"We'll take that one too" Xuanyuan said.
"Thank you brother" Grim reaper said thankfully.
"Call me Xuanyuan"
"Okay, brother Xuanyuan"
The Managers returned with the Race change tokens and combat techniques and handed them to Xuanyuan.
"One minute my lord" The Manager of the second level said when Xuanyuan was about to leave.
"I see you are interested in combat techniques so I thought I should inform you of an Auction taking place in the Purple leaves Auction arena tomorrow" The Manager said. "I heard one of the major items that will be auctioned will be a Sword type Silver ranked Combat technique.
"Really?" Xuanyuan asked.
"Yes" Grim reaper confirmed. "I was also planning to visit the arena tomorrow. We can go together"
"I've prepared this VIP ticket in advance. I hope you can receive it" The Manager said as he handed a ticket towards Xuanyuan.
Xuanyuan wanted to refuse the ticket but once he saw the no going back look on the Manager's face, he received it and threw a Tier 4 Magic scroll back to them instead.
"That's going to fetch you some Magic crystals" He said and left the Bazaar with the Managers shouting their thanks after him...
"There's still about 18 hours before the auction begins. Where do you want to visit in the city? I know this city like the palm of my hand" Grim reaper boasted.
"Then you must know of the most suitable place to learn combat techniques" Xuanyuan said.
"You want to learn the combat techniques now?" Grim reaper asked.
"Of course, rather than waste time walking around, it's better if I learn the newly acquired combat technique instead" Xuanyuan replied.
"Okay" Grim reaper said. "I know of an Hotel in the central region of the city with high Mana density. If we train there, I'm sure there will be improvements" Grim reaper.
"Off we go then" Xuanyuan said and followed Grim reaper to the hotel...
<18 hours later: Purple leaves Auction arena>
Currently, the arena was filled to the brim with many players trooping in into the Auction arena. Meanwhile, there was an even greater amount of players waiting outside the Auction arena. Although these players cannot participate in the Auction, they could watch what was happening in the arena through the big Magic screen atop the arena.
Xuanyuan and Grim reaper quietly slipped into the VIP line and was granted access into the arena in less than five minutes. A female NPC led them to a small VIP room in the arena where a small number of people sat. Although, the number of VIPs present was not small, it was nothing compared to the other people who are not VIPs.
Xuanyuan took his seat with Grim reaper unhurriedly and waited for the auction to begin...
"You're all welcomed to the Grand Auction arena of Purple leaves city" A Tier 3 NPC, the Auctioneer appeared on stage and greeted. "As usual, all payments will be made with Magic crystals. I hope you're all prepared to outbid your rivals??" The Auctioneer said which created a rather tense mood in the Auction arena.
"Now the Auction begins!" The Auctioneer announced.
"The first item to be displayed is the Magic design for a level 60 Iron ranked equipment set" The Auctioneer said as an NPC wheeled a small table where a sparkling Magical blueprint sat resplendently. "Starting price is 10000 Magic crystals and each increment should be at lease 1000 Magic crystals!"
"11000 Magic crystals!" A player shouted once the NPC stopped.
"12000 Magic crystals!" Another player shouted immediately after.
"13000 Magic crystals!" A NPC shouted. The auction was available for both players and NPCs. This was actually a disadvantage to players as NPCs who are natives in the Realm of spirituality possess more Magic crystals than the players. This made outbidding the NPCs very difficult and sometimes they'd lose crucial items to the despicable NPCs. If they were lucky, they'd get the item at a price much greater than the actual worth of said item...
"15000 Magic crystals" Another NPC shouted.
"17000 Magic crystals!"
"20000 Magic crystals!"
"25000 Magic crystals"
"Damn it!" A player shouted. "These NPCs are so rich. I bid 26000 Magic crystals!"
"27000 Magic crystals! Don't compete with our Sonic wave Guild!"
"You think only your Guild needs it? I bid 29000 Magic crystals!"
"30000 Magic crystals!" ...
Perhaps everyone noticed that 30000 Magic crystals was already triple of the starting price, they all gave up bidding for the Equivalent set.
"30000 Magic crystals, going once!.. Twice!.. Sold!!" The Auctioneer announced. Congratulations to number 12 for winning the Set. Item will be delivered once the Auction ends" He continued...
No bid came from the VIP room but everyone knew this was just the beginning. The competition between the VIPs was usually most intense...
The Auction continued as the Auctioneer continued displaying more items most of which only some interested VIPs bid for. Majority of the item were obtained by the non VIPs...
"And now, We're going to display one of the Main items of the day. The design for a Magic tower!" The Auctioneer announced as a female NPC wheeled a blueprint into the room. "We all know, this Magic tower is a defensive construction used to improve the defensive capabilities of the city. When all Magic towers are successfully constructed, we all know how much benefits they will provide to the city. Hence the starting price will be 100000 Magic crystals and minimum increment is 5000 Magic crystals!"
"110000 Magic crystals!" An NPC shouted almost immediately.
"115000 Magic crystals!" Another NPC shouted.
"120000 Magic crystals!" Another NPC shouted. This was actually a competition between the NPCs as players at this stage of the game cannot create a Guild town or city nor can they acquire the ruling rights to one so they design was practically useless for them...
