Rain poured heavily from the heavens, accompanied by brilliant flashes of lightning that illuminated the darkened sky. Clad in combat suits, a group of five cautiously navigated their way through the debris and wreckage of decimated buildings.

The air hung heavy with smog, casting a veil of darkness over the desolate landscape. The scorched earth, riddled with craters, lay barren and devoid of any signs of life.

Once a majestic world brimming with breathtaking wonders, now lay in ruins, its beauty reduced to a mere memory.

After hours of arduous trekking, the group of five finally reached their destination. Before them stood a towering, ominous barrier, tinted in a dark, yellowish hue, stretching infinitely towards the heavens.

"Dren, the negation crystals," Dwaine voiced out shattering the silence.

A boy with vibrant purple hair retrieved the crystals and passed them over to the individual.

The crystals were arranged in a circular formation, firmly attached to the barrier. He carefully sketched a magical circle to secure the crystals within it. Next, he drew a smaller circle connecting all the crystals.

With a dazzling glow, the crystals lit up as the barrier encased within the circle flickered and vanished. A passage, large enough for an adult to pass through, materialized before them. Stepping through, they found themselves on the other side of the barrier, their astonishment evident

The scenery was amazing. The area was surrounded by lush trees and flowers of different colours. The blue sky with fluffy clouds, teemed with flying creatures. Not far away lay a small lake encircled by a variety of colorful flowers, emitting a faint glow. The surface was pristine clear, and they were able to see the creatures swimming peacefully.

The change of scenery proved to be quite shocking to them, especially considering the landscapes they had passed through.

Thousands of years ago, the goddess of nature, aided by the primordial entity Gaia, brought forth the creation of Planet Mithral. The inhabitants of this planet were once renowned for their ferocity and immense strength. Their rapid healing abilities rendered them formidable adversaries during the celestial war. However, tragedy struck when two mighty entities clashed on their planet, resulting in the disappearance of these remarkable beings.

The once breathtaking beauty and abundant wonders that adorned the planet were forever altered in the aftermath of this celestial conflict.

The group of five took shelter under a colossal tree with wide sprawling branches.

" Alright, everyone, listen up," Dwaines voice echoed, his blonde hair shimmering in the faint light. " We must locate the healing orb and leave the planet as soon as possible. "

"The city is being controlled by creatures, created from the healing orb. Their numbers isn't that much, and I believe we will be able to handle them with relative ease."

"Belle and George will cause a distraction while Will, Dren, and I sneak into the city. The healing orb is at the centre of the city which will be our meeting point."

"Remember, this is a test to show what we have learnt in the academy and a chance to prove our worth. I'm counting on you guys. Don't blow it up. I need those points. And also, be careful."

Belle stood out among the group as the lone girl, her shoulder-length hair framing her pale complexion.

George, a young man with brown hair, exuded confidence as he stood, fixated on the distant cityscape. His eyes, a captivating shade of golden brown, sparkled with determination. His hair was neatly tied back in a neat bun. He held a colossal hammer twice his own size.

"Let's get on with it," he said his voice brimming with determination as he tapped his hammer, signaling his readiness to proceed."

Although the city was a mere five miles from their current position, its towering presence was unmistakable amidst the vast expanse of wildflowers that stretched out before them.

"Race you there," Belle said as flames burst forth from her feet, propelling her forward.

The distance was easily covered by both of them. Standing before the city, Belle suddenly raised her hands, long whips of flames materialised out of thin air, encircling her arms.

She leaped high towards the towering city gate and unleashed a powerful strike, slammming the fiery whips onto the gate. The gate was engulfed in flames. The flame crept along the gate, devouring its wooden frame as it spread towards the surrounding trees. Belle delivered a kick to the gate, sending it hurtling into the heart of the city.

Deep within the city, a loud bell rang through the air.

"The city is under attack," a dark purple-skinned guy shouted. Its physique was bulky and seemed to be carved from a sturdy tree trunk. Hardened roots intwined across his chest forming an exoskeleton that served as an armour. It's lower legs and feet were larger than their upper legs.

Several purple like creatures wieldng weapons came out from a crude building.

Let's go! He commanded as they moved towards the city gate. His words a symphony of knowledge that only they could comprehend

These creatures, born of the sphere's potent energy, possessed an extraordinary gift - the ability to transform into intricate, sinewy roots and traverse the earth's secret labyrinth beneath.

Through their unique ability to metamorphose into roots, these extraordinary beings had become the guardians of this city.

They suddenly saw a large flaming object coming towards them at great speed. Those endowed with heightened Agility transformed into intricate networks of roots and disappeared into the protective veil of the soil. The slow ones fate were sealed as the gate crashed upon them consuming all in its path.

The remaining creatures cautiously traversed the remaining distance beneath the earth. They emerged from the ground, finding themselves at the very spot their gate once stood. A devastating fire had ravaged the surroundings, its destructive flames devouring everything in its path.

Charge! The huge purple skinned creature, shouted loudly.

Belle could see several figures coming out from the flames and quickly charged at them.

With a swing of her flaming whips, several of the creatures were tossed back into the city.

"Earth formation," the dark purple skinned creature shouted.

The remaining creatures then turned into bundles of roots once again, heading towards them.

George lifted his colossal hammer with ease, placing it on his shoulder. With deliberate steps he advanced towards the forefront, each steps exuding a quiet confidence. The head of the hammer a sight to behold, its surface sparkled with an array of radiant gems, their ethereal glow captivating.

Leaping high, he easily lifted the hammer and slammed it to the ground. The gems glowed slightly before the hammer hit the ground.

The very earth trembled beneath the force unleashed. Fierce gust of wind roared in symphony in the wide-range assault. The ground, scarred by the impact, bore witness to the aftermath, the ground dotted with small craters.

" It seems you've gotten to the peak of the middle realm " Belle said slightly amazed.

" Finish it up, " He said in a gruffly voice.

" With pleasure, "she said with a smile and started swinging her whips in a circular manner.

The air crackled with an intense energy. Rings of scorching flames materialized, swirling into existence before hurtling towards the creatures that emerged from the depths of the earth. Caught off guard and in a state of disarray, the creatures stood no chance as the searing inferno engulfed them, reducing their once menacing forms to mere ashes in a matter of moments. The air was filled with the acrid scent of burning flesh.

" Let the carnage begin! "
