Chapter 1: A man appears on the horizon

'''I was scared ... and still scared.'''

His eyes open, can barely see and hear those around him, namely the paramedics who are resuscitating him.

"I need Help here!" The paramedic said loudly

As he is being carried out of the shipwreck, amidst the commotion people are gossiping about the scene.

"Where the hell he appeared from?!"

His eyes open again, he is in the ambulance whose siren is heard.

"Hey ... Can you hear me? ... Sir?!" The paramedic said while pointing a flashlight towards his eyes before they close.

He is dragged on a wheeled bed in a hospital.

"What about the other two?" male doctor said.

"Their condition is stable ... but this one is mortally wounded!" female doctor said.

*THUMP .. *CHARGE .. *THUMP

As the Thumps of cardiac resuscitation device on the body are heard out.

"Come on" male voice said.

"AGAAAAIN" female voice said firmly.

Then suddenly everyone starts to look in surprise after it appeared on the screen that his heartbeat began to stabilize.

"Wait ... look!" doctor 1 said.

"This is ..." doctor 2 said.

"is he abnormal?" nurse said.

He finally wakes up as his eyes open, he finds himself on a bed, he leans against the bed to sit while he looks at the doctor and nurse those standing in front of him.

"As you can see, no injuries at all... as soon as we resuscitated his heart, he immediately began to recover without any intervention from us!" the nurse said.

"Unbelievable, I wish I could have seen that by myself" the doctor said in amazement.

"What happened?! did i save the world?" the man on bed said in wonder.

"What?" nurse said.

"Haha looks like our guy was dreaming of playing the hero." doctor said.

"Where am I?" man on bed asked after he putted his feet onto the floor sitting on the bed.

"You're in a hospital, you have an amazing healing ability, they're saying that you recovered in less than an hour, that's something we don't see every day." doctor said.

"Despite that, it took you 3 days to wake up" nurse said.

A man with coat enters the room and say: "you're finally awake."

The man with coat gets near him and asked: "Hey buddy, what's your name?"

"Huh?" man on bed said dully.

"Where you came from?"

"I... I can't remember anything!"

"humm... ok, come on get up, you're coming with me."

"Hold on, that's not allowed, there must be..." doctor said as the man with coat interrupted him.

"Some investigations have to be done, and since he's fine now, I see no reason for him to stay here"

The man in the coat takes out of his pocket some sort of card.

"I found this in your pants pocket... looks like your name is... Samadouni, Adam al-Samadouni."

Adam stands up looking at the man in wonder, he closed his eyes to think for a moment, then the place changes, he opens his eyes with serious look on his face.

Adam is shown wearing clothing according to his status, with a coat bearing the logo of the P.K.F, he stands in the middle of the cockpit of the ship in which they fly over the city in daylight with cloudy sky.

"Captain Samadouni, It has been 8 mins since we received the report, I have to remind you that the train G04 is transporting an atomic electronics and devices, when those falls in the wrong hands, it could cause a disaster, we're having troubles of this kind all the time, but we still have to do our best, you have to stop those thieves from taking them." a voice of a man in the radio of the cockpit said.

"Are we there yet?" Adam asked.

"Almost sir, there, we can see the train" one of the crew said.

"There they are." Adam said

The criminals are shown up while they're taking the devices

"Come on, hurry up, you nitwits! we have to get out of here as fast as we can." criminals' boss said.

"We're almost done unloading this car, boss." one of the six men said.

"Oh yes, we will have a good price for these." boss said

Adam shown up turns around towards his soldiers and say: "Get ready"

The ship approaches the train, and they see the criminals' ship flying close to the train, two cars away from the trailer, and they already broke into one of the cars and taking the devices to their ship.

"Hey, boss... we got company." a criminal said

The boss and his men, they all see the ship of the P.K.F.

A side door of Adam's ship opens, and a folding ladder descends.

Adam's five soldiers land on the train one by one

"Shit." boss said bothered

"What do we do" one of the men said

"We're not leaving until we empty the car, Leo, Dwight, Serena, let's buy some time." boss said

"Keep a safe distance and watch their ship carefully" Adam said to two crew who driving the ship, and then he follows his soldiers

"Advance" Adam ordered them after landing on the train, then they go towards the criminals by crossing over several cars carrying their weapons, while Adam's ship follows the train which moving in between buildings from a safe distance.

While rest of the boss' men continue taking the spoils, the boss takes the three he called them to advance towards Adam's squad as well, until only one car separates them and facing each other.

"You never learn, do you?" Adam said

"You're taking this fake job serios, more than you should!" boss said.

"I'm a lost man." (sarcastically)

"Foolish excuse, we're all lost in here."

"Maybe you're right."

Criminals start shooting, hitting two of Adam's men, one of them falls from the train, and the other holds on to the roof with the help of his comrade while shouting the name of his fallen comrade: "James!", and then they all start exchanging fire.

Adam's men activate bulletproof hologram shields.

Serena which is one of the criminals throws a bomb on the car that separates them from the P.K.F, causing fire and smoke, therefore visibility became difficult.

Adam notices that the metal of the car on which the explosion occurred is corroding.

Criminals stopped shooting and pull back a little.

"We have to cross over" one of Adam's men said.

Adam throws a foam bomb to extinguish the fire and curb the iron-corroding substance from the roof which causes a lot of smoke, then he says: "Follow me." while he jumps over the corroded car, he removes a metal plate from the roof of the car.

Criminals hear the noise but can't see the P.K.F.

"We should get back to the ship, I think we took enough ..." Leo didn't finish his sentence as he interrupted by a thrown plate hits Dwight, therefore Dwight nearly fell off the train.

Adam jumped out of the smoke and the same car the criminals were standing on, and his men came behind him, each group on each edge of the car, then the corroded car break into two due to the substance, and the cars behind are separated from the rest of the train.

"Leo" boss shouted, then he, Dwight and Serena back off to their ship, while Leo stands facing the P.K.F alone, his body began to show changes.

"A one with a power!" Adam said.

Leo's body became in dark color and releases steam, his limbs taller, His clothes are barely torn, his chest radiates and flaming veins branch out throughout his body and limbs, and his eyes appear radiant orange.

Adam's men start shooting him, but he is not affected, Leo extends his arms a lot and begins trying to hit Adam and his men. He hits several blows and causes damage to the roof of the car because of the force of his blows, and they barely avoid them, then he manages to hold one of them tightly and because of the intense heat of his arms, He melts the victim's suit while he screams in pain, then squeezes the victim and burn him to death, Finally, he throws the dead man away.

"Son of a bitch!" Adam said in anger

Adam's ship gets close and shoot Leo, while he takes advantage of Leo's preoccupation, he goes towards him and punches him hard, he nearly made Leo fall of the train, but Leo holds onto the train with his long arms after Adam had passed him going towards the boss.

"How much is left?" boss said nervously

"We only took a third of the amount we needed" one of the men

"Enough, let's leave, they will definitely ask for back up after we showed them the power of.... LEO!!!" boss said and shouted the name of Leo after he saw him about to lose the fight, then he sees Adam coming towards him crossing the cars.

"Hay Daniel, keep a close distance to their ship." Adam said in his wireless device to the ship driver, while three criminals are getting into their ship.

Leo loses the fight after he take a strong electric shock from the Adam's men and fall in the street on a car and some people around are in surprise.

"Argh take him down" boss said in anger.

They shoot him, but Adam is safe as he has the hologram shield, Adam takes his gun out while running towards them, he shoots a man on the enemy's ship carrying a rifle and took him down falling into the street.

Adam's ship gets near to the criminals' ship, while the boss on the train with only two of his men.

"Leave!" boss said and waved to his men on the ship.

"After them" Adam said to Daniel in his wireless.

Then the enemy's ship left the place, and the P.K.F ship is chasing them, while there

"Surrender, your powerful man is down, and your ship is not going so far." Adam said to the boss, while two of his men come over behind him, the third one is injured in the back cars.

"This is not the first time you have caused me trouble, Samadouni!" boss said.

"Yeah, I remember that face." Adam said.

"You didn't serve in the P.K.F for long, right? You only appeared a few months ago as a combat soldier, and you play your role very seriously, which infuriates me, did they told you that this would bring peace to the city?" boss said in denial.

"This won't work on me, man, criminals are criminals by their actions, it's just that simple." Adam said

"No, it's not that simple, you don't really know what's going on!" boss said.

Adam didn't reply and he looks confused.

"This city lasted for last two centuries, but that doesn't mean it would last forever, you need to wake up, fool, we're in the middle of nowhere, here there is nothing but nothingness!" boss said irritably

"What hell are you talking about?" Adam said in confusion

Then suddenly they all notice that the train is heading towards a skyscraper connected by railways from different floors and directions.

"Captain, we're heading into the tunnel that leads to the top of that building."

"Shit" Adam said.

"I wish we could talk more, Adam, but it's time to go." boss said while he stands on the edge of the next car carrying explosives.

The boss throws the explosives into the place separating the two carriages, and while Adam is running towards them to catch up with them, the explosives explode and separate the two cars from each other, preventing Adam from crossing.

The train cars behind the explosion gradually slow down and suddenly the car collides with prominent iron lines on both sides of the track, which would have stabilized the train during Climbing the building, but due to the deformation of the car as a result of the explosion, it caused a shock and the car stopped at a rapid pace, causing the two men standing behind Adam to fall, and Adam barely maintained his balance.

Adam looks angerly at the boss and his two men, Adam angrily looks at the leader and the two men with him standing on the train, entering the tunnel and disappearing in its shadows.

"Daniel, they're escaping to the top of the railway head building." Adam talks in the wireless but no responding, Adam repeat: "Daniel, are you still chasing their ship?"

"They managed ... to overthrow us, we ... we lost them, I'm sorry," Daniel said in pained voice.

Adam gets annoyed and slowly puts the radio in his pocket.

"Should we call for back up?" one of Adam's men said

"No need, they escaped already." Adam said before he jumps off the train car to leave.

Adam is thinking, while there was a look on his face full of distress and confusion.
