Chapter Two
Once arrived at Mr Price huge mansion Duncan informs me my room is ready for me. I have my own bathroom connected to my room which i will occupy until i can find my own apartment.
"Miss Reed you can go have a shower and change in to something comfortable while Ben plates the food up"
"Thank you, but i dont really know where im going Mr Price"
"Call me Duncan, ill show you your room and then tomorrow ill give you a tour of the mansion so you know where everything is"
"Thanks for everything Duncan, call me Aurora" i say as i follow duncan up the long passage way of stairs.
"ive got you on the first floor, the same floor im on incase you ever need my help or get confused, im just along the corridor"
We walk towards my room, Duncan helping me carry my bags of goodies to my room. Duncan leaves me to get sorted and have a shower. I have a quick five minute shower and get dried. I decide just to wear a pair of grey jogging bottoms and a matching grey ober sized cropped hoody.
I make my way downstairs where Duncan is waiting for me and we head towards the dining room. The table is full of chinese food, i love chinese food. Theres plates full of different kinds of chow main, chicken, beef, duck, spring rolls, ribs, chips, omlates, prawn toast, chicken toast, curry, gravy, vegetables and prawn crackers. With a bowl of broth infront of three seats so we can put our own bits of food in. Theirs a place for me, Duncan and Ben the butler.
Im seated at my place and theirs a big cyan leopard print box placed next to me with my name on. The box is huge.
"Everyone dig in, Aurora id like you to meet Ben, hes my butler and now he is also your butler as your my secretary. I also have 4 kitchen staff which alternate days, 9 cleaners one for each floor pluss extra pairs of hands. I have sent everyone else to their chambers or they have gone home so we can discuss things you may be confused about. You will meet everyone else on friday as theyve also got the day off tomorrow as we will be busy. Ben has offered to help us in the tour and driving us where we need to go as he lives here with me."
"I honestly dont know what to say, this is all overwhelming for me."
After everyone is finished with their meals i offer to clean up and all three of us are cleaning the empty dishes away and the left over food is made in to 6 meals for the workers that live here.
I cant find Duncan then 5 minutes layer he comes back and informs me the box is on my bed if im ready to go to bed as theirs alot to do tomorrow. We make our way to my room.
"Well Aurora hope you like all of your gifts and ill see you in the morning, have a good sleep."
"Thanks Mr Price, you too, see you in the morning."
"Call me Duncan, Aurora, good night"
"good night Duncan."
I make my way over to my bed and i open the box, their are 20 gifts wrapped up and then my office supplies and clothing is seperate.

My office welcome starter kit;
An information booklet
A contract of what weve spoke about
A pair of each black and grey trowsers
A black and grey skirt
A white shirt
A black and grey dress
A £100 office supplies voucher
A work schedule
A Duncans enterprise work book
A key to my desk
And a log in password for my work computer
WOW i cant accept all of this. Its currently 1am. I walk along to Duncans room and knock on the door.
"Sorry if i woke you sir but i cant accept all of this its way to much, all i need is whats included in the work bundle, its all too heavy for me to carry along to you. Thank you so much though."
"Aurora its gifts from me and Ben to help you start up your life here at New York, i hope you like everything we got you, and the check is to help towards rent on an appartment."
"Still i cant accept it all, i dont know what to say appart from thank you."
"Now Aurora all of the items are now yours, do as you wish with them, you best get some sleep as weve got a busy day ahead of us tomorrow."
As i walk back along to my room i can hear the thunder storm getting louder and louder. I hate thunder storms. So i quickly get to my room and place everything in to the box on the floor, i get in to a pair of pyjamas and get in to bed.
My room has a white queen size bed with king size quilt, two white bed side tables, two bedside lamps, a double white wardrobe, a white 4 draw cupboard with a tv on top and a door way to the landing and a door way to my own bathroom.
Its currently 8am and i make my way down stairs to make some cereal for breakfast. I bump in to ben.
"So sorry Ben and thank you so much for the gifts but i cant accept them. Its just so much."
"Its fine Miss Price dont worrie about it and those gifts are to help you out with anything you shall need as i seen you only come with a bag pack."
"Thanks Ben, this all means so much to me."
"Its my pleasure Miss Price, we will be leaving at 12 noon to go shopping for bits that youll need for work or every day life."
Its now 8.45 am after 45 minute chat with Ben its time to start getting ready for the day ahead. I decide to turn the phone on and there is 2 contacts saved, Duncan and Ben. Theirs also a text of Duncan.
"Good morning Aurora, im just going to run a few errands before i go to the gym ill be back about 9.45am. Hope you had a good sleep."
"Good morning, thanks again Duncan for everything, i didnt sleep very good due to the thunder storm i hate them."
"Ah i see your awake ive been waiting for you to message ill be on my way home in 15 minutes, see you soon."
I decide to have a quick shower, put my hair in a half scalplat and half pony tail and get ready in my new clothes that Ben got me with my white converse trainers. I put everything i have recieved in its designated places. I put my gift cards and checks in my purse, a note book and pen in my bag. I place all my office bits in my draws. I place my snacks, pop and goodies of the aero plane in my mini fridge thats in my room.
I head down stairs and wait in the sitting room for Duncan and Ben to arrive so we can go shopping. Im excited. I decide to check my emails and i havent heard anything back yet from the appartments so i spply for another 5 in a different appartment block thats 10 minutes away from work.
Duncan arrives home and lets me know hes going to have a shower and freshen up then he will show me around the mansion which consits of 8 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, 2 toilet rooms, one huge kitchen, 2 reception rooms, a games room, a huge office, 2 library rooms, a indoor swimming pool, a gym and a sauner. Plus a basement, a wine cellar and many more rooms.
Outside is 150 acres of land with a river flowing through, fruit trees, outdoor swimming pool, a huge garrage with loads of cars and the quarters for the staff.
The mansion is huge 5 stories high, looks kind of like a castle a modern castle. Why does someone who lives practically alone need so much space.
Duncan lets me know i might be staying here a few month as some places it takes a couple of months to be accepted to a place to live which is fine i can stay here as long as i need. Why is everyone been so nice to me. Finally on the right path of life and doing what i want to do.
Its time to head in to town to do some shopping...
