CH: 12 Meeting A Celebrity

At ten o'clock in the morning, we prepared to board the plane from Boston Airport.

The city's airport had only been built and put into use last year. Prior to its construction, travelers had to journey to Manchester Airport in the neighboring city for flights.

Upon entering Boston Airport, Henry couldn't help but notice the lack of security measures. Despite it being his second visit, he remained perplexed by the lax security standards in airports across the USA. The events of 9/11 had ushered in many changes, but evidently not in this aspect.

Nevertheless, the relaxed security worked in Henry's favor, considering his plans to import and export goods, not all of which were strictly 'legal' as they say.

As they made their way through the airport, Henry suddenly stopped. Susan turned to him with a confused expression, prompting Henry to request, "Babe, could you handle the tickets? I need to use the restroom."

"Don't worry about it, dear, but let's hustle. We can't afford to miss our flight, and I'm really looking forward to meeting your parents," Susan chirped cheerfully. With effortless grace, she took charge of their luggage and Henry's passport, her eyes shining with anticipation as she strode confidently towards the ticket counter. Her unspoken devotion was evident in her actions, as she didn't even ask about the money. She was truly simping for him.

Soon they checked in, Henry didn't look at the tickets until they boarded the plane, and once inside, Henry realized this girl had bought an economy class ticket. A dignified tycoon like himself, with over $40 Million in his bank, still flying in economy class—if everyone found out, they would laugh their teeth off.

"Susan babe, why did you buy economy class tickets, looking down on someone?" Henry asked as although two seats were in a row, they still didn't sit together.

As Henry sat in front and Susan sat behind him, Susan flashed him a big smile and spoke in a playful tone, "Henry, we'll all get to the destination either way, and the business class is several times more expensive." She reached out to gently touch his arm, her affection evident in every word. "I practically I'd spend every penny to be with you, my favorite goofball who I had fallen head over heels for." Her tone was affectionate, and her eyes sparkled with fondness as she teased him.

Looking at her expressions, Henry felt his heart moved. So Henry could only shake his head and give up.

Susan was flying for the first time, so she was pretty excited as she quickly forgot about the brainburst and whispered to Henry. "Babe they say those big stars often fly; do you think we will meet any?"

Henry couldn't help but roll his eyes; after all, "Which big star still flies in economy class? If you had bought business class before, there might have been a chance. But now it's improbable."

Susan's little face immediately showed a hint of disappointment, muttering to herself while looking around. "It would be great if we could meet a big star."

At her age, she, like most ordinary people, has some longing for the mystery of some big stars.

Henry ignored Susan's thoughts, and after sitting in his seat, he kept secretly sizing up the passengers on the plane, hoping to find some surprises, as they say there are many beauties on the plane.

But after looking for a while, he was a little disappointed that the opposite sex on this flight was just average in appearance.

Just then, a figure suddenly passed by, found the seat number, and sat in the same row as Henry and the others with the aisle in between.

Henry glanced at the person's appearance with the corner of his eye and was instantly enlightened.

The person looked to be in her 25s, wearing a yellow camisole with a figure that was about to burst out and wearing denim shorts with fair and plump legs exuding a unique charm of a mature woman with natural red hair. However, she still had a pair of sunglasses on her face, covering her delicate features, which made Henry feel a little regretful.

She had a sultry style and sex appeal that was unmatched by any woman. She was mind-blowingly beautiful. One could call her a bombshell.

'She is A Total Babe, What a right peach.'

The beauty seemed to notice Henry's unabashed gaze, took off her sunglasses, and made eye contact.

Henry smiled and nodded at her, but the beauty frowned at his unreserved gaze, put her sunglasses on again, and laid down on her seat.

"Babe, a star, a big star," Susan's excited voice brought Henry back to reality.

"What big star?" Henry turned and asked.

Susan danced in excitement and pointed secretly at the beauty across the aisle.

"Henry, she is Rita, a big star."

Henry was stunned and looked at the beauty next door again and secretly wondered why he had no impression at all, "Susan, are you mistaken? How can a big star travel in economy class?"

Susan affirmed as she spoke, "Babe, aren't you doing the same? And I am sure she is Rita, and I really like the TV series she stars in."

'Could it be this beauty really a star? No wonder she has such striking looks?' Henry became suspicious, but looking at the other party's appearance, traveling in economy class without any assistance around, she shouldn't be considered an A-list star, right?

However, what Susan said was not entirely wrong; looking at Rita's figure, she indeed looked like a big star. Henry said, "Babe, since you've seen a star you like, why don't you go ask for her autograph or contact information?"

Susan quickly waved her hand, "Henry, she is a big star; I dare not?"

Tsk?

"What's wrong with a star? They're all just normal people with a little bit of ego problems," Henry said with a smile and shook his head. "If you like, when a few years down the road, I plan to start a film and television company, especially investing in making good movies, shows, ads, cartoons, animation, and much more." Henry then gave her a cheeky smile. "Then you can choose whichever celebrity you like, and we will make her your sister."

Henry spoke openly and didn't deliberately lower his voice, which was loud enough for the beauty next door to hear in the corridor.

Rita felt a bit restless as she hadn't received any work for the past half year, and being a member of the entertainment industry from her father, she was fully aware of how important exposure is for a celebrity.

She was just a small-time star, and if she didn't have any impressive work for a long time, she would quickly be forgotten.

This time, Rita was going to Silicon Valley to audition for a drama, but these past few days, she had hit a wall in California, leaving her feeling uncertain. After all, she was already in her mid-twenties, and there were plenty of younger and more beautiful people in the entertainment industry.

To stand out in the entertainment industry, even with great acting skills, it was difficult to succeed without the support of a big shot. Behind the glamour, there was always a price to pay, and Rita was well aware of these rules of the game.

With the backing of a heavyweight, you only had to sell your soul once, rather than piecemeal to the entire Hollywood.

And she didn't reject them; in fact, she didn't have any options. Nobody had that option, as her father always told her, "Everything has a price. It's just what you're willing to pay for it."

So it was just a pity that she never encountered a real big shot, and now, hearing the words of the young man next door, who looked like someone who didn't have much money, talking about starting a film and television company and investing in television dramas, Rita suddenly felt uncomfortable.

Nowadays, with countless dramas flooding the market, with just a few hundred thousand or even hundreds of thousands, one could invest in movies and TV dramas.

However, Rita looked down on those shortly made words; these small-time bosses weren't even worth her attention.

Sitting in her seat, Susan covered her mouth and explained, "Babe, are you kidding? How can those big celebrities be my sisters?" In her mind, big celebrities were always high above, and ordinary people could only look up to them.

Henry sighed, "What's impossible? As long as the money is there, you can also become a celebrity."

Susan quickly waved her hand, "Babe, I don't want to be a celebrity."

Henry was just joking; he liked Susan's innocent and sweet appearance and certainly wouldn't let her enter the entertainment industry. "All right, if you don't want to be a celebrity, then don't. Why don't you ask for her autograph or contact information?"

Susan hesitated for a long time and didn't muster the courage. "Babe, I dare not." Seeing her look inexperienced, Henry felt a bit frustrated. "Forget it, I'll go ask for you."

With that, a confident smile appeared on his face as he greeted the big celebrity next door.
