17 Chapter 17- Befriending The Princess

This didn't happen out of nowhere. Since his duel with Adori, he had been training with Xin on a field near her residence.

How could he know her place?

It was really simple. She was extremely well-known on the 2nd floor. He only asked a few questions here and there to finally find it out.

When he was training, he always made sure to show off his vast varieties of beautiful sword skills and styles, like the Turning Swallow to give a very good impression and attract her to interact with him on her own volition by her interest, without making him approach her directly.

Liu Guanyi did it every single day without fail. After a week, when he trained with Xin there, his instinct and experience made him feel that someone was observing him.

Later on, he checked for any traces of the observer and confirmed that it was really the princess who did it.

After discovering it, Liu Guanyi kept continuing his training without caring about the observation, waiting for the fish to take the bait or to finally let it go.

Liu Guanyi knew that for her, a regular like him was a very fresh experience. Someone interesting who didn't really care about her status and had the capability to go toe to toe in the way of the sword.

Fortunately, she had taken the bait in the end.

"It's okay. As long as it is a reasonable request." Adori answered with an expressionless face.

. . . . . .

It was a scene that baffled the regulars who were eating in the cafeteria. On a big rectangular table, three people were seated. A yellow-haired boy in black clothes, a black-haired in black martial robe, and a beautiful white-haired girl in a white dress with golden ornaments.

There were many delicious-looking and nutritious dishes on the table, from white steel eel soup to bibimbap and ham omelet.

"Wooah, how did you get all of these Mr. Liu, didn't you told to save our points?!" Xin exclaimed in wonder.

"Hahaha, it's okay. It's all thanks to Princess Adori. Just thank her, Xin." Liu Guanyi casually answered.

"Thank you so much, Princess, you are so kind!" He quickly thanked the princess.

"Don't worry about it. It was Liu who requested it." Adori said calmly as she looked over to the dishes on the table.

"Why did you want me to order so much food? Aren't these too much for us?" She curiously asked.

"Well, not really. Did you know that warriors need high energy intake to grow and maintain their strength?" He questioned.

Hearing it for the first time, she shook her head.

"You haven't ever heard it?" He scrunched his brows and continued.

"If we eat a lot of food, it will strengthen our body and increase our endurance by building our muscles. Moreover, with more energy, we could train more often than others. The benefit is a lot." Explained Liu Guanyi.

Hearing his response Adori thought over it for a while and eventually nodded her head.

"Your reasoning was logical. I guess I need to eat more food" She commented.

"Well, let's begin the feast!"

They started eating the meals in peace disregarding the stunned onlookers. They never imagined that the cold and aloof princess could eat together with others.

But looking at it, the scene in front of them was undeniable, such lucky guys the two of them, they thought in envy.

. . . . . .

"Princess Adori, this is the sword style I used to fight you previously" Liu Guanyi spoke as he showed her the exact sword style he used against her with the help of Xin.

They were standing in their usual training area, however, this time Adori had also joined them to learn his sword style.

Xin, holding a sword, stepped forward and launched a slash toward him at his torso. When the blade neared his body, Liu Guanyi quickly sidestepped and used the power from the incoming blade to push himself as he made a 360-degree spin and launched his counterattack in tandem with the spinning power.

Liu Guanyi's powerful counterattack instantly overwhelmed Xin as his sword reached his neck and he stopped himself just right before his sword manage to touch it.

"This sword style is called "Turning Swallow". The core technique in performing this high execution skill lies on the coordination between deflecting the attacks and the fluent hips' and foot's movements."

"If there was a slight mistake in one of them, you won't be able to convert the energy from the attacks to redirect it properly. Opening your defense and leaving you in an awkward posture." He explained the inner working of the technique.

"However, it has its own limits you already saw it yourself, didn't you? So do you still want to learn this?" Liu Guanyi asked the princess once again.

Adori simply nodded and said, "It's alright, even if it's not that useful to me. I just want to learn it to increase my experience."

"Very well, let's begin." Said Liu Guanyi as he readied his sword.

Hearing her will, he did not waste any more time. Respecting her decision, he began to teach her the technique earnestly. Liu Guanyi was sure that she would pick it up quickly with her good comprehension ability and innate talent in combats.

. . . . . .

Time quickly passed when they were training. The three of them were now walking back to the regulars' residence area. They walked side by side casually, the princess didn't mind it at all.

Soon, they saw a branching road as the princess stopped. Seeing this, both of them also stopped.

"My lodging is on this way, it was nice today, thanks to you." Adori spoke with a slight smile curling on her face.

"See you tomorrow." She said her farewell and walked away without waiting for their response.

"See you tomorrow as well Princess Adori. Thank you for the food!" Liu Guanyi smiled as he casually replied.

They watched as the figure of Adori slowly began to vanish in the darkness of the night.

"Mr. Liu, how did you befriend the princess? I heard from my classmates that she is very cold and aloof. After all, she comes from the Zahard family." Xin said with bewilderment.

"That's something you need to learn. the heart of humans can change easily, it might be hard but as long as you understand it, you could grasp it easily." Liu Guanyi stated coolly.

"Really, even my parents and family?!" Asked Xin loudly.

"Yes, even them. After all, they are merely humans. Just like us, they have their own thoughts and desires." Liu Guanyi profoundly explained with a smile on his face.
