43 The loot house

The slums were confusing, and it took some time for Kaji to find the place he wanted to find, which was old man Rom's place. Well, he assumed it was the place, after all, he didn't really know it was the correct place, and most people from the slums didn't talk to him. But while walking toward the said house, Kaji saw Emilia walking towards a different house, which looked similar to the one he wanted to go to.

Emilia was standing in front of a wooden house that looked like it had seen better days. She heard from Reinhard, that a boy told him that Emilia should stay away from the slum, and the loot house, but she decided to check it out just in case. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door of the said house, while Kaji looked at her from afar.

But then she heard a shout from inside. "Don't open it!" A trembling voice could be hard from inside the loot house. "W-we'll be killed!" A voice filled with panic sounded once again. But the voice was ignored and the door slowly started opening in front of Emilia.

Emilia was a bit confused, by the voice she heard but the moment the doors to the loot house were opened she spoke. "Kill you? I wouldn't do something so terrifying." Emilia said as she entered the house with a light frown on her face. Subaru and Felt were surprised, while old man Rom just looked at this situation with a bit of caution.

Seeing Emilia enter the house, Kaji assumed that that was the house where all the action would be happening, as he started walking towards the house. After a couple of moments, he reached the house and peered inside to her Subaru shout.

"Puck Shield her!" Resounded in the room, Puck appeared and created a shield of ice behind Emilia, protecting her from a descending blade. Seeing this, Kaji stepped in through the door and looked at Elsa who, after the failed strike, jumped over everyone and landed on the other side of the room.

"A spirit…..that's a spirit, Yes?" Elsa asked while looking at Puck, who was sitting on Emilia's shoulder.

"Ufufu, how wonderful. I have never dissected a spirit's stomach before." She said but then she saw Kaji step into the house, this made her widen her eyes.

"Ahhh, It's you, the boy in the forest, I remember you ah." The moment Elsa saw Kaji, she started blushing while moaning from time to time. But instead of looking at Elsa, everyone turned their heads toward Kaji, Who was looking around the place, like Elsa didn't even matter much to him.

While Kaji looked around he saw a giant that was standing at a towering 7'3, though his hunchback-like style of walking makes him look shorter. He has white strands of hair lining his eyebrows and is bald. He wears a sleeveless vest and possesses a crimson symbol across the left side of his head.

Kaji recognized him as Rom, then he saw a blond girl, Emilia, and Subaru who was only looking at Elsa with confusion and fear. But then Emila spoke when she saw the familiar figure of Kaji. "Kaji you're here too?!" She asked with clear relief in her voice.

"Yeah, I decided to walk around town, and I didn't expect to run into someone familiar." Kaji said as he looked at Elsa who started to fidget a bit. But someone wasn't happy with the situation.

"What do you mean by that? We had an agreement!" Felt shouted at Elsa who then looked at her.

"I change my mind, after all, how could we negotiate if the original owner is also here, and I will simply kill all of you here." She said while turning to Kaji as her breathing seemed to quicken.

Felt wanted to say something, but Elsa charged at Kaji who was waiting for her to come at him for a while now. "Emilia go and talk things out with the nice people over there, while I play with the lady here." Kaji said as a katana-looking sword appeared in his left hand, blocking an incoming strike from Elsa.

Kaji looked at Elsa and Smiled. He wanted to see if she was stronger than the last time they crossed blades. After all, some time has passed, and she should have trained after losing to him right, at least Kaji was hoping she did. Because if she didn't become stronger than before it would be disappointing. And it wouldn't be much of a challenge, if she was the same as last time. After all, Kaji was always growing, polishing his swordsmanship, exercising, and mastering all of his skills to the highest degree.

And he was hoping that Elsa would play with him, even if for a bit. After blocking the string from Elsa, Kaji kicked trying to get her right in the solar plexus, but Elsa managed to jump back just in time, to narrowly avoid the kick, but while jumping back she tried to slash his leg with her blade. But unfortunately for her, Kaji moved his sword and blocked her slash with his sword once again.
