Meeting the Emperor and accepting the decree
While inside the carriage Liang Liu Yang is still pissed that she is holding her head. For her to get pissed easily, that matter might have been engraved to her mind to have that impact and she wants to forget it as fast as possible. She then looked outside of the window and saw a luxurious palace which made her awe since she had never saw a true palace in her past life and this one is a true one where it is lively.
"Young Lady Liang we are near the palace" She heard a voice outside seemingly the voice of the eunuch which she just nodded, though the person on the outside didn't see it.
The carriage then stopped after a few minutes and then she saw the palace clearly, she then wonders her eyes around and get a little bit amused, the eunuch then guides her to the palace gates where she saw two guards. Those guards are looking at her from head to toe as if measuring her worth but she didn't pay attention to them that much since she didn't have time for them for her to care. When the huge gate was opened she saw a dream like scenery that she can only see in dramas.
"Follow me Young Lady Liang" she nodded and then follow the eunuch, there are so many buildings inside the palace and she cannot help but wonders how many people live in this place, because of how big it is but, that will only be in her mind for a while.
While following the eunuch something caught her eyes, it is a silhouette of a young woman hiding on one of the trees looking at her maliciously, when she looked at it carefully there is someone with her which looks like her maids, there are two of them. She seems to have the same age as her and it seems like she is a princess.
Though that woman may have passed as a princess but it is a young woman who is her wicked rival.
When the Eunuch once again talked to her she didn't notice that they are already on the main palace where the Emperor is. They then entered that building which she then saw people going in and out. They waited for her to be announced and then they entered.
She then saw people sitting in an orderly manner then those people then looked at her, she then retrieved her eyes from them and looked in front of her where she can saw a high platform with a quite fancy chair where there is an old man sitting with his own fancy clothes, behind that person is a young woman looking at her, though there is something different about that person.
She was then told by the Eunuch to greet the Emperor which she did and she looked up at the Emperor and he seems like very pleased about something, she wonders why he is pleased though? If this person is her subordinate in the past that is definitely what she'll tell him.
"Miss Liang, have you already learned about the reason why you are summoned here?" She then nodded her head and then said that she is aware which make the Emperor even more pleased with this little girl, she is a much obedient girl than what he expected.
"That is right, you are here to Marry my first son who passed away, but aren't you going to regret this decision in the future?" She was asked by the Emperor, though that question is unfamiliar to someone like her who had never had a romantic relationship even in her past life.
"I have already made my decision and I think that it can benefit both party since this girl had already promised not to love once again after the fourth prince reject this humble one" Almost all of the people inside the room where quite flabbergasted.
When they saw the girl entered the room they had already expected her unruly behavior who is extremely in love to their fourth prince like a crazy woman but what they saw is a calm and emotionless face of a young girl that is quite unproportioned to her small body, that look on her face looks mature and experienced but when they heard her answer the news about her being in love to the prince resurfaced and they looked at her despicably.
"Haha Yong er this little girl seems like she is indeed in love with you" The emperor looked at the person beside him which surprised the little girl in from of him. In her mind is a sentence 'he is the fourth prince?' though she cannot say that loudly since that will ruin her plan but thankfully she had learned it earlier because if not, this people might think that there is something wrong. Thankfully those relatives are not that blabbermouths. If they are they will find something that they didn't thought, they deserve. She sneered at the thought, thankfully her face is naturally expressionless so that sneer didn't get noticed.
This might look like a little unfair for her but the truth is that she didn't want to get bounder to any of the living people in this era because she might get monopolize through marriage and that is the last thing that she didn't want to happen. This is an opportunity to an independent woman like her.
The fourth prince just smiled at his father and then the matter was forgotten and then they continued.
"Then it is a great thing that you have let go of a love that will never come to fruition, besides the crown pr… my first son is a good candidate you might fall in love with him in the underworld" The hall then get silent but the truth is that the people inside is just holding their laughter, falling in love with him in the underworld means that in order for her to fall in love again she needs to follow her husband. Liang Liu Yang know what is going through the people's mind but she just ignored it since it has nothing to do with her who has already made up her mind besides a woman can live through the end without relying to a man's power.
"Liang Liu Yang then accept my emperor's decree" She raised her head and saw the piece of paper that was bounded by two jade stick, she then accepts it and then bowed again to the Emperor.
Looking at her accepting the decree, the fourth prince, Yi Yongle is quite confuse on what the uneasiness in his heart all about specially when the woman turned around and left.
