Chapter 25: a group of actors

The next day, at the deer village.

This morning, the villagers start to feel restless. Yesterday, 12 people went hunting and not yet return. Those were the strong people in the village. Among the missing people, there were 2 warriors as well. They are the backbone of each village.

Warrior is a status that belongs to tier1 fighters of the village. They can fight one on one against some tier1 animal in the forest. The sudden disappearance of the hunter group under the led of 2 warriors to the forest edge, makes the villager worry.

Everyone thinks that a strong beast sneakily crosses the river from the death forest, and hide nearby their village.

But different from the common villager, the warrior captain didn't think that the hunter group met any tier2 beast. Otherwise, a few hunters would have been returned and report. Because a tier2 beast can't chase and catch everyone up when they scatter up and try to escape.

So it comes to the second speculation, they had been surrounded by many tier1 beasts and got killed. But an entire day and night have passed. And he sees no beast attacking the village. If a group of tier1 is coming out from the dungeon, they won't stop after they killed a small group of hunters.

The next speculation is bandits. Once in a while, a group of criminals escaped from a city or a town and come to hide in the forest.

With some guesses in his mind, the captain decided to gather a group of people that's strong enough to handle any possibility above.

Soon, 7 warriors including the captain warrior himself and 15 hunters equipped with swords spears, and bows headed out into the forest.

1 hour in.

They met no bandits or any horde of the beast.

2hours in.

Still no sign of danger. Then a warrior walks up to the captain to remind him. "Keep walking this way, in 20minutes we will arrive at the wolf dungeon."

The captain nodded. "I know. Did you notice that there are no fierce animals around here? Not even a wolf when we are this close to the dungeon."

"Yeah!"

"So let check out the dungeon."

After arriving close to the dungeon, the group witnesses a surprising scene. They see their missing friends fighting each other. Then someone exclaims: "what the fuck are they doing? Ran away to train here without telling us?"

Then a hotheaded guy walks out to shout at their missing friends. "Hay guy!! What the fuck are you doing here? We have been looking for you. I thought you are dead."

Then the sparing people suddenly stop sparing and turn around to look at the newcomer. Then Number 1 step out while ask "who among you is the strongest?"

(Number 1 and number 2 are the names that Soro gives to his 2 strongest humans.)

Before anyone could understand what their missing friend said, the hotheaded guy thought that his friend is ignoring him. And pretend to ask everyone, who is the strongest while the captain is standing there.

So he walks up to his friend and tries to hit his head and ask if he is stupid or something, why won't he see the captain is there. But before he can do so, his friend moves quickly close to him and knock him out cold in a few moves without changing in expression.

"Who among you is the strongest?"

This time, everyone becomes shocked. They never know that their fellow warrior is this skill. And then they turn to look at their captain. For the captain though, he thinks that everything is odd.

Then the captain decided to step out and ask first. Sparing can put aside for now. Their original purpose is to find the missing group.

Seeing a guy stepping out while others are looking at him. Like asking "are you going to teach this guy to know his place?" Number 1 knows instantly that this guy is the leader. So he let a smile and act like he was joking earlier. Even though a guy is still laying on the ground unconscious, he still acts like everything was just a joke.

Then the 2 groups start to exchange talk with each other like they knew each other.

Little that they know, their missing friends are dead already. These are Soro's summons with memories related to soldier, spy, fighter, boxer, and more. And here you can see full use of how a spy should act in other to get information.

Right now these super soldiers are pretending that they know the people from the village. Because Soro already predicted this scenario. So he added things related to how a transmigrator should act when they take over someone's body and met someone that knows their current body.
