Bad Day

Even though she had taken a bath, she still felt tired. Today wasn't her day; she thought her skin wasn't good enough, her hair was too difficult to manage, and she didn't have any nice clothes that would make her feel better.

She felt that her breasts were sore and she had a big appetite. During breakfast, her mother noticed the change in her daughter.

"Have you stopped your diet?"

Looking at the croissant in her hand and not remembering how many of them she had eaten, Lin Qing felt even worse.

She dropped the half eaten croissant in her hand on the table, wiped her face and hurriedly departed from the rhouse. Today, she didn't feel like her usual self.

She decided to buy herself a coffee on the road and stucked in traffic on top of it.

When she arrived at company she was late.

For some reason she felt like today was a really unlucky day.

As she walked past some of the coworkers in the office, she failed to noticed the ugly expressions on a few of their faces.

There was a rumour going around in the marketing department, there was haughty young woman who entered the backdoor because she was the mistress of an upperachelon of company.

Mondays were weekly meeting day for all inner departments so Lin Qing arranged her notes and files in the flashback.

Because she had some glimpses of knowledge about future, she knew , around these couple weeks, their company was working very hard to pocket a seemingly successful anchor from another channel.

Noone knew that this anchor will be revealed as a domestic abuser after his wife found dead in 2 years with a police reports of his abuse history.

Then they will even boycott the channel he was working which belonged to Lin family.

Lin Qing decided to pick from other candidates for achor position and tried to reason with the other managers and directors for this matter but she was over-voted.

When she was about to enter the break room Lin Qing heard a whispering sounds when she got close she realized they were talking about her.

"That bitch came office late but noone bat an eye"

" This is so unfair , just because she is a mistress, they treat her well, but we're getting overworked"

"I'll tear that vixens face off"

This was the last dropped, she felt like she has to beat people today.

Although the Lin family was extremely affluent in the city, they preferred to maintain a low profile. They did not have numerous photographs circulating on the internet or in magazines, and they avoided providing socialite gossip about themselves, resulting in many individuals being unaware of how Lin Qing and Lin Quang looked like. This was also true within the company, as only a select few were aware of Lin Qing's true identity.

This was primarily a safety measure; if everyone knew and she did not bring bodyguards, what if some rivals caused her harm?

It was better to be discreet than to be a celebrity, so Lin Qing did not disclose her background to many people either. However, there were a few individuals who were dissatisfied with Lin Qing and rumours would bound to happen when Manager Xiao was treating her with upmost respect.

She tried to reason with herself " Don't get angry , don't get angry..."

These women were her subordinate, it was her job to manage the peace in this work place even the target of these rumours weren't herself, it was her job to deal with it.

She entered the break-room loudly.

"I am seeing you guys making yourself really comfortable?"

The two girls face ashen instantly when they saw who entered.

Lin Qing's voice distorted " You guys were chatting merrily, Why you guys suddenly stopped now?"

The older one had more thick skin " Just because you got some backing, you can't bully subordinates?"

Lin Qing started laughing from anger " Bullying? Where did you see me bully anyone?

Now that you're caught red handed , you can't find a proper excuse to reason with me?"

While laughing Lin Qing was boiling in anger " How dare they !" She thought.

But now that she had subordinate superior relationship with them , firing them would be too drastic and give her a bad reputation.

She didn't want to disclose her identity just to create herself a fake bubble.

"If I notice the two of you contuine to disturb the peace in this work environment, I will take the most drastic measurement. Now I am giving you a warning. Don't forget it."

She didn't want to contuine to stay there so with a bang she close the door of the break-room and went back to her office.

She buried herself in work so that she won't over-think things that make her angry.
