3 Chapter 3 Rainbow Herb Hall

Duriaz and Furiana were surprised at Althea's sudden action.

"Althea is your head hurting again", asked Furiana as she reaches out her hand towards Althea's head.

Althea quickly hold her mother's hand and said, "mother, I m alright, I have to request something from father and you"

"What is it dear? As long as it is within our power, we will do everything for you", said Duriaz.

" If you are thinking about getting back at your cousin's for what they had done to you back at the Baro clan, then you don't have to worry about it. Your grandfather had already punished them", said Furiana patting Althea's shoulder.

"No mother, I am not talking about them. I just want to ask if I can get some money", said Althea awkwardly.

It's not like she is lacking money as the only daughter of the city lord of Alfing city. But to gather the herbs for refining the Earth Grade Revitalizing Pill, she needed a huge sum of money. Besides that, the most important thing she needed now is not the herbs but the pill refining cauldron.

" Althea, if you need anything, then Father can buy for you", said Duriaz.

Furiana hit Duriaz on his hand and said with a smile, "My Lord, our daughter is no more a small kid, she is already sixteen. we should give her privacy on some matters. Just give her how much she needed, what she does with the money is not for us to know"

Althea gave a thumbs up for her mother inside her mind.

Duriaz laughed and said, "haha, you are right my dear. Look at me, I still treat her as a little girl. Althea, tell Father how much you need"

Althea quickly calculated the money she will need and said, "Fifty thousand Rizas"

"Fifty thousand rizas", shouted Furiana and Duriaz.

Althea realized only now that she had given her parents a scare. In her previous life, she didn't need to worry about money as the sovereign and for the herbs, she just had to grab whatever she needed from the Medicine hall of the Hall of Mage. But in a remote area like the Southern region, fifty thousand rizas is a huge sum. Even her father's salary might be around twenty thousand Riza as a City Lord.

Althea pretended to cough and said, "I mean five thousand Rizas Father, it was a slip of tongue"

Saying that Althea grinned at them to avoid suspicion.

"My dear, you scared mother"

"So, you need five thousand Rizas, Father will send it to you later", said Duriaz letting out a breath.

"Thank you father, but I need now," said Althea with a grin again.

Duriaz and Furiana looked at each other. They were quite surprised at their daughter's strange demeanor.

"Okay, let me send the steward to get the money", said Duriaz

Steward Gwen got out of the dining room and quickly came back with the money.

Duriaz handed the banknotes to Althea who was looking at it with beaming eyes.

"Thank you, Father, I will be going out to market" saying that Althea ran out of the dining hall excitedly.

"Look at her full of energy, who will believe that she woke up just yesterday from a coma", said Furiana with a smile looking at Althea's back.

"I feel that she is no longer her old self, she changed a lot after a month in a coma", said Duriaz rubbing his chin.

Althea went back to her room and took out the money she had saved. As the only daughter of the city lord, her allowance was quite good. She receives two hundred Rizas every month as her allowance.

Gathering all the money Althea counted and said to herself, "Including all my savings, I have ten thousand rizas. I think it should be okay for now"

Althea only got ten percent of the actual sum she needed from her father so she had to change her plan.

"Okay, first I need to buy a cauldron and refine some Man-Grade pills and sell it to earn money"

In the land of Dura, the pills were graded into Man, Sky, Earth, Black, Saint, and Heaven Grade with Man being the lowest grade and Heaven being the highest Grade. There is also a legendary grade pill called the transcendent pills which no one had seen, it only existed in legends.

For the first time, Althea needed to earn money, shaking her head she muttered, "Who could have thought that The sovereign of the Hall of Mage would one day be so broke"

After changing her dress Althea walked out of her room.

She was wearing a plain yellow dress made of silk, on her sleeves were embroidered daisies. The dress was outlining her small waist and it made her look tall and slim. Her eyes were bright and round with a small high bridge nose and an oval face. Her hair was half braided and half lose, making her look like an easy-going girl.

"Young Miss looks a bit different today"

"I heard she was acting differently from before after she woke up from a coma"

"Our young miss got a huge blow this time, maybe that is the reason for the change in her demeanor"

The servants murmured among themselves after Althea walked out from the mansion.

Althea went directly to the Rainbow Herb hall, which is the biggest herb hall in Alfing city.

Althea stopped near a huge pavilion with three storeys. On the entrance was a plague, and on it was written 'Rainbow Herb Hall'.

Althea looked at the plague and said to herself, "Rainbow herb hall, branch of Rainbow cloud Academy's herb hall. Too bad I was reborn in their jurisdictions"

While Althea was looking at the plague, the manager of Rainbow herb hall happened to pass by. Recognizing Althea, he immediately halted his steps and greeted her, "Greetings Miss Luvan, what brought you here today early in the morning"

Althea retracted her gaze and said, "Hello Manager Zhar, I want to buy some herbs"

"Please, come inside"

Walking inside the hall, Althea looked around and thought, 'the Rainbow Cloud Academy is deserving of their title as the richest among the five great powers'

The hall was well decorated with huge pillars made out of white marbles, on it was carved the images of different kinds of herb and on the ceiling hung huge expensive chandeliers.

Coming near the counter, Althea hand over the piece of paper and said, "I want all the herbs written here"

Looking at the paper, Manager Zhar said, "Three batches, ingredients for Man-grade Energy Revitalizing Pill, wait a moment Miss Luvan"

The manager went inside the room and after a while, he came out holding a bag of herbs.

"Here it is Miss Luvan, it will be two thousand Rizas", said Manager Zhar.

"Thank you, Manager Zhar", Althea handed the money and took the herbs.

"It's my pleasure Miss Luvan, are you looking for something", asked Manager Zhar noticing Althea who is looking around the hall.

"Do you have cauldrons?" asked Althea

"We have, but it is stored on the second floor, if you want to buy it, I will bring you up"

"let's go up then"

Coming to the second floor, Althea looked at the cauldron and said, "Manager Zhar, your hall only has a bronze cauldron!"

"Yes Miss Luvan, the silver ones are sold out and as for the other high-grade cauldrons, you need to get it from the Alchemist guild," said Manager Zhar.

Inspecting the cauldron, Althea thought, 'for the time being I can use bronze cauldron but if I were to refine Earth-grade pill, I will at least need a silver cauldron

"How much is it?"

"It cost five thousand rizas Miss Luvan"

Handing out the money Althea asked, "Manager Zhar, do you know when will the next batch of silver cauldron be arriving"

"We have already informed the higher-ups for restocking the silver cauldron last week, so by the latest, it will arrive in the next ten days or so," said Manager Zhar.

"I will be troubling Manager Zhar to reserve one for me if it arrives"

"If Miss Luvan is sure to buy it then I will directly send it to City Lord's mansion once it arrived"

"Oh no, you don't need to, it belongs to my friend so I will personally come to pick it", said Althea quickly.

She can't let her parents know about the change in her spirit seed now.

Holding the Herb and Cauldron, Althea hurried back home. On the way back Althea was complaining about the weight of the cauldron inside her mind.

'If I had a spatial bracelet, I would not suffer like this. Too bad, this is Southern region not central region, here a spatial bracelet is so rare'

A spatial bracelet is an artifact used to store things.

Inside the room, Althea placed the cauldron and the herbs she bought on the table. Wiping off the sweat on her forehead, Althea said, " That was tiring, I need to get my hands on the spatial bracelet as soon as possible"

After sorting out the herbs, Althea placed the bronze cauldron in front of her and started to carve some designs on it.

"Phew... that took a lot of my energy"

What Althea carve on the cauldron was an energy trapping formation, since she is only a low-level mage and on top of that, she had to use a bronze cauldron it would be hard for her to refine a high-quality Man-grade pill.

"Okay, lets me start refining the pill now"
