1 Chapter 1

"Help..."

Ashton called, pain radiating across his body as he lay in a pull of blood. One moment he was riding down the street on his bicycle, off of the road as well. He was listening to his Beats headphones, enjoying the cloudy and cool day. Until a truck ruined it by ragdolling him 12 feet into the air. Now here he laid, slowly dying due to broken bones and blood lost. Worst of all? He was dying a virgin at the ripe old age of 30!

'God...I'm such a disappointment...' He thought as his eyes slowly closed, darkness creeping into the corners of his eyes. He could vaguely hear the sirens of police and the ambulance coming from a distance. By the time that his eyes had been closed it was already too late, Ashton was dead. His corpse being paler than normal and his body going limp. Normally this is the part when someone goes into the afterlife, whether it be Heaven or Hell. Unfortunately for Ashton, someone had other plans.

For a moment, there was silence around Ashton, as if there was nothing but a void. He could hear and see nothing, then he started to feel warm. The next thing he heard were the cries of a woman and the muffled sounds of some kind if robotic voice. He didn't understand what he was hearing, only that they were getting closer and closer. Ashton tried to move his legs, but they felt too heavy. He wanted to open his eyes but it felt hard and painful to do so. It wouldn't be long before he felt the top of his head press against something soft, then be almost forcefully pushed outwards. Cool air greeted him as the sounds of the woman crying could be heard more clearly. The robotic voice was far more prevalent now than it already was. Sadly, it was speaking in a dialect that he didn't understand.

Eventually, Ashton's entire body was out of whatever he was in. When he tried to open his eyes this time, he let out a yelp that sounded more like a baby. It no longer hurt to open his eyes, but it hurt to look out of them. The only thing that he made out from his brief time of having his eyes open were blinding lights and a bed. He could feel something holding him, it had a firm but gentle grasp on him as it wrapped him up in something. After several moments of being moved about, he felt something soft grab a hold of him. It was like he was being gently cradled like a child. When he tried to open his eyes this time, he was met with a beautiful face staring back down at him. It was a woman unlike any other, she had pale white skin, glistening lips, cloud white eyes that seemed to shine, and long solver hair. Ashton could tell from the blurry amalgamation before him was a woman. Though as far as to what was happening he hadn't a clue. He tried to move a hand up to see if she was real, though he couldn't. His arms were underneath the towel that he was wrapped up in.

He heard a deep and charismatic voice approaching, as to who it belonged to Ashton couldn't tell. His eyes closed once more, he was fading in and out of consciousness. All of the sudden, he was met with a the urge to sleep. Even as a soft plush like object was pushed against his face. He felt something akin to a pacifier being pushed upon his lips. Instinctively he began to suck on it, that was when it all started to settle in for him. He had died and been reincarnated as a baby....

'I know damn well that I did not just get Isekai'd!', He thought with irritation, 'This ain't right, like why me?! I'm average I don't even care much for....okay actually I care alot for Star Wars but still!'

As those thoughts came to him he had a sudden thought as to where he could be. If he was actually in Star Wars then what era was he in? How would he know if he was in Star Wars? Was he a fictional character? Did that mean that he wasn't real? What even is real?!

As those questions mounted up inside of him, he felt himself beginning to float weightlessly once again. This time he could hear the sounds of water all around him, as if he were near a waterfall. When he opened his eyes this time, he was met with a large body of water in every direction. It was still, except for the massive waterfall behind him. It sent the water down into an endless abyss to god knows where. Ashton felt his feet touched the water, walking on it as if it were solid ground. He was bewildered, with everything going on this was the most confusing. "Sorry for bringing you here unannounced but I wanted to get a few things out of the way before you started on your journey." A voice that sound both male and female said. There was no one for miles upon miles, so whomever spoke was a disembodied voice.

"Who said that?" Ashton questioned and almost demanded, his tone sounding rather calm all things considered. "Well, that is hard to explain for I am everything within this universe so to speak", The voice stated, "You may know me quite well, considering that you are very knowledgeable about my universe. I am what is known as the Force, the energy field that surrounds and flows through all living things. I am the collective consciousness of over a billion souls formed into one so that we may speak. I am sure that you have many questions so please ask them while you are here."

Ashton didn't know what to say, if what this being said was true then he was in the Star Wars universe. Then again that wasn't to say it explained which one that he was in. That said, it didn't deter him from asking the million dollar question that come to the forefront of his mind.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why me?"

That questioned caused the Force to muse, thinking of a reasonable response. Though what it said next caused Ashton mind to go blank. "Because you are new."

That sentence explained nothing, all it told Ashton was that the Force just wanted him. A stray thought came to mind, one that allowed him to theorize that the Force simply didn't want to tell him.

"That is not true, I simply believe that time will tell." It said, reading his thoughts.

Ashton frowned and almost made a scowl, he had heard those sort of words numerous times. He's both read them and watched them in many movies and books. Each reason ranging from learning or simply feeling the need to leave the character in the dark. Well he was not in the mood to be in either of those situations. "If you brought me here then there is a reason, if you won't tell me then I won't play your games." Ashton said with declaration and a hint of annoyance. The Force simply sighed before the world morphed around Ashton. The sea that which he had been standing on was beginning to push him back to the abyss. "You are new because I have never sensed a being like you before", The Force began to explain, "The Force does not flow through you and yet you have power that I have never seen before...I am curious as to what you are truly capable of when the time comes."

Those were the last few words that Ashton heard from the Force before he fell over into the abyss. Darkness consumed him, causing him to wake back into the real world. If he still had his adult body he would have jolted upwards. Instead, he looked around with labored breathing. His eyes landing on the bars of a baby cradle. Then they traveled towards a the same woman from before. His new mother if what the Force said was true. After much thought, Ashton deduced that the woman's species was a Near-Human. To be specific about it, she was most likely an Echani. One of the few underrated species both in old and new canon for Star Wars. Well he wasn't sure that the Disney Star Wars brand actually had Echani, none were never seen there or even spoken about. This meant that he was most likely in the old canon of Star Wars, or both combined into one.

As he calmly thought about his current predicament, Ashton couldn't truly get angry. Well for one he was a baby, and the second was because what could he do? Anger wouldn't help, and the Force's words about his apparent unique power intrigued him. What exactly did it mean? Did it mean that he had superpowers rather than the Force?

Before he could mentally shower himself with even more questions a haunting thought occurred in his mind. He was in Star Wars....and hadn't a clue as to what year it was. If he was before or after the Clone Wars then his chances of survival may have been slim to none. There were so many dangers in Star Wars that it wasn't just Jedi and Sith that he'd have to worry about. The thought actually got his new mother's attention. She had turned and gave him a warm smile as she approached him. The Echani spoke a few words in an unknown dialect. He was still unable to understand what she was saying, but he could feel this warm sensation entering him. It was easing his thoughts, soothing away his fear.

Ashton didn't need to be a beating man to know that the woman was Force Sensitive. Though he was curious as to why she wasn't with any known Jedi or Sith. That line of thought ended when he felt her lift him out of his cradle. She held him close to her chest as she wore a loose fighting nightgown. The apparel reaching down to her shins and sporting a white color pallete. She carried Ashton out of the room that they were in, and down the hall. Ashton could see that they were in a hallway, the squirming that he did to get a better view of his environment causing a few words to leave his mother's lips. Ashton turned his gaze to look back up at her, finding her eyeing him curious.

He was curious as to why she was looking at him like that, then realized that it was because he wasn't acting like a baby. Actually, technically speaking he was acting so abnormal that she may have been worried about him. Ashton didn't really know how to "act the part". After all he was suppose to be a baby once, not twice. As the two came out of a hallway, Ashton held up his baby hand when he felt the warmth of the sun coming down upon him. The sun's light blinding him for a moment, before he felt his vision adjust. He could hear a male voice shouting and the sounds of moving about. His gaze landed on a caramel colored man who was shirtless and had quite the physique. He had short black hair and was issuing orders to other men, women, and droids alike. They were all tending to a farm, working together as one.

Ashton watched with curiosity, and saw that the man noticed both he and his mother. The man immediately grew an estactic grin upon his face, then waved at them. Ashton's new mother returned the wave and spoke a few words to him. Still not sure what she was saying, he assumed that she was asking him to wave back at him. As Ashton moved his small hand to wave at the man, he could only presume that this man was his father. It wouldn't make sense otherwise why out of everyone he was the one singled out by his mother.

Ashton hadn't been thinking on his current life quite yet. It was like he was still processing it all. It wasn't every day that one dies, gets reborn, and is told that they may have powers that haven't been seen before by a cosmic entity. To say that he was stressed out was a major understatement. The fact of the matter is that he was reborn in a world that he either knew or didn't. He wasn't as adverse when it came down to Star Wars, though it didn't mean that he didn't read any of the books or comics. Well when it came to old canon anyway, as for as new canon he has only ever seen the movies and TV shows. The only character whom he remembered fondly in the new canon was Ahsoka Tano, a well written character.

Back to the problem at hand however, Ashton was in need of a plan. A long-term plan for the future, since he knew of many future events that may or may not happen. For one thing, he needed to stir clear of Anakin Skywalker and the Skywalker family in general. They were like "Bad Luck" incarnate, with everyone else around them suffering for being there. The next thing would be obvious, never to associate himself with the Jedi or Sith. Or at least not fall into either philosophy, for both were too dogmatic. It's not that he hates them, far from it. It's just that he'd fall in the middle of their forever war like everyone else has. Of course, this wasn't to say that he wasn't against becoming partners with them if the need arose.

Now for the plan that he had in mind, learn how to unlock his unique power. If he wasn't connected to the Force like everyone else then his mother was most certainly aware of that fact. For now his power seemed to be dormant, unwilling to come out. That was fine by him, he didn't want to go about trying to understand something that he clearly doesn't know about. The Star Wars galaxy was paved with many opportunities to both rise and fall. Ashton planned to rise, whether it be through bloodshed or hand in hand with others.
