Asking Out

On Monday, Lin Qing focused on managing the latest marketing strategies.

She had not communicated with Su Haoyu for almost a week.

The system became impatient and finally questioned her, "Host, weren't you the outgoing one in this relationship? Why are you being shy now?"

Lin Qing felt uncertain. She wasn't sure if it was her ego or insecurities that were causing her to distance herself from Su Haoyu.

System was right she was weirdly shying away and she wasn't much of a shy person , actually she was more of the shameless kind.

Ofcourse it didn't make sense for someone who look at things objectively, someone like System.

The thing was lately she realized somethings, she wasn't just using Su Haoyu or fullfiling some heavenly responsibilities, she also had feelings for him.

Even if these feelings weren't heaven defying jumping in a fire pit for him kind, it was a seedling.

And in one side she felt happy that she also liked him , cause noone wants to spend the rest of their lives with someone they don't like.

But on other side , she wasn't sure how to handle these feelings , she haven't been in a relationship in 10 years, for 10 years she was an audience, only thing she did was watching andddd.... most of the time what she was watching was the toxic relationship the girl who stole her body was in.

And in this pairing , she she didn't have the upperhand as she thought she has.

She was really afraid, afraid of failing and afraid of being the reason of the world's collapsing , afraid of ruining everything.

Afraid that author was right and she was a "villainess" who is doomed.

And she was also afraid one day Su Haoyu will learn that she aproached him with ulterior motives and he wouldn't like her anymore.

She thought to herself " If I keep thinking I might explode " so she decided to keep busy to avoid overthinking for the last couple of days.

Lin Qing put on an act while answering the System's questions, "Isn't it said that missing is part of the romance? If I constantly contact him, won't he get tired of me?"

The system was skeptical. "Host, y'know that the romance levels are quite low, also Isn't there a saying 'out of sight, out of mind' you can't stay away for too long" it warned her.

Lin Qing's mind was filled with thoughts.

"Fuck it, I am not the kind of person who'll just take things slow , just cannonball it Lin Qing,well , what's the worst thing? Isn't it just world being collapsed , not a big deal, not a biggie " she pep-talked herself.

Then she took her phone and just gave him a call without thinking, cause if she tries to text she might start overthinking again.

It rang 5 times till someone opened.

She talked first " Hey~~

Uhm , is it a convenient time for you?"

A low and deep sound resonated from the speaker.

Su Haoyu checked the name of the caller first.

" Hel-lo" there was a yawning in the middle "Ye-es, yes it is alright "

And there was a thump and a falling sound after he finished his sentence.

Su Haoyu stopped himself from cursing, he just woke up at 6 p.m and fall from his bed. "This had to happen when I am talking to her!" He was inwardly cursing himself.

"Do you have a free time tonight?"

Lin Qing took the initiative and asked.

"Yes" Su Haoyu instantly answered and then he contuined " I mean , I am not busy lately so I can free up some time. "

Lin Qing's eyes lit up, " Oh , let's have dinner together then, I'll text you the location."

"Huh?"

Lin Qing didn't give Su Haoyu time to speak so he ended up saying " Okay"

Then he stared at his phone and stand up.

It's already 6 p.m and he hasn't fully woken up yet.

He flashed to the bathroom to get ready.

Lin Qing called him for dinner but she actually didn't make any reservations.

She realized this after hunging up.

"Am I becoming stupid lately?" She questioned herself.

"System~~~~~" she summoned .

"Ughhh , disgusting, don't be coquettish with me!" System responded.

Lin Qing pursed her lips "Don't you need me to create romance points" she bargained with System.

"Where do you want to go?" System asked.

"Peak!" Lin Qing answered.

"Peak," situated on the highest floor and rooftop of Xxx tower, was a well-known destination in S city. However, its popularity came with a requirement - reservations had to be made a minimum of three months in advance. Surprisingly, despite its popularity, "Peak" was never overcrowded due to these stringent reservation rules. This multi-faceted establishment encompassed a variety of offerings, including a dimly lit restaurant on one side, an over-the-counter sushi bar, and a rooftop bar at the top. And its elevator would transport guests directly to the highest floor without stopping at any other floors, providing a smooth and exclusive experience for its patrons. As a result, "Peak" was less crowded than other areas of the Xxx Tower.

Lin Qing widened her eyes and waited like a puppy waiting for snacks.

"Done, 8.30 p.m reservation, 2 adult"

System said.

" You're really amazing system, I don't know what would I do without you~~~~"

Lin Qing said to system.

"Hmph , it is such an easy task , I can do it my eyes closed." System responded but it had a pride in its mildly mechanic voice.

Lin Qing hurriedly texted the adress and reservation details to Su Haoyu.

And then she looked at herself on the computer's reflection.

She didn't appear unattractive by any means, but if she went out with Su Haoyu dressed in a suit and blazer, he might think she had asked him out for a business meal.

If she asks her mother to sent her clothes to office,she wouldn't stop nagging until she is late for the date.

She didn't want to wear an unwashed dress, so she ruled out buying something new.

She couldn't get anything from her condo as she had given her keys to Qian An. She decided to messaged Qian An:

[Are you at the condo?]

Qian An texted back 5 mins later.

[Not yet, I just finished filming a commercial. Why do you ask?]

Lin Qing texted back.

[Can you get me the red bandage Hervè L. Leroux dress and matching bag &shoes within an hour?]

[What kind of ridiculous request is this?

I'm not your errand boy and also don't you know there is a traffic in this hour,what are you thinking?]

Lin Qing texted her

[I'll pay you 3 times more than what they're paying you for the commercial]

Qian An's eyes lit up at the mention of money.

She typed within lighting spead, she was a person who would text word by word or sentence by sentence so Lin Qing's phone kept buzzing;

[The dress, shoes and bag right?
