Renewed Script

Upon waking up, Lin Qing discovered that Su Haoyu was still asleep.

She first checked her phone after seeing few messages and a call from her brother's assistant, Tang Chenghuan, she quickly dressed in yesterday's suit, gathered her belongings, left a note for Su Haoyu, and departed.

She first went to the Lin estate, where she found that all of her family members had already left for work, so no one was there to criticize her for not returning home the previous day.

After arranging a meeting Assistant Tang in the afternoon, she spent the morning at the office.

Meanwhile, Su Haoyu woke up with a headache and found that Lin Qing was gone. He felt relieved as he wasn't prepared to face her yet.

Assistant Tang informed Lin Qing that there was a conflict between a newly assigned author and senior screenwriter.

Lin Qing had discovered a few authors for creative stories last week and she bought some of the novel rights and IPs from them as she saw a potential in these stories for great TV series and movies.

So the conflict was that the new author refused to change her original story despite pressure from the senior screenwriter to alter the male lead's character.

At a meeting with the author, - Ashes To Phoenix- Lin Qing learned that the senior screenwriter had turned the story she personally selected into a cliché story for no apparent reason.

In the meeting room Lin Qing stood up and angrily threw the newly edited script across the room. She spat out, "Do you call this a script?" Her voice was filled with frustration.

The senior screenwriter Mr. Xia remained calm and collected, but his eyes fixed on Lin Qing with a hint of suspicion.

He internally cursed, thinking to himself, 'This bitch, you're just a kept woman,how can you know how to write a script and mess with my work?'

However, he didn't dare to fight her head-on as he had heard that she had some backing.

Who knows who is her backing is?

So he talked to her with a forced respect "Miss Lin, you're new in the industry," the senior screenwriter said in a low and measured voice.

"We of course know what we are doing and what the audience wants. The audience wants to see Steve Xue, how many will drop the show if he dies in the middle of the series?

We planned to change it according to the benefits to the company. "

Lin Qing understood his meaning: "You don't know how things work."

Steve Xue was a popular actor, and his manager probably influenced the script by buying off their senior screenwriter.

'So this is how is it?'

'There are countless of buried dramas just like this with some popular star , who'll remember them after a couple of years?'

'It makes sense that these rotting people ruined the company my family worked so hard for, I will not allow them' Lin Qing thought .

She then declared domineeringly, "So you're saying he can't work on this drama without changing our script?

When did Blossom Media become a place to cater feelings for artistès who doesn't even work for Blossom Media?"

"How are you so sure that this rechanged script will have more raitings than other series or the product will be sold not just domestically but internationally?

Will Steve Xue pay for the damages if it isn't a success or will you?"

She looked at the pale faces of directors and other screen writers and contuined;

"If he can't do it what we should change is him, not the script."

The Mr Xia spat blood , the other assistant writers and directors were silent.

They didn't expect this new Creative Director to support a small nameless writer they found on the internet instead of a senior screenwriter or the famous actor.

While Lin Qing was chatting with the art director and assistant screenwriters , Assistant Tang arrived.

The director and Mr Xia (senior screen writer) knew who Assistant Tang is.

He was the assistant of the future president of Blossom Media, Lin Quang.

Assistant Tang respectfully nodded towards Lin Qing and she waved her hand to him.

Some of the watchers were shocked to see this scene.

"Who is this new Creative Director?"

She informed Assistant Tang beforehand when they met in afternoon and showed him the contract they signed with director and screenwriter.

It could be summed up as " If they can't film the script according to the original book then they have to pay a heafty sum of penalty fee ."

Lin Qing thought ;

"If they afford it then they should write and produce one themselves.

They are using my family's money and acting like they're the big boss behind the screen.

How dare they to mess with my work?

I won't let them off the hook!"

She decided to watch this production systematically so they won't screw things up again.

Now that their male lead breached the contract, Lin Qing didn't want to use him for this project.

She has to find another actor who is almost equal or better than him....

Only one she can think of is Su Huan, he is a bright actor, he became a Film Emperor at age 20 , he has countless successful dramas and movies , he has vast majority of fans from age 7-70.

He became successful from being a child star when he was a 3 year old.

He is the best candidate.

But how to cast her future Brother in Law in this drama?

Should she blackmail him?
