However, just like everything, their monstrous shinsu talent didn't come for free nor without any condition and consequences.

Adori elaborated further that their incredible shinsu talent was related to the extreme laziness quirk that was so widespread among the members of the Eurassia family.

The key to their unparalleled talent and capabilities to achieve unsurpassable heights in shinsu control was feeling. Yes, their feeling to sense shinsu was much more profound, clear, intense, and intimate than what any other person or great family could ever achieve.

The ones that surpassed them in feeling shinsu itself might only be the guardians and the irregulars, such as the ten family leaders, the Red Tower, and himself.

To be able to feel shinsu to such an extent, however, they would need to sleep.

In their sleep, they could peacefully feel shinsu as long and as deep as they wished. To put it simply, their sleep was akin to how Liu Guanyi meditated to feel the inner energy but a bit more comfortable since they could do it while laying on a bed.

Hence, it was very easy for them to be addicted to sleeping.

After all, sleeping for them was basically equal to how other people work hard, it was not wasteful but a productive activity instead. So it was no brainer that they would choose to sleep than doing any other activities.

Although their sleep was a kind of training, it was just perceiving and feeling, not really training it like how people train their muscles by doing physically demanding workouts.

Shinsu control was the same, their sleeping was certainly helping immensely but it wasn't physically demanding like workouts did to the muscles. To really improve their overall shinsu control, they needed to also train creating bangs and shoot them, etc, like any others.

That was why, although their natural talent was extremely great, contending or even potentially surpassing the Arie family as the greatest family among the ten great families if utilized to its maximum potential, the truth was often disappointing as most of them were unable to reach their true potential due to being addicted to just sleeping.

According to Adori, the damn lazy and sleeping test administrator that they met was very likely a member of the Eurassia family, though not from the main family but the branch family, the Phonsecals, due to their signature light-green hair and laziness.

Although the Phonsecals weren't as talented as the Eurassias, they still shared the same talent and quirk nonetheless.

When Liu Guanyi had understood it, he could only shake his head at their peculiarity. The civilization and society in the tower had advanced and were operated in such a way that extremely lazy people like them could survive and thrive.

If it was in his world, even the highest noble children would still be unable to act so carefreely. The civilization back then was still way behind, after all.

Without working hard, how could they earn and cultivate their food to feed the population?

Since the test administrator was from the Phonsecal family, the Floor Ruler and also High Ranker was most likely from the Eurassia family.

After all, who would want to hire such a lazy employee that would take care of their job if it wasn't their own family member?

Anyway, that was why Liu Guanyi and Adori didn't think that the guy or the Floor Ruler had any ulterior motive behind their order. They were just too lazy to take care of their own territory.

Even if they had any ulterior motive to send them into the middle area, they were most likely too lazy to even think that far or bother with the planning and execution and prefer to just sleep in peace instead.

Finally, after some time, they had reached the settlement.

As they had seen from the distance, the settlement wasn't big. It was considered a village or a small town at best. There was a long and decently thick fortified wooden wall surrounding the settlement, acting as a barrier against the wild animals from the grassland.

This was normal, it was located in the middle area, after all.

Not all of the people here were regulars, and considering how remote and backward it was, being located in the outskirt of the middle area, the B-ranked regulars would rarely set foot in this area as they preferred to stay in the central and more prosperous areas.

The buildings weren't that good both in their aesthetic sense and construction, mainly made from wooden material that was built for the sake of simplicity and as cheap as possible.

In front of the settlement, there was a few meters wide and tall large entrance made from a mix of wood and iron. The iron part of the entrance had rusted though, seemingly untreated for a long time.

However, not all aspects of the settlement were bad as there was a guard post near the entrance with around a few guards guarding right by the entrance and probably a few more in the post.

When they arrived in front of the gate, the guards eyed them and forced them to stop in their tracks as they crossed their spears in front of them. Little White growled in response but Liu Guanyi patted her head softly to calm her down.

"Halt your steps, foreigners!" One of them shouted firmly.

"We will check your identity and belongings thoroughly to ensure you aren't dangerous before you can enter the town!" The guard quickly explained.

"Now, get down from your mount and take out all of your belongings!"

Liu Guanyi and Adori shared a quick glance before they nodded. All of them hopped off the white tiger, including Xin of course. After having a few days of holiday from training, his condition was already back to prime.

Adori placed her sword on the ground while Liu Guanyi and Xin took out some small things that they pocketed. The guards immediately screened the items.

However, even after they were done, they still hadn't allowed them the pass into the settlement.
