51 - Elemental Theory.

Elemental Theory.

In a vast expanse of nothingness, where the concept of end and beginning blurred, shimmering lights of elemental hues sprang from the void. Each light pulsed with a distinct shade, symbolizing the primal elements that wove the universe. Like dancing stars, they moved and intertwined in a cosmic dance, forming patterns that, though seemingly random, bore an underlying harmony. It was a tapestry of light and motion, a testament to the beauty born from simplicity and the interconnectedness of all things.

"Jon... Jon..."

Elara's gentle voice echoed, pulling Jon back to reality. He slowly opened his eyes, realizing he had delved deep into his meditation once again. It wasn't the first time he found himself in this transcendental state, but with the aid of the technique book he had acquired, the experience had become even more vivid. In the magic room, he felt more connected than ever to the "magical universe" - a term he coined to describe this ethereal space. Now, he didn't just observe but felt a delicate connection with each element dancing before his closed eyes.

"Yes?" He replied, slowly opening his eyes.

"Our allotted time has run out," came the soft voice.

'Just like last time, I completely lost track of time and space,' Jon thought. He had tried multiple times to reach that deep meditative state, knowing his magical enhancement ability intensified within it. However, replicating this experience at will still eluded him.

"I apologize. I always lose track of time when I'm like this." Jon said, accessing his status window.

'I gained a level in Beginner Magic and two in Elemental Magic. I need to figure out how to enter this meditative state more often,' Jon reflected. His progress was notably faster when he managed to immerse himself in that intense focus.

Elara, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, asked, "How about dinner in the dining hall? Or we could grab something and eat in my room, making the most of our weekend?" She was clearly trying to spend more time with Jon. Although she felt something for him, Elara was still unsure about the nature of her feelings and wanted to delve deeper.

Hearing the suggestion of "eating in my room," Jon blushed, recalling intimate moments they had shared before. Trying to contain his teenage excitement, he replied, "I think your room sounds like a better option."

Elara, with a sly smile, said, "Thought you might say that. Grab something for us to eat, and I'll meet you there." Even with her confident demeanor, Elara still felt a tad shy in moments like these.

She quickly leaned in and gave Jon a soft kiss, whispering, "See you later." She then vanished down the hallway, leaving Jon slightly dazed and aware of the nearby girls' stares and whispers.

In the softness of the evening, Jon and Elara sat in her room, savoring some light snacks. The ambiance was cozy, with gentle lighting casting an intimate atmosphere over the space.

"Jon, tell me more about Riverwood. What was it like?" Elara asked, her curiosity piqued.

Jon smiled, reminiscing about his hometown. "Riverwood is a magical place. There's a stunning forest with a meandering stream that flows into a crystal-clear lake. I used to go there with Gwen. It was our sanctuary, a place where we could unwind and forget about the world."

"Oh, and the open-air market!" Jon continued, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "Small stalls lined up, selling everything from fresh fruits to magical artifacts. It was a vibrant spot, bursting with life and colors."

Elara watched Jon as he spoke, noting the passion in his voice. He seemed to have countless tales about Riverwood, and each detail was shared with such fondness that Elara could almost picture the place in her mind.

"It sounds like paradise," Elara murmured, a shadow of sadness crossing her face.

Jon nodded, "It truly is a paradise." In his mind, he contrasted his solitary life on Earth with the rich and fulfilling life he had in Riverwood, surrounded by family and friends.

Sensing Elara's change in mood, Jon gently asked, "What about you, Elara? Tell me about your life."

She sighed, "I'm from Valdoria, where influential families aspire to live to boost their influence and power. When you're young and have everything you wish for, it's wonderful. Everyone praises you, calls you beautiful, and acts as if being by your side is a privilege. But as I grew up, I saw the insincerity behind those gestures. Many wanted to be close to me just to forge family ties or parade me around as a trophy."

She paused, looking down, "I never truly lived. I was always under control, surrounded by guards and restrictions. I don't blame my parents; they love me dearly. But compared to everything you described, my life seems so bland."

Elara then moved closer to Jon, her eyes meeting his. "If I stay by your side, do you think you could show me all of that one day? Hunting, exploring forests, swimming in streams, and living out real adventures?"

Before Jon could reply, Elara sealed their conversation with a passionate kiss, seeking in the depth of that gesture the promise of a life filled with genuine adventures and emotions.

Hey guys, how's it going? I'll be reducing the updates since my job and my YouTube channel are taking up a lot of my time.
