A Snake

Upon entering the mansion, Lin Qing faced her overly protective brother's probing gaze.

He was standing there with his arms crossed ,"Why did he drive you back?" he inquired.

Knowing her brother's nature well, Lin Qing decided to simply reply, "He thinks it is dangerous for me to drive at night."

Her brother remained unconvinced. "As if! He's acting like he could save you if something happens. With his scrawny figure, how can he protect you? He might even push you into danger and run away!"

Lin Qing found her brother's overactive imagination amusing. But she had to give Su Haoyu a credit, "He's being kind. Also do you really think I need protection?"

Lin Qing looked at Lin Quang with a confident gaze.

But her brother grew angry with the confident way she spoke.

"Of course you need protection! Just because you know a few self-defense moves doesn't mean you're an Olympic contestant. Why do you overestimating yourself, you are a girl, girls should be protected.

It is also good to know to protect your but it's better for you to avoid situations where you need to act."

With that, her brother started into a 10-minute lecture on self-protection, emphasizing her fragility and the need to be cautious.

She knew he meant well. While she used to dismiss his lectures, she now cherished his nagging since she had returned to the past.

"Well, what's wrong with girls being fragile?" she thought to herself. She used to think being called a fragile girl was an insult towards her, well there were some people who would look down on women by using words like " girls are flowers, women are fragile" her family were just worrying about her.

In past she had misunderstood her brother.

Maybe because she always felt inferior comparing herself with her elder brother so due to this subconscious belief , she thought he looked down on her.

She had even avoided working in the company in the past, not wanting others to perceive her working in company rivalry for family assets.

However, after that girl possessed her body, she realized her family, including her father and brother, had been supportive of her in any way. In the end they gave almost all of the company's assets to her. Now, in this life, she aimed to repay their kindness.

Yet, there were issues within the companies of the Lin family, particularly concerning the finance department and Iontech Corporation. As she wasn't adept at finance and numbers, she pondered on how to subtly hint at these issues to her brother and father.

Lin Qing decided to seek information from the system.

From og plot she knew Iontech company was strongly linked to the " big bad villain" and "heroic male lead" of the original story.

It was a changed name of the Liu corporation which belonged to the grandfather of male lead.

In the past, it was not very socially acceptable for families to have daughter successors so if a wealthy family had only a daughter they would either force the family to have more kids or divorce or adopt a kid from a side branch.

Therefore, the male lead's grandparents adopted a 10-year-old boy from a side branch to make him heir for the company and decided to leave his other assets to his daughter instead.

However, this boy did not show gratitude for their kindness. Instead, he plotted against his adoptive family.

He found a man to make the male lead's mother fall in love. When the male lead's mother became pregnant this man ran away and, not knowing how to explain the situation to her family, male lead's mother ran away from her parent's house and decided to raise her son on her own.

This was not what the adopted son had planned, but it also worked in his favor as he became the sole heir of the Liu family when she left.

The male lead's mother worked in several jobs to raise her son but when he was in highschool she fell ill and died.

Money was something this male lead despised but also what he needed the most so he hated the rich but became rich after working hard.

Ofcourse he thought he was working hard but in reality his grandfather found the mother&son due and wanted to make amends with them.

Plot always overlooks this kind of nepotism.

These plots like the original story always emphasizes the hardworking characters but never show the importance of connections.

Will you get scholarships from big companies just because you score full points in your math exams?

Obviously no..

Ofcourse hardworking people becomes successful if they keep working but at most a hardworking person can become a manager after he becomes 35 with a balding hair and a stress disorder while people with connections will be the CEO or president of innovative companies in their early 20s and it willl be advertised as success stories.

Liu Jun was also an example like many others.

He came to Liu family to avenge his mother and defeat the villain and become a hero who was fair and just.

He used his wealth to take revenge on people who "wronged" him in past.

And right now he was messing with the accounts of the Iontech company by using his several spies in different companies.

Lin Qing knew all of the spies in the company but some of them were working in the company for 10 years so she can't openly accuse these people without concrete evidence.

Recently she was doubtful about System's intentions towards her but right now System was the only one can help her and her family.

"Can you hack into these accounts?"

Lin Qing asked the System.

System snorted;

"Hmphh, who do you think I am ?

I am the most capable intelligent system in this world , this is a piece of cake for me, I can even launch two different n-bombs between two countries without leaving a track!"

Lin Qing was a bit surprised, this system was really recourseful " But will my brother think it is a sham? These people worked in the company for years without doing anything alerting, what if he thinks it is a fake information?"

"Then there is nothing we can do about it host" System responded.

"Isn't it more effective to create a larger mess than leaving subtle clues?

Let's do this instead of gathering information through hacking and leaving bread crumbs for my brother to find, god knows when he will take an action, let's just expose the tracks of the executives from both companies completely, even if there is nothing to expose , we can create new ones even if it results in a loss of hundreds of millions. It's better than letting them continue in their positions."

System was surprised after hearing Lin Qing's plan;

"Host never fails to impress me. "

Then System thought to itself, ' I knew I had good eye for this.

Her thought process is so different, rather than saying she is smart it's more like she has cunningness of a snake,a snake that's vigilant and ruthless in its hunt.'
