Monster and a Devil

"Do you want to go inside?" Lukas looked down at me.

"Is it okay?"

This is his house, after all. I'm kind of excited to see what's inside.

"Let's go," and he pulled me again to lead me to the wide-open door.

The first things I noticed were the shiny marble floor and the cavernous grand hall with high ceilings and towering columns. It took my breath away when I saw the huge floor-to-ceiling window upfront where the sunlight was beaming to light up the place.

Woah...

It was a huge house and, how do I say this, very empty?

Despite the grandness, it has an air of destitution.

The Herman Manor is also humongous. The difference is that you can feel that there are people living there. The moment you enter, you will see a lot of people already doing their own business, setting the house alive.
