I was interrupted at this junction as we stepped into the cafeteria of the school, everyone turning towards us as we were at least an hour late for breakfast and it was unusual for anyone to be late for breakfast. We received some weird looks from the younger students who within moments went back to their food and kept on chatting, whilst the X-men, who were all siting together at a large table nearest to the teacher's offices, waved over to us and urged us to sit.
We walked over and took the offered seats and were quickly engaged in conversation.
"Emelia! How were you able to stop that tsunami wave!?"
Rogue practically yelled in excitement and curiosity as I sat opposite of her, Illyana sitting beside me being talked to by Piotr who was apologising for his actions on the Jet. At rogues question though half of the room, children included looked at me, the X-men expectantly, the kids with stars in their eyes and disbelief painting the faces of very few of them.
"It's a spell i developed... It allows me to control all water within a certain radius. It is also very tiring."
[Liar, liar, pants on fire...]
'Yeah i know... It was mainly the creation of it that fucked me up.'
"Whoa, cool! I wish i could learn magic like you!"
Rogue looked at me with an excited glint in her eyes as if i were the answer to her issues.
'Sis, is there a way i could allow her to control her powers and selectively turn them on and off?'
[Yes of course there is, you could easily make a rune and attach it to her, allowing her to consciously turn her abilities on and off with almost no delay. That will cost you nothing using your new Intermediate Rune Forger Title.]

Silence and stillness filled the table as everyone turned towards me and Rogue.
