A Stroll

If I haven't decided to go for a stroll before lunchtime, none of it would have happened. But, it happened, and I don't think it's a coincidence. Perhaps, it was fate telling me not to hide myself from the world anymore. No matter what it was supposed to be, I saw the light, and this time, I'm not letting it go out.

---

I was walking the street across from UA when I heard the villain attack. Two F-rank villains were robbing civilians one street down. I heard the noise, and, interested, I headed toward them.

That's really bold of the two to try a robbery in broad daylight. The number 1 hero school is literally right there.

"Give my bag back!" A young lady dressed in blue tried to grab her handbag back from the villain. The villain growled in annoyance and slapped the lady to the ground. He pointed his hand at the lady, and the tip of his fingers morphed into the heads of pistols. The lady screamed in terror.

I frowned and looked around, but I saw no heroes coming to the scene. Well then...

---

Aizawa and Nezu were walking out of UA to grab lunch when they heard the commotion. Aizawa saw the two villains, and he prepared to go over to capture them.

"Nezu, I'm going over there to help. Stay here, it won't take too long."

Before Nezu could answer Aizawa, a gunshot rang through the air.

"Bang!"

The lady in blue screamed. A thin line of red formed on her thigh.

The villain made a noise of surprise. A chain made of light coiled around his shooting hand. The chain had yanked his hand away, preventing the bullet from hitting the heart.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" The villain yelled. He scanned the crowd for an undercover hero, but he saw no one.

"Behind you." The villain heard a whisper behind him. Rey appeared behind the villain and knocked the villain out with a swift blow to the head. The villain's accomplice saw his partner chained up on the floor unconscious, and he let out a roar of anger. "Kid, who do you think you're messing with?"

The villain with horns of a bull charged at Rey. Rey raised his hand in front of him. "Cage."

A cube of light surrounded the charging villain. He ran into the cube with his horns, but he failed to break free. He roared in rage and slammed his body into the cube. Rey looked at the villain for a couple more moments and then shifted his eyes to the wounded lady.

He walked over, kneeled down, and put a gloved hand over the wound.

"Ma'am, I'm going to heal your wound now. Can you do me a favor? Can you close your eyes and count to 30 please?" Rey said gently at the lady.

"Huh? O-oh! Of course. Thank you!"

The lady closed her eyes and started to count. "1, 2, 3 ..."

Rey's hand started to glow white. At a speed visible to the human eye, the lady's wound started to close up. After 7 seconds, the wound was gone.

Rey stood up and withdrew his hand. He put the lady's bag next to her and walked away.

---

"27, 28, 29, 30!"

The lady opened her eyes and gasped. Her wound was healed, and her bag was next to her. She looked around for the boy who saved her, but he was gone. The patrolling hero had just arrived, and he was taking the villains away.

The lady sighed. She didn't even know what the boy looked like. He was wearing a white mask the entire time. All she remembered was the hair of white and the gentle black eyes.
