Quest of proving worthiness

'The Mana here is so dense!' Xuan Yuan thought as he entered the inner chambers with the official. He glanced around and saw various kinds of Mana gathering Arrays that increased the Mana density by a lot compared to that of the outside world.

Just like matter, Mana also has three states. Gaseous, Liquid and Solid state. Ordinary Mana in the air are just Gaseous Mana. When the concentration of Mana in a place reaches a certain point, they start condensing to form liquid Mana. As for solid Mana, it is formed from liquid Mana that has been solidified to form a solid mass in an area, though this is quite rare. Tier 3 existences and below only possess Gaseous Mana, the only difference being their respective Mana quality. As for Tier 4 Emperors, their Mana would have been condensed to Liquid state, though even among Emperors, those with Liquid Mana are only a small fraction. Tier 5 Saints with Solid Mana are even rarer and such existences are regarded as invincible below Tier 6 with some even possessing power that rivals that of Tier 6 Gods...

They walked past a corridor and arrived in a empty hall where a Man wearing simple clothing quietly stood in the middle.

When Xuan Yuan saw the man, he sucked in a breath of cold air. This was the Jade Spear Emperor, the Ruler of Jade spear city!

The Jade spear Emperor was a middle aged, level 150 Tier 4 Emperor with average looking appearance, he wore a shining armor like a Holy Knight that descended from Heaven. But currently, he had no weapon or shield with him, He only stood there patiently as if he was waiting for someone...

"The Sword Mage is here, My Lord" The Tier 3 official announced.

"Okay, You may leave official" The Jade Spear Emperor said and the official left quietly.

"Welcome Sword Mage Sage Yuan, to my Jade Spear manor" The Jade Spear Emperor, Raymond said.

"Greetings, city ruler" Xuan Yuan bowed and greeted.

"I've heard some rumors about you Sword Mage, I didn't expect that you're really a Tier 1 Swordman" Raymond said.

"You humble me, sire" Xuan Yuan said. "Why did you summon me here, Your Highness?"

"Hmmmm... Sword Mage, I have a quest for you" Raymond said suddenly.

"What quest?"

"Don't rush. This quest is a confidential one and you need to prove yourself worthy of the task to hear of the details!" Raymond explained.

"Prove myself?" Xuan Yuan asked.

"Why don't you visit the Holy temple of Humanity. I've long since wondered what tower you'd reach with your extraordinary strength and techniques" Raymond suggested.

"No problem then, I'll prove myself worthy then" Xuan Yuan agreed.

<Quest notification, you have accepted the Proving worthiness quest. Visit the Holy Temple of Humanity and challenge the Evaluation Tower. You'd need to reach the 6th level of the tower or more to complete the quest>

"Is there anything else you need to tell me?" Xuan Yuan asked.

"Nothing more. Just that for you to successfully conquer the 6th tower, you need to be a Peak Sword King at the very least even for you as the Sword Mage." Jade Spear Emperor Raymond said.

"Okay, I'll just challenge the Tower anyway" Xuan Yuan shrugged. "I'll take my leave now" He said and left the hall...

Once he got out of the inner chambers of the Jade Spear Manor, he immediately covered himself with a stealth magic array and flew out immediately. He knew there were players outside the Manor waiting for the chance to enter. If he simply flew out without caution, he'd be revealing his overpowered abilities to all. That'd make him a target for other powers who see him as a potential threat. By covering himself with a stealth array, even if he hovered above them continuously, no player can see him.

Within seconds, he flew out of the City Ruler's manor with the many players at the gate waiting for him...

'There were not so many players at the gate earlier. What the hell happened?' He thought.

Unknown to Xuan Yuan, after entering the Ruler's manor, the players outside who saw him being addressed as the Sword Mage promptly spread the news about meeting him there which led to an abnormal amount of players waiting at the gate of the Ruler's mansion.

Thank God he chose to fly out with stealth active, otherwise he'd have faced a lot of trouble. He snickered and quietly flew towards a certain direction...

"He's been there for about 30 mins what's he doing for so long??" One of the players asked.

"Could he have left from a secret exit?"

"Or could he be among us here?" As someone said that everyone subconsciously turned to the person next to them suspecting whether he's the Sword Mage...

The Sword Mage himself was already a few kilometers away from them.

'Flying is really incredible and Fast!' He thought as he watched the horizon flash away beneath him. He still had the stealth skill active though. Currently, players are only at Level 45 at best, five levels away from challenging their Tier 2 promotion quests. Flying at Tier 4 is still something players can only fantasize about. One could imagine how much of a shock it would be if you saw a Tier 1 player fly like a bird above you...
