Chapter 49 - Bonus! Bonus!

As the team of four were frozen while in mines, when they logged in, they appeared at same point. The game was literally frozen which meant players, NPCs, even monsters had not felt time lapse. Or else, the monsters would have already respawn and bashed them into pulp. Still...the rhythm was broken, thus Saachi had some difficulty in adjustments, unlike the other three. This showed clearly that he still had a long way to go. Thankfully, he was not planning on making money by monster hunting, else he would have felt despair. As soon as monsters died, everyone found the repartition effect - the loot, the EXP gain all had increased. Royo even noticed a timer in his battle log. " The bonus is limited guys! It will be effective only for 1 he and we have already wasted so many minutes. Bree, we should kill some mini bosses or elites to get benefitted from this."

Old peppers are always more spicy. Old wine is more intoxicating. Anyone would be happy with the bonus effect. This man wanted to get more. What's more, Bree agreed. So party got divided again. Try to kill, in not possible, kite it to nearby team member, even if that's not possible, just run.

If Royo wanted to gain a bit extra, Bree went even further, she wanted to loot. Anyway, they knew pattern of attacks and the skills of monsters inside the mine, so plan was feasible. At the end of timer, they would meet up again to discuss next step.

Saachi killed the least, even less than Royo-Bree team, but...he got highest gains too. He managed to mine higher tier ores and the bonus multiplier effect was exaggerated with the time limit. In fact, when other three were fighting the supervisor, he had snuck in and started mining again and the bonus for that....mind blowing.

There was side effect of playing so dangerously too. The aggro of monsters meant they could not rest even after timer went off and the gains turned normal. They could not mine for nearly 2 hours. Then, back to normal, mine and kill. Then they stopped even that.

Now was interesting and enticing part, sharing of loot. Thanks to early preparation (borrowing of huge inventory space), Saachi did not have to ask for Royo or others to carry his portions.

The advice given by Bree was the best though, it was worth a lot more because it helped Saachi in entirely different way. She said, " Sleep! Sleep in bed. Doesn't matter if it's for 1 or 2 hours. You need it more than spending time in the game."

" But....I'm playing while I am asleep."

Bree shook her head. " From the time you spend here, I can guess you are using gaming pod. That is more comfortable than others, I agree. That doesn't negate body's need to rest and relax. From the way, you are running around, I can even guess that you need more money, and your basic maneuvers show that you have practically no experience in gaming. Your body needs to adjust to the new requirements, so a buffer time is needed. Sleep, eat healthy and exercise, move your muscles more. The effect will be seen within the game too."

Bree was teaching based on what she and others had experienced before. This sort of advice....worth only when the recipient feels it is worthy. Saachi felt it is worthy. Team Bree wins the preaching contest.

As they were traveling back to village, Saachi started talking more and more with Bree. Lots of issues were covered, few details were unintentionally disclosed. Saachi promised to provide her with loads of coins, even become honorary member of the guild they might build later. She laughed at that. It may not be a guild at all in the end. She might create a mercenary team.

Saachi smiled and shamelessly boasted that he would provide logistics and supply.

The market place was again feeling full. The players had gathered not much to buy and sell but to swap gossips. It should be noted that though the capping of players within a standard novice village was around 1000, it was not a necessity to have 1000 players from the beginning. The current player strength was just around 670. And not all of 670 members would log in and play at same time. So it was normal if around 200-300 players were playing at the same time. Among them, few would be rushing into maps, few roaming around for quests. A few would be trying for auxiliary classes. Thus the market would not have many people unless it was late evenings, bringing back majority of normal players inside the village. The night market was the busiest time. But today, it was even more busy. Players had logged in just to check and verify the updates and share gossips.

The normal gossips like hidden battles between groups, the face off between some players, the revenge for PK, basically all normal gossips did not even enter the mouths of this gossip mongers.

No, this time, they had big juicy stories. Glorious Galahad was first to find the dungeons. His people, from Glory forever were trying them now. They had not yet succeeded. Immortal sword sect had killed a field boss of level 6. They got huge bonus because it was done with the timer limits.
