89 Into the Abyss

Rena made her way up the deep hole, excited to bring news of her discoveries to Joshua and Lucy. They had worked so hard to save her life and risked so much that she wanted to repay them as much as she could.

As she surfaced, she noticed Lucy's house and flew down to go inside of it. As she reached for the door, Joshua opened it and walked outside.

"Welcome back Rena." He said. "What did you find down there? Is it a dungeon?"

"I believe that it is yes!" Rena replied. "I hope that I did not keep you too long."

"You were perfect." Joshua said with a smile. "Couldn't have timed it better myself. So do you think you could carry me down there and back up again?"

"Of course!" Rena replied happily. "But what about Lucy? Isn't she coming as well?"

"Oh, she definitely did that." Joshua said laughing. "But no, she is not accompanying us down there. She needs time to… recover."
