In his sleep, Ben dreamed about his past. It wasn't a bad memory.

He was in the middle of an expedition, sitting with his teammates and talking about random stuff. The main topic of the conversation was „way of killing monsters ', followed by skills and status.

The memory was not bad in itself, but it was connected to the bad memories.

Soon, the dream slowly shifted to a nightmare.

The nightmare could have made it into the cinema. Picture of dead companion.

Creepy monster. Pain. Craziness…

It was only at this moment that Ben woke up. His heart rate was high. His body was sweating. His hands were trembling.

Suddenly like he never had a nightmare, the trembling stopped and the heart rate slowed down to normal.

Ben stood up and changed his clothes. Looking in his wardrobe, he realised that he was in great need of new clothes.

He looked at his clock to see that it was 3 am.

´I went to bed early, so I had enough sleep.´

Still in bed, Ben opened the drawer at his bed. He pushed the book away and took out the syringe. He injected himself with the liquid like he did a few days ago.

Wanting one more special skill in his last, Ben couldn't stop taking it after such much effort. It was the same idea of after losing money in a casino, you continued to play till you have won back the money or lost everything.

Ben didn't even inspect his status or his skill list as he did the other times.

Going to his laptop, Ben surfed about any new incidents.

´The military has finally begun to use poison on the monster. It was time!

It seems like China has the most deaths caused by monsters. This isn't surprising. The chance that a monster appears in a populated area is bigger. Many research companies are buying the corpses. It should be about time that my employees have made some achievements in their research.

It won't be long before the meeting takes place. Now that I think about it, I still need to write an email to ask for taking part.´

In the speech of the UNO, they requested research companies to help in any way against the monsters, the portals or any other mysteries.

To present and exchange the discoveries, the UNO had planned to organize a meeting at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York.

It was an event planned on 10th of July.

Big and famous research companies received a direct invitation, while smaller companies had to ask to take part in the meeting.

Ben wouldn't go there him-self. He had Steven and the employee for the task of explaining the fake research and result to the most powerful men on earth.

After finishing sending the request, Ben followed by looking in forums.

He created accounts and asked every time with different words the same question:

„Hello everyone,

I have killed a monster with a gun and since that moment, I became stronger.

Has anyone experienced the same feeling?"

´If I give the classification and knowledge about exp, so early It could be that nobody believes what I say. As long as a community with leveled-people comes together, the UNO will more likely believe it.

It would be nice to have a test subject, but capturing a monster and killing it for some little test would be too costly and time-consuming. Even if not every little information is proved or believed, other companies will surely test it out. In the end, Mirai Research will take the most mérit.´

After posting them, Ben looked another hour through the forums. On one of the german forums, a talk was taking place about a picture from a window. The poster asked, which animal it was? As no animal existed like that, they speculated that it was a monster. Others thought that it was a fake.

As Ben saw the picture in the post, Ben reacted immediately. Following the link to the instagram account, he found the place where the picture had been taken.

If Ben hadn't experienced what he did he may have believed that it was fake, but the picture reminded him of one of his first victims.

In the picture was a small deer-like creature with green hides.

It was larger than his first one and had prominent horns.

He took half an hour to arrive at the place.

Ben knew that it probably already left a while.

Arriving at the mundane place, the sun was just going up. Just as he was thinking how his travel had been in vain.

He heard a loud cry. Following the cries of the pain and of help, Ben drove to the entry of the forest. If there wasn't this closed red and white automotive barrier blocking the way, Ben would have driven in.

With his experience of the last deer-like monster, Ben chose to not take a weapon with him. If the monster ran away the moment he saw Ben with a weapon, Ben would never forgive his stupidity.

He got out of the car and opened the back of the car and the cage.

Going inside the forest, Ben didn't hear any more cries.

Everything was so silent. After a short run, he perceived a light source a few hundreds of meters away. Running in the direction of the source, Ben becomes more and more focused.

Suddenly, Ben stopped. What he saw would have been a nightmare for others.

Ben only stopped due to surprise. Corpses of a few young men littered on the ground. They all seemed to have been pierced by a sharp object. Ben didn't even have to think about what killed them.

A few meters away from the corpses, was a large deer-like creature. It was peacefully eating something in the dark. Hearing the steps, it turned around.

It revealed its dirty body. Whatever its hide color had been, it was now covered by different stains of red. Its horn seemed majestic even with a substanz dripping from it from time to time.

They looked into each other's eyes. When the deer stamped with its right limb on the ground like it was going to run over him.

Then at an astonishing speed it runned to Ben.

Evading without any difficulty, Ben started to run away.

This wasn't a hunt for Ben, but more like a deer hunting Ben.

With a mix of evading and running, Ben was slowly luring it to his car.

In such a situation, his evasion skill showed its true worth.

While he evaded, he also tried to inspect the weakness of the monster.

Its speed was a lot faster than Ben, but it wasn't easy to change direction when taking a charge at him.

As Ben didn't have physical contact with it, he had no idea who was stronger.

If he had to estimate its stats till that point it would be Strength: 30-40, Agility: 35-40, Vitality: 30-35, Stamina: 35-40, Resilience: 30 and Intelligence: 5-8.

After Ben's estimation, it was a medium-leveled monster with well-balanced stats.

Ben was already feeling tired of evading with his full-speed. His badly-balanced stats were finally showing their weakness.

Ben arrived at the entrance of the forest. He leaned at the barrier and waited for the next attack. The monster sped up again, just as Ben was going to be hit.

He pushed with all his strength away from the barrier. With this sudden acceleration even with the deer changing the direction of the horn, it still didn't hit Ben.

Barrier, which was still vibritating by the push, was rammed by a deer.

Barrier broke in two and the huge dent was where the deer had hit it.

The car took damage from the part of the barrier.

´You f*cking monster. It is one thing to kill humans, but destroying my car goes over my tolerance. I will promise you that you will suffer.´

Using the brief confusion of the deer, Ben took hold of the horn.

Wanting to lift it up with his 46 Strength stat, he tried to move it up.

The deer wasn't stupid. It moved its horn up with all its strength.

Ben, who was already holding with all his strength, was lifted up like he weighted nothing. Ben lost grip by lifting up as the blood was making the horn slippery.

As he was flying a few meters away, the deer was already charging at his landing point. Ben didn't wait any second longer.

Activating Vision of slow motion and mitochondrial Overdrive.

His body was suddenly on fire. His body was reacting to a command given by his brain. The energy level in the body rose, while Ben saw everything slower.

He adjusted his body to land on his feet. Just as the deer was coming to hit him, Ben squatted and readied his arm. Ben took a deep jump to the deer.

The impact was painful for Ben. But instead of flying away, Ben held its neck with all his strength.

The impuls, which had been given to Ben, was thanks to holding the neck affecting both of them.

The deer stumbled, while Ben was strangling it. Although Ben's back was bleeding from rolling, he didn't stop until the deer stopped moving.

Only then did he take his arms away from the large neck. Without waiting a second he moved the deer into the car and closed the cage. Taking extra measure for the medium-leveled monster, Ben tied the limbs up with steel chains.

Not giving it any chance of creating an impulse strong enough to break out.

Treating his wounds inside the car, Ben had again destroyed one of his few T-shirts.

Changing his clothes, Ben brought the monster to the company.

giving very precise orders and information about the deer.

After delivering the monster, Ben was called by his sister. It was already 11 am.

They had decided the day before to go shopping in the morning, then eat there and continue shopping until night.

The rest of the day didn't have any surprises. Only his sister was shocked with the amount of clothes Ben bought. They had to take a self-driving taxi to transport all the clothes back home.
