You will probably never take me back

The Haitani brothers were already in the elevator when Sanzu rushed into it before the doors could close. He adjusted his coat and clicked the number for HR's floor level. "HR again Sanzu? Very interesting." Rindou inquired. Haruchiyo just laughed it off and shook his head. Nervous energy stopped his ability to even form an excuse. When the elevator doors opened all three men stepped out onto HR's floor. "What're you two doing? Seriously?" Haruchiyo asked in an exasperated tone. "We're coming with you obviously. You've been a sketchball all week. Consider us interested in whatever has you in a panic." Ran flung his arm around Sanzu, smiling big. It might not be a bad idea....it might be helpful to have them...just in case, right?

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Just neither of you say anything about it, I don't need to hear either of you rag on me for this." The brothers followed Sanzu as he headed to Tantei's desk. The older man had a cardbox box he handed to Sanzu, "Here, carry this to the car for me." He eyed the other two men accompanying them for their ride, then headed back to the elevator. They made it to the basement level of the building, walking through the parking lot until they reached an old brown hatchback. The vehicle didn't stand out at all, just blended into its surroundings. Bonten's men had all walked by it at first without realizing it. The PI got in the driver's side, Sanzu in the passenger, and the brothers in the back. The car was started and they headed to their destination.

The car ride had been silent until Tantei parked his car and pointed towards an old brick apartment complex on their right. "I've been following your target for the past couple of days. It was actually harder to locate the individual than I had originally anticipated but I love a good cat and mouse chase."

"Target?" Ran asked, then Rindou spoke up finishing his brother's sentence, "You talking about that car in front of the entrance?" he squinted his eyes not having his glasses on him, "Dude it looks like a cop."

"What?" Sanzu's mind was buzzing with too many thoughts and now everything was going too fast.

Alright number one: this is where Y/n has been living. How long has she been back in Japan? Number two: there's a car parked by the entrance, looks like a cop car, alright the guy's getting out of the car. Dressed like a cop, driving a cop car, probably a cop.

Haruchiyo turned to the PI, "Is she a fucking informant?"

Ran, Rindou, and Tantei all exclaimed huh at the same time. "You're going too fast kid. Gimme the box," Sanzu handed him the cardboard box he had been keeping by his feet. Tantei pulled out a file labeled apartment, "Ms. Shiro has been living in this apartment building," he pointed back to the brick building, "for the last five years. She pays her rent every month, using her own bank account under her real name. She applied for the apartment in her real name too. If she was an informant," Tantei began shaking his head, "she wouldn't have stayed in the same place for so long under the same name."

The ex-detective began to rub in between his eyes as Sanzu snatched the folder from him. She's been here this entire time. She wasn't gone forever; she's been right here this entire time. "What's the deal with the cop then.... if she isn't a snitch?" Ran cut off Haruchiyo's thought process.

The PI was prepared and pulled out another file from his box, this one wasn't labeled only had a red sticker pointing out of it, "That isn't a cop," he pointed to the man that was now leaning onto the roof of his car in front of the brick building, "that is a detective. Tachibana Naoto is a detective in the organized crime department of the Tokyo Police Department. That runt is currently one of the lead investigators on the Bonten case." The car was silent, until the sound of two guns cocking in the back seat filled the space. "Let's fucking kill him now." Rindou spoke up his voice peppered in excitement. He rolled his window down so he wouldn't shatter any glass when he took his shot. Sanzu put his hand up to silence the men in the back seat that were getting rowdy. "Put your guns away. I have more fucking questions." he turned his attention to Tantei pointing towards the young detective, "What was that you said about her not being a fucking snitch?"

"Listen there's a chance she could be an informant alright. But to me nothing in her day-to-day life even suggests she could be giving the cops information about you. She works, sleeps, and goes to that coffee shop right there. The past three days she only left her place to go to work. The only reason I connected her to the detective was through her phone records. I've been doing this long-time boy, and I was a detective myself. If that was my informant, I wouldn't have her walking around with the same name in the same place for five years! It makes no sense."

What the fuck is going on? I mean I know I fucked up, monumentally fucked up, but she's talking to the police? I told her what happens to traitors I mean what the...

"The piggy is on the move." Sanzu turned his attention to the detective. The man, the fuck was his name ah Tachibana, had straightened up and was unbuttoning the top three buttons from his dress shirt. He also rolled up his sleeves above his forearms, then ran his fingers through his hair. He was looking towards the front doors that had just begun to open.

And for Sanzu time stood still.

Y/n stepped out of the brick apartment complex; she looks the same. She looks just like I remember, I mean sure she's grown up a little but I mean she really does look just as beautiful as she did the day I met her. The slow motion picture of her stepping out the front door began to speed up at a sickening speed.

Y/n looked left and then right quickly and her eyes landed on Naoto. A smile beamed on her face, he looks so fucking good when he gets out of work, and she ran, jumping up for him to catch her. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, legs around his waist, and kissed him deeply. He had been so busy with work this week she didn't have the chance to see him at all. Late night phone calls when he got home from work were their only option temporarily. She pulled at his hair and he smiled into her lips. "I missed you too baby." He held onto her, hands grabbing her firmly and he started walking towards the passenger seat. "Naoto let's go inside for a little bit." she whined but wiggled her brows.

"We have all night for that, let's enjoy date night please." he replied sternly. Y/n hopped down from his arms and grabbed his keys from his pocket. "Let me drive!" she held the keys out of his reached. They were back in front of the car and he pulled her close, kissing her forehead and taking the keys back. "No, get in the car." he smacked her ass hard as he walked past her to get into the driver's seat.
