34 Chapter 34- Real Training

"This is?!" Liu Guanyi tried to lift the shirt up and felt that it was much heavier than what it looked like.

"It's heavy, right? Its true appearance is actually much bigger but my friend applied compression technology on all of them to make them smaller and convenient to use so you can wear it anytime you want."

"Incredible…" Liu Guanyi stared at the shirt in amazement. It was his honest feeling, he was truly amazed by this work.

Compressing things to make them smaller? This was a godly power! He imagined that there were so many things that could become possible with this technological power.

"Of course, it's made by a Ranker of the workshop! It's not cheap but I'll give you that for free since I agreed to train you seriously."

Liu Guanyi bowed to him. "Thank you, sir! I won't forget this favor."

"No need to thank me, kid. Just remember the favor when you have become a Ranker, or even greater than that." The Ranker spoke with a smile as he stared at him, but Liu Guanyi quickly caught on that his tone suggested that he was really serious.

Knowing this, Liu Guanyi bowed even deeper. "I'll always remember it, sir. I will certainly repay this if in the future."

The Ranker laughed lightly. "Now, you make me feel embarrassed. Just put on the shirt first. If you feel it's too light you can adjust it by pressing the button since it was added with an alloy made of Suspendium."

"The number corresponds to the weight level. One means it's ten percent of its true weight, two means it's twenty percent, and so on."

Liu Guanyi nodded and put on the iron shirt.

It felt really heavy as if he carried a dragon elephant, a humongous elephant with a bigger body than a mammoth. It was a well-known, mutated animal said to possess the blood of dragons.

When he tried to move with the shirt on, he felt like he was moving underwater. His movement was sluggish and it took much of his energy for each movement.

"How do you feel now?" The Ranker asked seeing him trying to move with the shirt on.

"It feels… perfect." Liu Guanyi smiled.

The level one weight was already pretty good for his current state. With this, he could train much more efficiently and with that, he could save more time to progress much faster.

"That's good. It seems you are ready to continue our training. You can save those bracelets first since it looks like that shirt is enough for you right now."

Liu Guanyi took the iron bracelets from the ground. When he grabbed it, he felt each of their weight was equal to a quarter of the iron shirt of the same level. Pretty damn good he'd say for each limb. Unfortunately, too much of a burden would be detrimental and slow down his growth if his body wasn't strong enough.

Even though he had inner energy that would fix any injuries that he sustained, yet the inner energy was limited. He didn't want to waste it just to fix his injuries from the training if he could avoid those in the first place.

Muscle and bones tears were good but anything beyond that was bad. Liu Guanyi wanted to use his inner energy to strengthen his muscles and refine his organs at maximum efficiency.

Time was an extremely precious commodity that people often disregarded, yet when it was gone, many people would desperately wish and beg it to return even though they knew it was impossible.

This was why instead of putting all of the bracelets into his inventory, he handed two of them to Xin. "Here, wear both of them on your legs."

"Umm, aren't those for you, Mr. Liu? I am okay without those." Xin spoke a bit hesitantly.

"I have no need for these, yet. So having you wear them would make them more useful. These will help your training much faster since your body will try to adapt to them."

"Alright." Xin nodded and quickly put them on near his ankles.

Instantly, he felt that moving his legs became ten times harder! It was as if his feet were nailed on the ground and every time he wanted to move, Xin felt as if he had to pull the ground alongside his feet.

'Mr. Liu is right! If I manage to overcome these weights and adapt to them, I will become much stronger, and most importantly… much faster. According to Mr. Liu, this is one of the most important traits that assassins should possess.' Xin pondered.

Watching Liu Guanyi handed two of the bracelets for the Tu Perie family member to wear, the ranker thought.

'It looks like he's not only hard only himself but also to his teammates. This is a very good mentality that everyone who wants to climb the tower should have. Maybe this is why the princess accepted him in her team?'

'If this goes on, both of them will be very likely to become High Rankers in less than two hundred years. Seeing them makes me happy and sad at the same time. Had I possessed their talent, maybe I would have become a High Ranker already.' Locke saw them and was lost in his imagination.

The horned Ranker shook his head and cleared those useless thoughts. There were no ifs in the reality, everyone had to accept everything as it was. Because the world didn't revolve around anyone nor did it care about one's wishes.

Locke had been born as a nameless and poor child with poor latent talent until the guardian took him to climb the tower. He didn't have the talent of the two young men in front of him, that was it. It was the reality, whether he accepted or not, it wouldn't change anything.

Maybe he would or wouldn't become a High Ranker until his death, did it truly matter?

'Whatever… becoming an Advanced Ranker is already a great achievement. There are a lot of people with a much worse fate than mine. Even many of those descendants from the ten great families don't have it easy either and even not all of them could become Rankers.'

'After all, only one or two people managed to become Rankers from millions of the tower residents, let alone becoming Advanced Rankers.'

He stopped his musing as he turned to face the two E-ranked regulars once again, and smiled.

"It looks like you are ready for the real training."
