In the main control room of the Archimedes, Uno sat on his comfy sofa with his favorite white research robe as he treated himself with a glass of iced coffee.

"Ah, what a bitter day just like this bitter coffee. I didn't expect that they would be so crazy to completely abandon the grand final and escape from Archimedes. Fortunately, I can still clean up the mess they had left." He smiled wryly.

"Well, I can understand their feelings." He sighed.

"No regulars won't be shocked after witnessing such a display of power from a mere E-ranked regular, even if the said E-ranked regular is a princess of Zahard. Even as a ranker with a thousand years of experience, I have never met such a talented prodigy."

"I guess they aren't stupid enough to hope that they can last five minutes against such a monster, and are quite capable themselves to be able to quickly escape from a flying ship."

"To resist the power of a C-ranked ignition weapon so easily… she will undoubtedly have a bright future ahead. However, such a talent will definitely attract many people's jealousy and resentment."

He sipped his iced coffee elegantly. "After all, it's our nature to seek a better life and more benefits, and become better than our peers."

"Whenever we see much more talented people compared to ourselves, we might feel admiration at first, but when they take all of the available opportunities, we will realize how inferior we are compared to them and can't help but hold a resentment against them."

"Why do they take everything when they already have much more than we do? Why they were born blessed but we weren't? What qualifications do they have to hog everything to themselves? There are so many reasons that we might hold to detest them."

Uno took a bottle of aged wine and poured it into his glass. "Just like wine, those resentments will slowly become ripe and turned into something more… malevolent. There's a reason why those in the high places always hate changes."

He sipped his delicious wine and smiled. "Because changes bring uncertainty, and uncertainty brings unpredictability, and unpredictability brings instability, and instability brings vulnerability, and vulnerability exposes the weaknesses in their rule."

"They do not want anyone to bring them down and replace them, they want to hold onto their position and continue to enjoy their privilege as long as possible and abuse their authority."

"However, there are some new blood that could threaten their power if they are allowed to grow, such as… Adori Zahard."

"Those old guys aren't stupid, they always play by the rules, unlike those FUG idiots." Uno spoke with unadulterated derision.

"Thinking that they can destroy the rule of the Zahard Empire and the ten great families with some kind of "Gods" who are actually merely decent High-rankers that the Zahard Empire and ten great families have no lack of in their ranks, much more than they ever dream having."

"This is why those idiots aren't going to matter and do anything big anytime soon other than brainwashing some desperate folks who are delusional enough to believe that their "Gods" can make their dreams come true into their ranks."

"It's not because they are weak or not wealthy, no, their power and wealth are actually quite influential in the tower."

"It's because how they do it is wrong. Since the ten great family leaders and king Zahard are immortals, it's a pipe dream to try to shake their hegemony, instead what they should do is to conform to the system, not to go against it."

"However, to conform to the system, it's very important to play by the rules, not outright violate them like a barbaric man, but exploit their loopholes like a civilized gentleman… like me." Uno smirked, showing his clean white teeth.

"Sigh…" Uno let out a heartfelt sigh as he whisked his wine.

"Unfortunately, with my lacking talents, I have long reached my limits without even reaching the level of High-rankers, and without any notable connections, becoming a researcher in the Workshop is the best I can achieve."

"However, Adori Zahard has a much brighter future than me with her monstrous talents and position as a princess of Zahard."

"With her talents, she could become a High-ranker very easily which gives her the ability to rise through the ranks. And with her identity as a princess of Zahard, it gives her the requirement and qualification to hold powerful authority in the tower. As long as she obtains one of the thirteen months, her influence will have a meteoric rise."

"With both aspects combined, she will without a doubt, become one of the most influential princesses of Zahard. However, without any heritage of the ten great families, she doesn't have any backing, which makes her vulnerable to those greedy and sinister old f*cks."

"As someone with such a great potential, some of them definitely won't be happy to let anyone to threaten their positions, and won't allow her to mature. Those Lo Po Bia kids are most likely one of their moves to get rid of her."

"If not, how could a mere regular possess a dangerous spell? Even many Rankers have never come in contact with those. Spells aren't something that normal folks have, only those ancient and powerful folks have them."

"Right now, she is at her weakest which is the best time for the old f*cks to make a move. However, making a move against a regular isn't exactly easy as regulars are protected by the tower's rules."

"They can't just simply send in their Rankers, even if they can, that's tantamount to give a reason to get their heads cut off if anyone knows it."

"Once she becomes a Ranker, it will be extremely hard to make a move against her since she will be much more protected and powerful, so it's a bit complicated."

"However, if she is too easy, they wouldn't even bother to get rid of her, right?" Uno smirked as he asked to nobody in the room.

"So, it depends on her whether she can survive their early attempts to squash her before she grows big and can finally confront them to give their payback. Whatever her fate might turn out to be, at least it certainly will be enjoyable to watch."

Uno turned his head to his computer screen, looking at the figure on the screen and raised his eyebrows, then spoke with a little smile.

"Isn't that right, teacher?"

"..." The figure didn't answer his question as he had an unreadable expression on his face.

However, this didn't dishearten Uno at all as he asked another question. "Did his excellency, the Great Teacher, come here personally to oversee the event?"

This time, the figure opened his mouth and answered with his impassive expression. "No, his excellency did not. However, he had seen everything."

"I see..." Uno mumbled as he looked at the window.

A teacher is an important figure in the workshop just below the great teachers. Meanwhile, the great teachers are the greatest figures in the workshop, just below the founder himself. There are only 4 of them around.
