Chapter 4

Gon soon finished eating his breakfast.

After that Jeong Hye also started eating. The secretary bought two servings earlier.

Time slowly passed and its noon.

Soon after they called Jeong Hye to fill in on the discharge procedure.

"I will be back soon baby. Mi-so take care of Gon in the meantime."

After saying that she left the room.

Five minutes later.

There was a strange silence present in the room. A sound suddenly broke it.

"Excuse me…"

Mi-so heard a childish voice directed at her. At first, she was confused and then the realization hit her.

She was surprised and couldn't hide her expression.

When she saw Gon looking at her, it confirmed he called her.

Gon called her.

She was surprised because as she is the secretary of Jeong Hye…she has been with her boss most of the time and had many opportunities to meet Gon, a countless number of times, in the past she has tried to interact with him.

All resulted in just a single response- silence.

Total silence.

After so many failed attempts she stopped trying.

But suddenly today out of nowhere he called her. As a matter of fact, it's their first conversation.

When Gon saw that Mi-so was thinking in her own world. He became speechless, how did she become a secretary if she acts like this.

"Excuse me, aunty…?" Gon once again tried to call her.

Mi-so snapped back to reality.

'What!!! aunty? I am not that old boy, I am only in my late twenties' That's what she wanted to say.

"Yes."

As it is their first conversation she suddenly didn't know how to address him, it's quite awkward.

"Can I get some water?"

Quickly Mi-so gave Gon a cup of water.

"Thank you." After drinking he returned the cup to her.

"No problem."

"By the way, you can just call me Gon."

"Sure, then Gon just call me sister in future." After replying she returned to sit.

She felt Gon was quite different because she has been working for her boss before Gon was even born. So, she has known Gon since his birth.

When she looked at Gon again, she saw him looking outside the window at the sky.

It already winter so the sky is not that visible. The heater in the room is the thing that is keeping them warm.

'I guess my parents are financially well off, well...just from the look of the room it sure is a VIP room. But there is an old vibe to this room. I can't put my finger on it. I sure did pass through a new world but what year is it?'

As Gon was thinking it suddenly hit him, why shouldn't he ask Mi-so.

'Well…I guess it not suspicious, right?'

Suddenly Gon turned toward her and asked.

"Sister, what day is today?"

Mi-so flinches in surprise when he suddenly turned towards her.

"Hmmm…today is the 8th of January Gon."

Gon cleared his throat and asked again.

"I mean what year is it?"

Mi-so tilted her head in confusion and answered

"It's 95…1995."

There was a flash of surprise in Gon's face but he quickly hid it.

'It seems I am reborn in a parallel universe nearly two to three decades back in past from the time he died in previous life.'

To put it correctly 28 years back in time and yes today was his previous life's birthday or today was the day and year he was born- 8th January 1995.

'Coincidence I don't think so, well…I left my past self in the back and I have a new life and a new birthday whom he can celebrate with. But still, I should have been born by now right in this parallel universe, but my gut feeling tells me that it's not possible. There can only be one him. I guess the watch is not that stupid right? Heck! Why am I even worrying over this topic? I am just a 5-year-old kid and slowly secrets well reveal themselves.'

But he found it funny because he knew his past self can't be born. After all, it's a paradox.

For example, what if he kills his past self, so his future self can't even be reborn- then it becomes a paradox.

The thing is- it can't happen because he has not reborn in the past but reborn in a parallel universe, which is currently 1995 and he is his only existence.

So, he knew the world will be different compared to his original earth. But didn't know how different.

Can only wait and see.

Gon stopped worrying over this topic because naturally he is a calm person and he has already died once so.

Gon knew he is Korean because before he didn't notice but he was actually speaking Korean. Just from this, he knew he was Korean. But he didn't know where on earth he is now, most likely in Korea but he wanted to confirm.

"Where are we now sister?" So, he asked Mi-so.

"In the hospital…" Replied Mi-so.

When Gon heard her reply, his lips twitched.

"You are in Seoul baby."

A third voice came in. When they checked out who it was, its Gon's mother.

She came back to the room when Gon asked the question.

She then turned towards Mi-so and told.

"Yesterday Gon was returning from his grandparents place that why he asked that question."

In return, she nodded.

Originally Jeong Hye was happy when she knew Gon was talking with her secretary.

From the signs Gon was showing earlier it seems he has returned normal. But they have to wait for his doctor for confirming his situation.

It's already noon so Mis-so went and bought lunch for them.

Then Jeong Hye sent her secretary away to give some important files to her husband for the meeting.

Gon soon fell asleep, as his body is small, he felt tired.

Jeong Hye saw her son sleeping. She was slowly patting his head.

She felt it was like yesterday that Gon was born, but it's already been 5 years.

Time sure waits for no one.
