"I want to trade for a large sum of gold coins."

"Huh? I'm guessing it's for something important."

"That's right. We need gold to fully develop our guild. Unfortunately, the amount we have is not nearly enough."

"Hmm, your guild has been doing well. Moreover, you've been in the public eye because of your guild's feats."

"Mhm, I'm even prepared to trade some valuable information with you."

"Alright, you've sold me. The information you've provided so far has been extremely helpful. How much would you like?"

"How about 500,000?"

"…"

"I believe I'm offering you a bargain, you know."

"Sigh! Very well, I'll have someone transfer it to you."

"Then I thank you in advance. The information I have is to prepare as many Magic Crystals as you can."

"Could you explain why?"

"I'm sorry, but I have no plans of revealing that information. Just know the more you prepare, the better."

"Well, alright. I believe this has been satisfactory."

"Oh wait, I have a small favor to ask."

"Do you have an employee inside the Library of Secrets named Jessica Hobins?"

"I would have to check, why?"

"Could you fire her for me? Oh, and also fire Matt Kein?"

"May I ask why?"

"Jessica, I guess you could say, is my girlfriend. Then Matt is the person she's cheating on me with."

"Oh. I'll see what I can do. Do they know about this?"

"No, they don't. I'm waiting a little longer to break off the relationship and expose her."

"Well, don't wait too long. Mia is my friend's daughter, and I won't let her get hurt."

"You don't have to worry about that."

Alex, satisfied with the trade, said his goodbyes and left the building. He had already accomplished what he wanted to achieve, and now he needed to prepare part two of his plan. He had already started to ruin their lives in the real world, and now he was going to do it in the game world. Matt had created a guild in the previous timeline, and he was going to destroy it. While he was at it, he might as well damage their souls. Although he couldn't personally do it, he had a guild to do his bidding. While he was walking home, he messaged Mia about what to do and to inform the others to help. He arrived at his house and logged back into the game immediately.

He was back inside the Inn and decided to use an item. He looked at the Orb of Fire item and activated it. The Orb of Fire gave the user a random tier 2 Pure Flame. Pure Flames are flames that are created by the world and are the purest form of fire. The Purgatory Fire is also a Pure Flame, although it's a tier 5 Pure Flame. Of course, Alex wasn't complaining as even in the past timeline, tier 1 Pure Flames were rare, much less a tier 2 Pure Flame. While he watched the item shatter, a flame appeared in front of him contained inside a glass orb. Alex used his Seeker Eyes to inspect the item.

A tier 2 Pure flame that's born inside a harsh cold environment. It's capable of emitting both heat and cold temperatures. ]

Alex was ecstatic with the flame he had obtained. It was a dual-attribute flame! These types of flames are rare even among Pure Flames. Although he still had to merge with the flame, he knew this would help him immensely. He agreed to bind the flame to him, and the glass orb broke. The flames then seemed to envelop him. While the pain was enormous, it was not nearly as bad as the Purgatory Fire. After around three hours, the flame had mostly been consumed, however, the pain was much more intense than the Purgatory fire. He looked at the completion rate in agony.

The last 8% felt like an eternity, however, he was barely able to prevail and fully absorb the flame. He closed his eyes in relief and looked at the system messages.

[ You've been bound by the Winter's Flames! ]

[ Heat, Cold, Fire, and Water resistance have been increased by 50 points ]

[ You can now fully control the Winter's Flames ]

[ Attributes have been increased by 20 points ]

Alex couldn't control himself and burst out laughing. He was extremely happy as this increase in attributes and resistance was more of a bonus. Pure Flames have a miraculous effect on improving Subclasses' production percentage. Pure Flames were often called a production Subclasses' dream. Alex began to manipulate the flame inside his hand and watched its beautiful appearance. The flame was light blue with streaks of red all over. He smiled and began to think about what Sub-Classes he should pick up. He had already decided on the Engraver Subclass; however, he was also thinking about getting the Alchemist Sub-Class. The main thing he was unsure about was also getting the Forger Subclass. While the Forger Subclass was one of the main subclasses, he didn't want to divide his time too much. He put the matter aside for now and started to think about what to do next. He didn't think he would be able to get access to the area he wanted. He sighed and began to brainstorm other possible locations he could use. He couldn't think of any places close enough to reach in time for the Dimensional Auction. He sighed and began to leave the inn. He knew that his situation wouldn't become better if he just stayed inside his room. While he was leaving the inn, he noticed that a guard was stationed outside the front door. He just assumed it was the princess's measure to protect whoever they're meeting. He sighed and was about to leave when he was stopped by the guard. While confused, he asked,

"Is something wrong, guard?"

"No, it's nothing like that. I've just never seen your face around here."

"I had just moved here, although I was mostly sleeping because of the long journey."

"I see. May I know your name?"

"I'm Lucifer, although I would like to know why you need my name."

" I've been told to record all the names of the people staying here."

"…"

"Alright, have a good day, Lucifer."

"Thanks, I guess."

Alex started to head away from the inn with a strange expression on his face. He didn't know what they were planning, however, he felt he would get implicated. He just hoped his feelings were wrong.
