When the ground burst open, Theo, who almost had a heart attack due to Liu Guanyi's sudden movement, was shocked even harder. The strings of events happened and alternated so fast that he was unable to react at all.
So, when a massive dark-colored figure came out of the hole on the ground and envelop his figure as his eyesight seemed to be covered in darkness, he couldn't evade and move out of the way.

An audible sound of jaw shutting close sounded as Theo disappeared and was completely swallowed by the dark figure before the ground shook strongly as the creature rolled on the ground and revealed its entire figure.

It was the huge black snake that he had previously met!

The two stared at each other in silence for a moment. The snake seemed to be not hurried at all as it stood patiently and watched Liu Guanyi's movements. Its tongue hissed as its eyes observed the tiny human.
As Liu Guanyi had expected, the snake seemed to be intelligent enough to monitor him and gauge his threat first before engaging itself in a fight against him. Probably it was surprised that he could evade its surprise attack, he guessed.
But all of these didn't really matter for him. A humongous and special snake like this might just be able to finally stimulate himself and arouse his desire to fight and improve in the Martial Way!
Liu Guanyi rushed toward the snake and went toward its body. The snake reacted quickly as it launched its head to anticipate his charge, its movement was extremely accurate that he wouldn't be able to evade the collision.
But suddenly, Liu Guanyi's body completely stopped for a split second, and then by charging his legs with inner energy, he changed his direction, making the snake miss him by a hair.

With his superhuman capabilities, Liu Guanyi easily dodged past it and jumped over it instead, advancing toward the snake at an extremely fast pace. Seeing this, the snake curled up its body, turtling itself in a defensive stance.
Knowing what the snake was up to, Liu Guanyi created dozens of bangs that merged into a massive bang of shinsu on each of his hands as he jumped in front of the snake's massive head. One of the two balls became extremely dark while the other one extremely bright as if it was a small sun.
Then, he pushed his hands and launched the dark and bright ball at its head.

The bright ball exploded right at the snake's snout, shrouding it in bright light that illuminated the dark tunnel as it hissed and trembled in pain before the dark ball immediately struck it afterward.
The previously bright light was instantly swallowed by darkness as the hiss of the snake and any noise in the area were somehow muffled, bringing an odd silence as the snake was engulfed in a big explosion.
When the explosion vanished, the snake revealed its bloody and burnt body, especially its head. It looked at Liu Guanyi and coiled its front body like a metal spring. Akin to an arrow released from a taut bowstring, the snake launched its head toward the tiny human with its jaws open wide, showing its massive serrated teeth.
Liu Guanyi slid out of the way as the snake's jaws hit and crushed the rocky ground, causing another quake in the tunnel as a few pebbles fell from the ceiling.
Using this opportunity, Liu Guanyi climbed to the snake's neck and was about to deliver a powerful elbow slam-
Before the snake rolled its long body around, making him fall to the ground with its massive and heavy body ready to crush him into mush. Reacting quickly, Liu Guanyi pulled out his needles and covered them with shinsu.
Then, he shot them to the ceiling of the tunnel with his reel inventory and pulled himself out of the way as a second after, the snake body crushed the ground he was previously at.
