Reality Book

Within an average apartment complex, Elliot was sitting down in his room, scrolling through a document on his computer.

*Bam!*

Instantly, he was alerted getting up from his chair, before turning to the door.

'Now who is there? I don't remember inviting anyone.' Elliot narrowed his eyes.

The room was quite dark, with the only source of light being his computer. Although he had a bulb, he preferred it to be turned off.

Since the apartment was his, he knew the ins and outs of this place. Thus, he easily navigated his way towards the front door.

He sighed, before calling out. "Who's there!?"

…No response.

Even after a few seconds, only the whooshing of his ceiling fan resounded in his ears.

Elliot extended his arm out, reaching the doorknob, before opening it abruptly.

He looked forward intensely, wanting to know who was there at this time of the day.

It was currently night.

As the door creaked open, he widened his eyes after seeing no one at the door.

He stepped forward, looking around to see whether he could at least spot someone. But apart from a completely deserted corridor, not a single soul could be found.

"Damn it… At least, give props to the dude for being so quick." Elliot sighed, before turning back.

But his eyes managed to spot something before the door completely closed behind him.

"A book?" He said with a weird expression on his face. "My guy thinks am a nerd it seems. Kids these days."

Elliot picked up the book, wanting to see what it was about. Curiosity had gotten the better of him. If someone had placed a book in front of his door, it ought to be interesting… right?

He walked back in, with the book in his arms, flipping the switch, consequently turning on the lights.

He walked back to his chair, placing the book before him.

Now, closely inspecting it, Elliot marveled at how grand and aesthetic the book really was.

It was black, with beautiful gold and blue engravings on it. At the apex right corner of the book, was a number—100.

Lastly, there were two words written on the cover, mostly likely the name.

Reality Note.

After seeing it, Elliot had a sense of déjà vu before shaking his head.

"Reminds me of something familiar…" He smiled, opening the book.

Doing so felt otherworldly to say the least. Elliot had never felt something like that. He swore he was tripping or something was playing with his senses.

On the first page, there was a title:

-Guide of the Reality Note-

In a weird distorted writing.

Elliot then turned his gaze to the rules.

-The Reality Note allows one to change reality at the cost of Alter Points which can be found at the upper right corner of the book-

"So the hundred is the number of Alter Points I have… Cringe, but I will play along."

-Rule number one: The user must have a clear image in mind about what he wants to change.-

-Number two: If you don't have sufficient Alter Points, your life span would be taken in exchange.-

-Number three: You CANNOT undo the change you have done to reality.-

-Number four: Reincarnation is forbidden.-

-Number five: You can obtain Alter Points by changing Reality without using Alter Points.-

-Number six: User's blood is needed to write in the Reality book.-

[YOU ARE AN ANOMALY THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO EXIST]

Elliot was quite stunned as he read it. Before, he played it as a joke. But now, was it really real? He wasn't sure whether the last text was actually glowing with a demonic subtle red light.

Elliot finally noticed the black, thin rod, with a pointed tip at the ledge between the pages He assumed it was some kind of writing device.

His arm was trembling as he turned the page, onto a fresh one with nothing on it. The pages were black as the cover, emitting a ghastly and grand aura.

Elliot was sure he was doing it for fun. But deep down, was he really going to do it?

At that moment, a sinister grin sprouted on his face as he imagined the satisfaction he would feel after doing this.

The pen he got formed the book, suddenly glowed red. Elliot understood that it was taking his blood, making him believe the book even more. The grin on his face became even wider.

And with vicious eyes, he wrote down in a swift manner.

[Curt Anders should die by heart attack, and immediately, Elliot Clover will receive an email on his computer about the news of his death]

Elliot felt a bit exhausted. The blood the book consumed wasn't really big nor small. But regardless, he felt quite weak. Wanting to eat something immediately.

But his excitement got the better of him.

He checked the cover, seeing the prevailing 100, go down to 90.

His eyes flashed before quickly directing hi mouse to the inbox of his email.

And there he saw it…

<Curt Anders is dead>

Elliot grinned like a madman.
