Fighting the Geniuses

"Don't feel so ashamed" Xuanyuan said to Mizar who was slowly standing up to his feet. "You were not my match from the onset" He continued. If latter knew that Xuanyuan had just slain the Tier 4 Twilight Emperor before coming here, they wouldn't have been so surprised. After all, even the combined powers of the three Geniuses isn't enough to fill the gap between the Tiger's tooth...

"What are you waiting for? Let's take him down together!" Mizar bellowed to his followers who quickly drew their weapons and surrounded Xuanyuan. Their entourage was composed of two other Tier 3 Kings while the rest were Tier 2 Masters.

One of the Tier 3 Shield warrior activated <Taunt> as he charged at Xuanyuan. The item was supposed to direct Xuanyuan's attention at himself but strangely, Xuanyuan remained completely unaffected as even after he activated the skill, Xuanyuan's didn't even glance at him once.

"Zerg tactic huh? Then I'll become a one man army too!" Xuanyuan sneered and stretched his right hand. At the same time, 21 swords covered in raging flames manifested in front of him.

"Now face this" He said and directed the swords at his nine opponents. The swords streaked through the air leaving a burning trail in their path. Each of the swords carried power nearing the Tier 4 standard as he attacked his opponent with them with each of them facing at least two swords. It was the same as having two Tier 3 Kings attacking you.

The six Tier 2 Masters lost their lives once they clashed against the swords. A Tier 2 Master being attacked by two Tier 3 Kings wouldn't have done better, after all Tiers was what determines strength in the Realm of spirituality. Transcending one Tier was already difficult, only unique existences like Xuanyuan could cross many Tiers at once...

Among the Tier 3 Kings left, only Mizar and the Tier 3 Shield warrior were doing fine against the swords, the other Tier 3 Mage was already running out of lifesaving measures. But they couldn't hold on for much longer either as the number of swords they had to face had increased after the Tier 2 Masters lost their lives. As for attacking Xuanyuan, that's not even feasible at all, after all they already have their hands full with the swords that kept attacking them as if they had a life of their own. If they diverted their attention away to attack Xuanyuan for a moment, they'd lose their lives. Meanwhile, it was not even known whether they could finish Xuanyuan.

This was a grievous situation for them, after all, if they died, as NPCs, especially not as monsters, it requires great resources to resurrect them.

Players are not the only ones that have the advantages of being resurrected infinitely. NPCs also do but they require more resources to do so but players do not even need anything just a level and all will be fine. Of course some monsters and Bosses also respawn once their slain but there's a fixed period between death and resurrection. Only unique bosses and NPCs do not resurrect after death...

"Please help me this time!" Mizar turned to his two rivals.

"I can't offend such an expert for your sake" Aurora said. "It's your luck for managing to provoke am expert"

"If we don't join hands now, you guys can't fight him either" Mizar said. "If you're ready to be trampled on, don't fight with me"

As expected, they both revealed strange faces once Mizar said that. They've been lauded as peak figures of their generation, they had always been the ones trampling on their opponents, the reverse had never happened. They wouldn't allow a random expert to trample on them.

"I'll only help you this once" Abyss said as he unsheathed two short daggers. It was obvious from the aura the daggers radiated that they were Epic weapons. He went into stealth immediately and dashed at Xuanyuan.

Aurora Mage Queen also took out a blue Epic ranked staff with the symbol of a serpent at its tip and joined the battle. Now it was Four Tier 3 Kings against a Tier 2 Sword Master. That was unprecedented. Defeating a Tier 3 King was already plenty astonishing. Now he was up against four and he was not even unfazed. No one doubted that if Xuanyuan was a Tier 3 King, he'd have defeated them effortlessly. Even if he was defeated, he could boast with confidence that he defeated Tier 3 Kings at Tier 2.

No Tier 2 Master joined the battle after they witnessed what happened to the six Tier 2 Masters. Those six couldn't even put up a fight against someone of the same tier. Joining the battle as a Tier 2 Master is the same as commiting suicide.

Not far away, Grim reaper stood with his blood boiling as he looked at Xuanyuan's steadfastness even when he was up against four opponents of a higher Tier. 'No wonder he didn't mind offending them. They were the ones that should have been wary of offending him instead!' He thought.

Xuanyuan didn't bother chit chatting with them, he directly began the battle by having his swords attack them. But Aurora Mage Queen who specialized in water elemental powers suddenly activated her spell <Ocean rush> and effortlessly took care of the swords.

Just when she was prepared to attack Xuanyuan with another spell, Xuanyuan suddenly began a strange footwork splitting into nine copies of himself who radiated the same aura as the real Xuanyuan confusing the four Kings.

Abyss Death King appeared behind one of the Xuanyuans and stabbed from behind but his dagger went through as if he'd struck air.

"Abyss, behind you!" Mizar suddenly shouted as Xuanyuan appeared behind him and swung his sword at him. But his sword only struck air as Abyss had already activated <Flash> and appeared dozens of yards away...
