In the grand hall of huajins court all the consuls were stumped after receiving two letters. One that was sent by their emperor mentioned the demands given by Nanling whereas the next one was from Pei Jin who included his second option along with the demands.

Due to it the consuls were now having mixed feelings. The option given by Pei Jin was far too tempting but they also regretted for not having any capable heirs to hold the reigns of an entire kingdom.

Xiuzhi's faction were feeling excited inside their hearts while showing worry and anxiousness on their faces. All the consuls didn't know what to answer back. Pei Jin's letter also subtly hinted of how all the things that took place was intentional malicious scheme of their emperor who tried to chew more than he can swallow.

To say they were not angry would be lie. How they wished to reverse back time when the late emperor had entitled Shiyou as a crown prince. The consuls also knew Nanling was thoroughly dissapointed and angry at their emperors behaviour thus now made it purposefully difficult for them.

Even after discussing for three hours straight they couldn't reach to a decision. Hopeless and troubled they sat in a daze when a soldier barges through the door with excited and loud voice "they have come..first prince and general cheng is back"

The consuls were shocked, suprised and finally excited. The head of the neutral faction runs near the soldiers face scaring him and asks "what did you say?..is it really first prince..."

The soldier calms his heart and replies "yes..it is indeed first prince...their entire group had returned...they are coming to palace as we speak.."

All the consuls cheered for their return and ran to the gates eagerly waiting for the people to come.

Though few but they felt like forever when waiting for them. Finally they saw a very old looking carriages rushing through the palace gates. After entering the gates from the carriage came out the worked out Xiuzhi and equally poor looking people.

All the ministers hovered around them with worry and led inside the palace hall. The head of the neutral faction questions very concerned "your highness...thankfully you have arrived...though it's not good to mention when you have arrived after such a dangerous journey but huajin currently is facing a very big crisis..."

Xiuzhi looked very tired with unkept hair, dust on his torn clothes before him General cheng snarls "we know...after all we were schemed to be assassinated..thankfully heavens took pity on us...resulting to escape by a hairs length...never have this general thought for our emperor to be so cruel and malicious...to try and kill his sibling who just wanted to perform his filial duty.."

All the consuls were in shock and confusion after hearing to General. Like a fish gaping for air they opened and closed their mouths several times but none could utter a word. They look at the poor looking first prince who had very sad, tired and dissapointed expression.

Xiuzhi finally speaks after giving a loud sigh "it seems...Shiyou's hatred for me cannot be forgotten even after sitting on the throne...though once we were competitors for the same throne but at the end...this prince had truly accepted once fate and decided to start new...but alas never had I thought for Fuhuang to turn ill suddenly...this prince leaving for the endless cliff was like giving a good opportunity for ones brother to kill this prince..

Ministers...we have heard about the issue on our way and similarly have to share our own findings..though how much of you believe is on you but not a word is made up by this prince...this prince brother was the one who caused Fuhuang to turn ill suddenly...so he could ascend the throne early as possible...

It seems he had long planned for this attack on Nanling with the rest of the generals and Mo Yan on Nanling...the third elder of the sect was also in cahoots with him but along the way something went wrong within them resulting to third elders annihilation...before his death third elder managed to poison him resulting to his loss of martial strength and ability to birth a heir...

After he found out he became crazy thus his intention to attack Nanling and kill me became a obsession...though we didn't manage to get the mythical elixir flower but with help of General cheng we managed to come out of the forest...

Stationed right at the entrance the soldiers there attacked us with intention to kill...we had to escape back inside the forest while them hot on our tails...thankfully we managed to keep our lives...after finally managing to kill them we reached here..on our way we met a disciple of the third elder who disclosed us the matter of Shiyou's poison and his failed attack on Nanling"
