Backstory
The year 1997
Jimin's mother Hyeji gave birth to her in a small clinic. Throughout her pregnancy, Hyeji didn't tell her firstborn, Yunho because she plans to give her child to her best friend who has cancer. Her husband, Han Jungmin thinks that the child should be theirs. Her husband gives Hyeji a hard time.
She wants to give the child to her friend at least until her friend's last moments. But she feels love towards the baby.
"Should I give her or not? I don't want to disappoint Jayoung tough" she asked herself.
On the other hand, Jayoung or Shin Jayoung already has a daughter named Jikyung. She really want to have a sibling-like her friends.
That day, Hyeji secretly goes to a small clinic and deliver the baby. She has a daughter. Hyeji overjoyed finally the gender of the baby is really what Jayoung wants.
She holds her baby and feed her milk. Finally, she has a daughter. Hyeji named her Jimin.
days go by and Jimin already 100 days old. today, Jungmin returns home and Hyeji decided to give Jimin to Jayoung carefully so no one except her and Jayoung know the truth.
"Annyeong Jayoung-ah"
"Eo, Hyeji-ya"
Jayoung let Hyeji come into her house. Unlike Hyeji, Jayoung is a poor woman. She lives in a goshiwon or known as a one-room apartment in Seoul. She could not afford more because she only works at a sauna. she's lucky tough the government pays for her daughter's education after her late husband passed away. The only thing that can clearly see is a bed and a carpet with Jayoung dan Jikyung's things and public toilet downstairs.
"Jayoung-ah here take her, "Hyeji said as she hands Jimin to Jayoung.
"But she's your daughter Hyeji-ah"
"It's okay for me it will be easier to let you raise her because we're friends I can visit her whenever I miss her"
Jayoung then holds Jimin from the first look she falls in love with Jimin. Then Jayoung let Jimin sleep in her bed. Hyeji holds and kisses Jimin one last time before she goes home hoping that someday, they will meet again.
"Jimin-ah eomma loves you until then," said Hyeji as she looks at her baby's face one last time. she turns to Jayoung and told her to take care of Jimin then she goes back to her car to prepare dinner for the Han family.
Hyeji's husband, Han Jungmin sent someone to follow his wife. The man who secretly follows Hyeji told Jungmin about all her secrets and how she gives Jimin to Jayoung.
23.00 in Han household when their firstborn, Yunho already fast asleep.
Jungmin: YEOBO WHY DO YOU GIVE OUR DAUGHTER TO HER?
Hyeji: (startled) yeobo speak slowly our son is sleeping
Jungmin: But how could you let our daughter raised by a poor family like them?

Jikyung is still looking at her sister's face.
"Jimin-ah you're my sister now and I will take care of you" after that baby Jimin sneeze then Jikyung soothe her as she holds her now sister to sleep
