Terrifying Lizards!

In the sword tower, there was nothing extraordinary to note. The first level was just a large hall about 30 metres wide. Despite its size, the whole space was empty with only a few pillars supporting the building. The only thing to see was two big lizards each about the size of a truck slumbering in the Hall.

Agama Lizard (Warrior rank) Level 20

HP: 3000

As soon as Xuan Yuan entered the Hall, the slumbering Lizards awoke instantly and immediately stood up gazing menacingly at Xuan Yuan with a furious look on their faces as if angered by how Xuan Yuan disrupted their peaceful sleep.

Seeing the lizards stare at him furiously, Xuan Yuan hurriedly unsheathed and swallowed a mouthful of Saliva with his back dripping in cold sweat.

'I just disturbed their slumber, did they have to react so intensely?' Xuan Yuan cried inwardly.

The Lizards growled as they charged at him with the ground trembling at their feet.

Xuan Yuan took a deep breath as he charged at them too and dodged the claw strike from one of the Lizard. He appeared at the side and slashed at the Lizard.

'Fuck!! what incredible defense!' Xuan Yuan shouted as he looked at the small red number floating on top of its head. Xuan Yuan hurriedly parried with his sword as he blocked the strike from the second Lizard and was sent flying over 10 metres backwards, his back hitting the wall which trembled from the collision.

'This...' Xuan Yuan was terrified as he raised his arm trembling from blocking the strike just now.

Xuan Yuan was currently facing the two Level 20 lizards at the same level as them. Normally, there shouldn't be any mistake and he should be able to fight normally, but not only does the Lizards possess frightening defense but their strength was just as terrific as they could even send Xuan Yuan flying over ten metres backwards with their claws.

Currently, Xuan Yuan's basic attributes had surpassed the Tier 0 standard and could even match that of current Tier 1 players. Not even a Tier 1 Berserker, a class famed for their strength could send him flying over 10 metres backwards. Yet this Lizards did just that taking away 60% of his HP in the process. If they were Tier 1 Elite monsters he'd have been crushed to death right there and then.

'This will be difficult!' Xuan Yuan said as he climbed out from the crack in the wall.

The Lizards turned to his direction. Seeing that he's still alive they charged at him again with claws raised. The claws emanated a faint red glow as they gave Xuan Yuan goosebumps. If these claws were to pierce through him, he'd die without question.

Xuan Yuan took a deep breath as crimson Flames began burning all over his body flowing to his sword.

Xuan Yuan raised his sword and executed two slashes at the two lizards halting their charge briefly. In this brief moment, Xuan Yuan sped up immediately and appeared in front of a nearby Lizard executing Chop and slash dealing a total of about -300 damage to the Lizard.

He followed up with a series of strikes giving the Lizard no chance to retaliate. The other Lizard after recovering itself launched another claw strike at Xuan Yuan who flashed and escaped the attack range of the claw. The Lizard who couldn't stop its strike landed his strike at his fellow Lizard whose HP fell by a huge margin.

It roared in anger after realizing that it struck its ally instead and tried to locate Xuan Yuan who had already appeared at its back with Sword raised.

<Fatal strike>

The Lizard cried as a critical damage of -1000 floated above its head as its HP fell to 60%.

Xuan Yuan flashed again and appeared beneath its belly dealing another -500 damage and sending its HP down the drain.

As the battle went on, the twin Lizards' HP bar went down steadily as Xuan Yuan toyed with them while they couldn't land another strike at all. They could only watch as the slippery Fire man continue to wash away their HP bar.

After playing with them for about ten minutes, the Lizards gave a mournful cry before they reluctantly fell to the ground uncontrollably with empty HP bars.

Xuan Yuan sighed in relief as he heard the system notification. He finally slayed those oversized lizards after having a fierce battle with them. He picked the loots dropped none of which were useful to him in any way as his equipments were better than them. He nonetheless kept them. They'd fetch a sum of money if sold later.

He sat down to rest for a few minutes before ascending to the second level.

<The second Trial of the sword tower begins...>

The system said as Xuan Yuan arrived at the second level with three swordmen waiting for him with silvery longswords in their grasp.

Sword disciples (Warrior rank) Level 25

HP: 3500.

As soon as Xuan Yuan arrived, the sword disciples raised their swords and charged simultaneously at him from different directions.

<Slash> They raised their swords and sent three sword lights at him. Xuan Yuan tightened his grip on the sword and charged at them too dodging the Sword lights.

He appeared in front of one of the Sword disciples and began a fierce battle with him.

'Fuck!' Xuan Yuan cried as he was forced back from the Swordsman narrowly dodging the strikes from the other two.
