1 Prologue

Since ancient times, people have believed in miracles. Shamans tried to conjure, waving their hands at the fire and mumbling something inarticulately, magicians invented new tricks, and writers created more and more unimaginable magical worlds.

Mankind has always longed for the unknown, strived to overcome its limits, tried to comprehend the unfathomable and sincerely dreamed.

However, if you sincerely dream about something - even the most incredible fantasy can come true ...

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a strange place.

I felt unusually light. My head was spinning, and everywhere were... Stars?

- Greetings, Rodion," came a soft female voice behind me, and I turned around.

Wow! How beautiful... Her face... Truly divine.

- Ahem, thank you," the girl was embarrassed. Sweetie. Wait, she read my mind?

- Yes," she smiled, and I felt awkward.

- My name is Elfiorra. I am the Supreme Goddess-Mother of Nature and Life," the woman said, and I rounded my eyes, examining the real goddess.

Her blue eyes were framed by small wrinkles that in a strange way only made her more feminine and attractive. A thin nose. Her lips were plump and seemed to glisten with moisture. Her hair shimmered with a silvery light as if alive. A slender neck, large breasts, slim waist and lush hips..... She wore a mid-thigh length silvery silk dress and the same silvery cloak to her knees, and her feet were shod in silver shoes with low heels.

She wasn't a model. Her breasts a little bigger, her hips a little wider. Not skinny, but... Maternal, yeah. Like a nurturing, mature milf. Oh, she's a mind reader! I felt embarrassed again, but the woman smirked understandingly, kindly and said:

- I give life to millions and billions of beings, create new souls and rebirth them in other worlds. And I was pleased with what you did.

Images of the slippery road, the sudden squeal of brakes, and the bus falling off the bridge into the river flooded my head.

- You sacrificed your life to save someone else's. I can still hear the echoes of sadness and gratitude of the girl you pushed off the bus. She will be a good mother through whom I will breathe three new lives.

Hearing that the girl had managed to get to land and escape, I was relieved, to which the goddess nodded contentedly and waved her hand.

- My children who have gone astray will undergo a cycle of purification and be reborn in a random world.

A strange vortex formed above her palm, in which an image of three multi-coloured clumps of energy appeared. Elfiorra blew in their direction, and (souls?) were enveloped in bright green energy.

I could smell the pine forest, and the green energy began to dissolve all colours, leaving only pure white orbs with a golden stone inside.

- Those who have lived honourable lives lose their memories when they are reborn, but can choose the world in which to be reborn. Heroes, on the other hand, who have performed a heroic deed can keep their memories and choose a world, and sometimes receive the blessings of the gods.

Excitement surged in my chest. This is the chance I've been dreaming of since I opened the first fantasy book about reincarnation!

- So I can go to any world? - I asked with a gasp.

- Yes," the goddess nodded, "you can go into a fairy tale, a novel, or a film. Or ask for a world of your preference. Magic? Psionics? Qi? The Middle Ages? Maybe a high-tech world? Do you love peace and wish to live the peaceful life of a farmer? Or does your soul crave adventure and danger?

An opportunity to enter a fairy tale, a fantasy with magic, flight, pixies and catgirls! At this point, I thought deeply about what to choose. The world I've read about or seen the film about is comfortable at first glance. Favourite characters. Seeing them in person, getting to know them, going on adventures together. Knowledge of canon.

On the other hand, I've already re-read a lot of fanfics, I want something new. A new world, new stories, new characters--

- I get it. So a world with beastmen, elves, dark elves, dwarves, and other races. The Middle Ages, right? Gods that live amongst humans. Yes, the lesser gods are many, as are their doppelgangers. Yes, it's possible. Adventurers, dungeons? Good. There is a suitable world, and more than one.

Listening to Elfiorra, I grew more and more enthusiastic, and the goddess continued:

- Now I wish to reward you. What is your soul? Hero class, talent for magic, divine marksmanship? Perhaps a system?

Hearing the code word, I immediately decided on the choice, and the goddess clarified:

- Unlimited by way of a system that evolves with you from the actions you take is not a rare choice, but about the soul...

- She won't be able to gain a soul and personality? - I asked a little disappointed.

- I will breathe the energy of Life into it, but whether or not it will become self-conscious is up to you. A nascent soul needs care and a warm attitude~

Suddenly, Elfiorra raised her palm, over which a clump of silvery light appeared. She blew on it, and a stream of green energy travelled through her plump lips. It smelled like pine forest again, and the sphere took on a lettuce colour.

- Well, Rodion, this is the end of your stay here.

The goddess nudged the orb in my direction, and it sailed straight into my chest. A tingling sensation spread throughout my body, and the woman asked:

- What do you wish to be reborn as?

What? An elf? A cat? Orc? Brrr, I certainly don't want a tail or green skin.

- Can you keep my body? I want to be a human being among the various races.

- Good. I wish you a happy journey," the goddess smiled warmly.

- Will we meet again? - exclaimed one last time.

- All children return home at the end of the journey," was the last thing I heard, and then a green light enveloped me. It felt like someone was pulling my arms, legs, and head in different directions, and my consciousness began to fade...
