Nurse’s Office

"Momo? I'm sorry for being so rash during the training. I'm not too used to working with a partner. I completely forgot about needing to work together and just did what I would usually do alone. I'm very sorry." Rey bowed down at the girl who was standing at the corner of the room.

"Ah? What are you doing, Rey?" Momo gasped.

"I acted all by myself, and I didn't even consult my plan with you. We were supposed to work together. It was my mistake." Rey told her.

Momo started to laugh. "Why are you apologizing? In the end, we won, didn't we? In fact, I should be the one apologizing for not doing anything!"

"You don't need to apologize. It was my fault." Rey objected.

"How about this? Both of us stop apologizing. Next time, we both promise to make up for our mistakes, okay?" Momo suggested.

"Deal."

After the conversation with Momo, I returned to the surveillance room to watch Izuku and Uraraka's performance. Izuku and Bakugo were fighting, and Uraraka had found Tenya and the bomb. There was no audio from the video we were watching, but I could make out the words Bakugo and Izuku were saying by reading their lips. They seemed to have known each other before coming to UA.

Eventually, Izuku and Uraraka was able to win the battle, though it was very close. Izuku had been unable to control his Quirk again, and he hurt himself again. Momo quickly created a stretcher for him and had Izuku lie on it.

"All Might, Izuku needs to go the Nurse's Office right now!" Uraraka shouted.

"Yes, yes. We need to get Young Midoriya to Recovery Girl." All Might made his way over to Izuku.

"I'll take him there." I volunteered.

"Young Rey?" All Might asked.

"Mhm." I tapped at Izuku's wound. All Might immediately understood what I was telling him and allowed me to go.

I knocked on the door of the Nurse's Office. Recovery Girl opened the door almost at once. "What do you need?"

"We're students from class 1-A. Izuku got hurt during our battle training with All Might. Could you heal him?" I quickly told her what happened.

"This boy again? It's already his third time. Just what is All Might thinking, letting a student get so injured in a class? Bring him in." Recovery Girl sighed.

I carried the unconscious Izuku onto a vacant bed, and I stood quietly on the side. Recovery Girl examined his injuries. Another sigh escaping her lips, Recovery Girl used her Quirk and kissed Izuku's wounds. Then, she started to bandage the wounds.

"Principal Nezu told me about your situation." I looked at the hero. "He also told me about your Quirk. Can you tell me what wounds he has?"

I glanced at the sleeping boy. "Two broken arms, possible bruising in the ribs, a light head concussion, some scratches, none deep enough to be considered severe, and overexertion of the body."

"That's right. You have a good eye." Recovery Girl praised.

"You pick it up very quick after experiencing the wounds yourself." I replied.

She nodded and gestured at Izuku's bandaged arms.

"My Quirk can't completely heal him because his body doesn't have enough stamina. But your Quirk is different. Your Quirk puts a burden on your own body instead of the patient's body." She paused for a moment and looked at me.

"To tell you the truth, I was skeptical about letting an assassin attending UA, but after seeing you in person, something tells me that I was wrong to have such doubts. I hope you can develop your Quirk to help more people in the future." Recovery Girl said.

"Of course. A hero's duty is to help the people who cannot help themselves. I will work hard to become such a hero." I said.

"Oh my, I'm started to go off on a tangent again, didn't I. Age does that to people." Recovery Girl laughed. "Rey, can I have you heal his cuts and his ribs right now? It shouldn't be too taxing for you. After Izuku wakes up, I'll let you heal his arms. He should be awake in a couple minutes."

I nodded, taking a seat next to Izuku's bed. I put my hands on Izuku's side and concentrated. A milky, white glow flowed out of my hands. A stinging pain shot through my side, but it was tolerable. Twenty seconds later, I withdrew my hand. The process was finished. Recovery Girl handed me a piece of candy. I unwrapped it from its wrapper and popped it into my mouth. Chocolate. It tastes good. I closed my eyes to savor the taste.

"I suppose your past is also a blessing in disguise. Your tolerance for pain is levels higher than the average person. Ironically, it will be very useful for your Quirk." Recovery Girl commented from the side.

"I guess I should be thankful then?" I laughed.

A knock came from the door. "Oh, a visitor!"

Recovery Girl left us alone. She started talking to the person outside the door in low voices.

The candy had melted in my mouth. I opened my eyes. Izuku was awake. He immediately bolted upwards. "Kacchan!"

"Glad to see you're awake, Deku. Can I call you that, Deku?" I greeted him.

"Oh, Rey! Yes, yes, you can call me Deku." Izuku nodded. "Rey, where am I?"

"I brought you to the Nurse's Office after your battle with Bakugo. Recovery Girl healed some of your wounds already." I informed him.

"Oh, I see. Where's Recovery Girl? I need to thank her." Izuku said, looking around.

"There was someone at the door before you woke up. I think they're talking in her office."

I looked at Deku, and I remembered the words Bakugo said during their battle. "Deku, in your battle with Bakugo, he called you a Quirkless loser. But you have a Quirk, so why does he call you that?"

"Huh? Oh, umm..." Izuku stuttered.

"Oh sorry. I wasn't thinking when I asked the question. If it's too personal, just pretend I didn't ask." I apologized.

"Oh no, it's okay. My Quirk didn't awaken until it was very late, and, as you saw, I still can't control it really well. I ended up not using it, so Bakugo misunderstood and thought I was Quirkless." Deku looked down at his bandaged hands.

"I see... You know, we are very similar. My Quirk didn't awaken until two years ago. I was looked down upon because I didn't have a Quirk. I got called a lot of names, too. But, Deku, it doesn't matter what other people call you, as long as you know who you are, that's the most important thing." I said.

"That's right! I've always wanted to be a hero like All Might, and I never gave up. And look, I'm in UA now!" Deku smiled.

"Speaking of All Might, look at who came to visit." I motioned at the door.

"All Might!" Deku exclaimed.

"Young Midoriya! Are you alright?" All Might shouted, rushing over to the bed.

"I'm alright. All thanks to Recovery Girl!" Deku reassured the hero.

"Don't forget about Rey. He helped out a lot, too." Recovery Girl said from behind.

"Oh! Thank you, Rey! I didn't know you healed me, too." Deku turned to thank me.

"Don't worry about it. I'm glad to lend a hand." I smiled at him.

"Izuku, your dominant hand is your right hand, right?" Recovery Girl questioned. Deku nodded.

"Rey, please heal Izuku's right hand. Izuku can let his left hand heal naturally, as a reminder to not recklessly abuse his body in the future." Recovery Girl ordered sternly.

"Tell me if you feel uncomfortable." I told Deku. Holding his bandaged hand, I got to work. A minute of silence passed, and the light faded away.

I exhaled. "It's done."

Deku flexed his healed hand. "Wow, it's good as new!"

"I'll excuse myself now. I'll wait for you outside, Deku." I brushed past All Might's figure. I snatched another one of Recovery Girl's chocolate candies and made my way to the door.

"Wait, Rey!" All Might called out my name.

"Sensei?" I turned around.

"Thank you for healing Izuku." All Might thanked me.

"Of course."

I closed the door behind me. All Might and Deku...

Rey leaned on the wall across from the Nurse's Office, waiting for Deku. He rolled the piece of candy around in his mouth, seemingly lost in thought. The door to the Nurse's Office creaked open.

"You're still here, Rey!" Deku said.

"I said we would go back to class together right?" Rey replied. "Ready to go?"

Deku nodded.

The two walked through campus. Deku was lost in his thoughts, and Rey didn't bother him. Arriving at the classroom, they stopped in front to the door.

"I'll go in first. Your friends will probably have a lot of questions to ask you. I won't take away your spotlight." Rey joked. Not waiting for an answer, Rey opened the door and slipped inside.

"Rey, where's Deku?" Uraraka asked immediately. Rey gestured behind him. She ran for the door and swung it open. "Deku!"

"Are you okay?"

"You were so cool when you were fighting Bakugo!"

"Yeah! Good job!"

The class crowded around. Rey took the chance to sit down at his seat. Deku was flustered by the barrage of questions, but he started answering their questions under the persistence of Uraraka.

"Rey and Izuku. Your homework is up here. Come and get it. The rest of you, quiet down." Aizawa threatened the class with his glowing red eyes.

The class quietened down immediately, afraid of Aizawa's wrath. Their questions had to wait until after school.
