"Because of the attacks and the disasters, people grew dissatisfied with the royal family and the nobility. The Marquis household and some of the noble families fell into decline.

The people who declined were mostly the royalist faction which was spearheaded by Nathaniel and the Vinea patriarch. She didn't entirely know what happened in the political war since their household was already destroyed anyway, and there is no way to gain direct information aside from gossip.

"The Duke of Agera wasn't the lord Lukas either. It was someone else. His title was more like a prince or something like that, but he was always not around. There was a time when his grace had returned from somewhere else, and he was a complete mess. He even tried to kill the royal family. Or that's what I heard."
