Scene 1: The Mana Challenge

The next day at the Magic Academy, the teacher, Mr. Roland, had a serious expression on his face as he addressed the class.

**Mr. Roland:** (serious) Class, today I want to see who among you has successfully learned mana control to the basic level. This is a basic skill for any aspiring mage.

He looked around the room and asked the question, "How many of you have achieved this?"

Twelve students, including Alex and his classmate Sarah, confidently raised their hands. The rest of the class seemed unsure and kept their hands down.

(Only 12 out of 30 students raised their hands)..!!

**Mr. Roland:** (disappointed) Only twelve? Mana control is fundamental to your growth as mages. It seems we have work to do. Today, we'll take our training outside.

The students gathered in an open field where they were instructed to demonstrate their mana control. Among them, the genius who had awakened with three affinities for magic, including ice, fire, and light, stood out. His control over mana was remarkable.

**Mr. Roland:** (impressed) Excellent, John! Your control of mana is astonishing. Keep up the good work!(john smiles)

As the demonstrations continued, it was finally Alex's turn. He closed his eyes, focused, and began his mana control exercises. To the shock of his teacher and classmates, Alex's mana control was not only flawless but also significantly faster and more precise than anyone else's.

(John was shocked to see that someone was better than him in mana control)

**Mr. Roland:** (astonished) This... this is incredible! Alex, you've truly mastered mana control at a remarkable pace.

Even Mr. Roland, who had once been called a genius in his youth, couldn't help but admire Alex's exceptional talent. After the demonstrations, he decided to report this to the headmaster.

In the headmaster's office, Mr. Roland shared the incredible progress of his students with the 11th-circled powerful magician who was the headmaster of the academy.

**Headmaster:** (interested) That's quite fascinating, Mr. Roland. We must identify the most promising talents among our students. Let's conduct a test to evaluate their skills and potential.

**Mr. Roland:** (nodding) Agreed. I believe it's time to challenge our students. In two weeks, we'll hold a comprehensive mana and magic test. This will determine their qualifications as future magicians.

The headmaster thought for a while and then nodded in agreement.

**Headmaster:** Very well, Mr. Roland. Make the necessary preparations for the test. The challenge should be high to motivate our students.

**Mr. Roland:** (determined) Understood, Headmaster. The top student in mana control will be awarded a Golden Magic Ring, a symbol of magic from our academy. Those who fail to meet the standards will face a suspension of five weeks.

As the decision was made, Alex returned home to share the news with his family. His father, a magician himself, decided to take things a step further and hired a famous 9th-circled magician as Alex's private tutor.

Meanwhile, Alex received a notification from the system.
