17 Chapter 17 Died Once

"Huh?? Fourth Lord have you met her before??

Huo Yan didn't reply to his question instead he looked out of the window with a small smile.

"Investigate her. Send the results to me immediately"

"Of course... But Fourth Lord, do you really think that she is Miss W??

Huo Yan threw back a question at him. "Do you?? I'm going back to my Villa, if you need anything you can tell me. But these days I don't want to be disturbed"

"Alright.

Huo Yan stood up to leave the restaurant, not noticing the person who tried to catch up to him. Wu Tang tried to reach him but she was no match for his longs lean legs. He entered his car and zoomed off.

Huo Yan brought out his laptop to watch the surveillance video that Master Zheng sent to him. He saw everything that happened the moment Wu Mei walked in, anyone who watches this video can tell that the little girl was trying not to get annoyed. Huo Yan smiled. It seems his stay in Country Y wouldn't be bad after all.

Wu Tang and Wu Li went home after Wu Tang failed to meet Huo Yan. They pondered on the last words of Wu Mei.

"What did she mean by what she said??

Wu Tang sneered. "Mother she must be trying to scare us, do you want to believe what they b*tch said??

"No, but...

"Mom, don't worry nothing will happen!! She just wants to scare us!!

Wu Li sighed. "Okay, if you say so... Tangtang you should focus on your studies and don't mind Wu Mei. She is just trying to bring you down, I checked her results in her former school.....

Wu Tang smiled , she started twirling her hair.

"How is it?? She is always last isn't she??

"Tangtang... Wu Mei has always been a straight A student.

Wu Tang sat up straight with shocked eyes.

" A straight 'A' student?? How is that possible!! She is a country bumpkin, how can she be a straight 'A' student!!

"Tangtang, calm down. The curriculum in the country side should be different from the how they teach in the big cities. Maybe Wu Mei wouldn't be able to catch up.

Wu Tang nodded, evidently pleased.

"That's true... Mom don't you know that I have been the best student for a long time?? No one can ever take my place!!

Wu Mei walked into the house. A dark silhouette jumped on her body but Wu Mei didn't dodge it

"Shanshan, when did you get back??

Shanshan held Wu Mei by the elbow and dragged her into the house.

"It hasn't been long, I made ice cream for you. But you mustn't have too much, you know your stomach is weak.

Wu Mei smiled, her eyebrows twitching at how motherly Shanshan seems. Wu Mei took her bag from the somewhat excited Shanshan so she could have her bathe.

"Meimei, remember your promise to me..... I've already asked around about the amusement parks that are in the city. I can see that you are willing to spend money, so can we go the amusement park owned by Huo Corporation??

"Huo Corporation?? They have an amusement park??

Shanshan laughed, her pretty face glowing. She flipped her hair back and skipped to Wu Mei.

" Meimei, you are a bigshot and yet you don't know that Huo Corporation has an amusement park?? Are you that uninterested??

Wu Mei blinked.

_Not really.... I'm not interested in going to amusement parks at all. It's only because of you.

Wu Mei didn't say this out loud but Shanshan knew what she was thinking about. When they were still little girls, their older brothers wanted to take them to the amusement park.

When they got there Wu Mei just stood there with her lazy eyes. While the others were playing and having fun, Wu Mei was busy playing coding games with her laptop. Until the time they left, Wu Mei never joined them in playing, she only ate ice cream.

"Do you want me to reserve the whole amusement park for you?? Like you said, I like spending money.....

Shanshan chuckled. Trust Wu Mei to be so blunt and honest.

She (Shanshan) waved her hands, a large teardrop hanging at the back of her head.

"There is no need for that, where is the fun in reserving the whole amusement park. The more the merrier!! But even if I asked you to reserve the park, can you?? Even though Huo Corporation mostly deals with stocks and whatnot, they can still run an amusement park and they are tycoons in managing businesses. Not everyone can reserve a place they own.....

Wu Mei smiled, her white pearly teeth and canines making her look cuter than usual. Even Shanshan couldn't help but squeal in her mind.

"I have my own ways. Shanshan I'm really tired now, I'll go bathe so I can eat my ice cream!!

When it comes to ice cream and lollipops, Wu Mei's enthusiasm is no less than a kid that was given lollipop for the first time.

Wu Mei left the sitting room with her school bag hanging from her shoulders. After locking her door she stripped and stood in front of the mirror. Her dark eyes turned red at the sight of her flawless body.

In her last life she didn't have the luxury of standing in front of the mirror to admire her body.

Is it body that was full of scars that she was supposed to admire?? The bruised body of a girl no less than fourteen?? Throughout those years, the things she passed through can't be counted with one finger. From problem to problem to problem, her life was never peaceful.
