A Treat pt. 1

So I'm back in the palace. Since I am the saintess' companion, and she's staying here as an esteemed guest, I also have to stay so I don't have to travel back and forth and exhaust myself.

'It hasn't been that long since I returned home, but I'm here again.'

"Oh, well…"

*Knock Knock*

The sound of knocking made me turn my head to the closed window.

"That guy…"

No one else would knock at this hour except for him.

'Don't tell me he's going to stay in my room again.'

I stood up from the chair and went to the window to open it. Sure enough, Lukas popped out from the shadows and casually came in without even asking if he was welcome.

He sat on his favorite couch and smiled at me.

"Good evening."

"Why are you here?"

Lukas brushed his disheveled hair back with his fingers.

"Are you not tired of asking the same question?"

"I am."

"Then you should already know the answer."
