A Cold Return...

~ A couple of days later on planet Vegeta, Omni Pov... ~

.

"I can't believe it... You've done it Vegeta... YOU'VE FINALLY TURNED INTO THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN!!!" The king praised his son.

The Prince however looked into the nearby mirror to inspect his changes... Seeing the golden embrace and the gentleness of his emerald eyes, he thought...

'Beautiful... I saw the form up close from my father, but truly it is a majestic transformation...' P. Vegeta thought.

P. Vegeta looked down and clenched his hands at the sheer difference in power quantity and quality of his chi...

"I'm sure you feel it, son... The power of legends... It courses through our bloodlines veins... Truly its power is awesome and ethereal..." The king said, walking closer to his son.

P. Vegeta nodded at his father's words.

However, the prince had second thoughts...

'Is such a legend even meant for bloodshed?... Its power and change are as close to angelic as a form can get...' P. Vegeta pondered...

The king on another hand seeing his son not as excited stooped to his son's level.

"What is the problem P. Vegeta? This is a joyous occasion. Why do you look so, worried?" The king asked.

Vegeta closed his eyes...

"Father... Remember all those months ago we felt an incredible power out in space... I feel like nothing... Your power in your strongest form, I remember was around 150 Billion, possibly a little more. Recently that same power that resurfaced was far greater now than ever before... I fear that It could even match you..." The prince stated.

The king stepped back and sighed.

'He speaks the truth... I am not sure if it is a Tuffle or an Arcosian that siked that high...' The king thought.

"You are correct my son... We can only train to get stronger from here. Or motto is to be above the rest, so we need to train 10-fold more to overcome whatever being that was" The king said.

The price looked upset still.

"It angers me, father... To think that something of unknown strengths and weaknesses could achieve that level of power... and not only that, it was the same energy that we sensed all those months ago... I feel it will come to haunt us.." The prince said.

The king listened to his son carefully, finding no fault in his reasoning or concerns...

"I understand Vegeta. I wil-"

*Knock!* Knock!*

'Tch!' The king thought.

"WHAT IS IT? IF THIS ISN'T IMPORTANT, PREPARE YOURSELF TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES" The king said with venom in his voice, irritated to no end.

The saiyan soldier quickly stepped in.

"M-my Lord! I-It is, it is Da-Daiko!! He's returned!!!" The saiyan elite stuttered as if he couldn't believe what he was saying earlier.

Both the king and the prince looked at each other.

"WHAT!?" Both the king and Vegeta shouted, in unison...

~ Darles' and the Queens Pov... ~

"That's... That's impossible... The boy couldn't possibly be alive after going on that planet. The conditions are far too unforgiving, even for the king himself." The queen said.

Darles looked up to her queen in shock.

'It's true, there's no way he 'should' be alive... Did he simply get that much more powerful? Or did he abandon the mission... No, that's impossible, coming back after abandoning a mission is essentially a death wish...' Darles thought to herself.

"It's true my queen, he really has returned, his ship is coming down now as we speak!" The guard said to her.

The queen's eyebrows furrowed in hesitancy...

"Alright, I'll be going down soon. The King has been informed as well I presume?" She asked.

"Yes, my queen. I went to him first!" The saiyan stated.

Hearing this, she put on her royal cape.

"Darles, come with me." The queen said.

"Yes!" Darles responded quickly, getting properly dressed as well...

~ Daiko's Pov... ~

"Damn, do I miss planet Vegeta... nothing is better than its hellish-looking atmosphere," I said to myself.

As I took my ship from autopilot mode, I manually rode it down.

As I did so, I saw a crowd of saiyans waiting down there...

'What the? Is there a special occasion or something?' However. I focused my energy to sense those below...

As I finished, an unknown smile crept unto my face.

'Well, well... I wouldn't blame them, seeing me now would be akin to seeing a ghost, literally. I clearly wasn't supposed to survive, nor was I supposed to finish my mission this early either." I said to myself.

As I grew closer to the landing area, more saiyans, mostly elites showed up as they had info about the mission I was sent on. They must be equally surprised to see me...

I think I sense Bardock down there too, really I feel like the main character today. I let out a small chuckle...

But finally, my ship finally landed...

*FWISH!~*

I quickly docked it... Then walked towards the ship's exit with the biggest grin on my face...

~ Omni Pov... ~

"It's really his ship..." The king said.

"But that's impossible... with his battle power, he should be dead as soon as he arrived there..." The prince said.

Darles, hearing the prince speak, said nothing, she only silently observed the ship and waited for whoever it is to come out...

'No... It's not possible... The young one couldn't possibly be alive...' The queen thought, her light brown eyes betraying her stoic features.

As the ship only exit smoked, it then opened.

Everyone seeing the person who exited was shocked...

'No... it couldn't be... he truly survived that hellish planet?' The king thought, his mind going a mile minute, trying to comprehend the situation.

Covered in teetered clothing was Daiko. His height now surpassed that of Prince Vegeta, as well as his disturbingly developed musculature for his size. His eyes had a tang of wildness to them now even colder and sharper looking than before...

His face looked like that of a seasoned war veteran who just completed his very last mission on the toughest of terrains and harshest of conditions thought possible.

And on that seasoned face, dawned was a proud grin. As if it was screaming to them that 'I survived'...

"My king... My queen, Darles... and Prince Vegeta... A pleasure to see you all" Daiko spoke.

They all broke out of their stupor...

But the king wasn't having it...

"How..." The king asked.

"How what my king? I completed the mission. I conquered the planet as you said I should. Right now if you go back there, only the animals remain, they taste great too" Daiko said, his face serious, but his tone saying otherwise.

Seeing the slight remarks, the King powered up. He then walked towards the boy.

However, someone else wouldn't let this foolishness continue...

"No! Leave the boy alone, he has just returned from his mission allow him to r-"

*SLAP!*

"SHUT UP WOMAN, BEFORE I LEAVE THIS PLANET WITHOUT A QUEEN!!!" The king shouted. He looked at Daiko as if he was seeing his biggest fear arise. The thing that wasn't meant to be.

Darles seeing the queen being treated this way quickly turned towards the king.

However, just as she was about to say something, Bardock had stopped, shaking his head in a disapproving manner.

The prince's eyes twitched seeing his mother handled like that... But he would let it go for now...

Daiko turned seeing the queen on the floor with blood in her mouth, ignoring the king's advance.

A slight tick appeared on his head, but no one could notice.

Daiko then made his way toward her stooping to her fallen body...

"I'm sorry for you trying to protect me..." Daiko said. Staring into the queen's eyes.

The king, seeing that the child ignore him, then transformed quickly. His anger reached a boiling point.

"TURN AROUND YOU LOW-CLASS SCUM! TELL ME! HOW DID YOU SURVIVE!!!" The King said, no longer caring about his image.

He then walked forward toward the boy.

Bardock seeing this, shook his head, staring at the king with disappointment, but he was now getting ready to step in soon...

However. That changed quickly.

In an instant, the aura around the atmosphere shifted to a grass-green texture. Surprising everyone close by, but the entire planet...

Daiko then released his suppressed energy... Shocking everyone to their very core.

Unconsciously they started to sweat as if their bodies were telling them that whatever was about to awaken is not a mere 'saiyan'...

But the King pressed forward, albeit, far slower than he did before...

'That energy... why is his power that immense in only his base form???' The king thought, and so did everyone around. They wondered how Daiko was releasing energy pressure rivaling most super-elite's transformed states...

Not only that... it was rising...

"Let me tell you something King... you are no longer the strongest on your planet... I'd suggest you tread carefully..." Daiko said, giving the fool another chance.

Hearing these words. The king became frustrated.

However just as he was about to say anything.

The prince decided to step in. For once, he was following what his instincts told him to do. He could see that Daiko had changed considerably, not only his presence but his personality, having an edge to it, one he would not like to be the end of...

His instincts seeing the by in person told him one thing... And that was to not anger Daiko...

"Father... We shouldn't do this now. We can both question him la-"

"SILENCE BOY!!!" The king shouted, directing his killing intent towards his son.

The king further transformed, ascending to super saiyan 2. Wild blue arcs of electricity sparking off him now.

"You still think you are the strongest boy? You dare to think you can challenge me!?" The king said, his fury lowering into a fit of focused anger.

Daiko on the other hand, said nothing to the king. He then looked towards the queen...

"I'm sorry..." He said.

Then he walked towards the king. His aura now leaked an intense green glow, skyrocketing far past the hundreds of Millions to the Billions if one calculated the increase...

Now even the king was concerned...

'*TCH!* How can his regular power be 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 high... Has he transformed already? No, that's impossible... The transformation of legend is what I possess, his hair is still raven black... How?' The king thought.

But he wasn't going to back down, he was still stronger, more than twice over. A large enough power difference to instantly kill the opposing foe.

Daiko's energy to the king's dismay only kept rising... As if his power was adapting to the pressure the king was releasing.

Without recount. Veins started to appear on Daiko's head. His body ever so slightly bulked up as a result of his anger towards the king. Not only to his child but also to his wife...

.

.

.

[15.3 Billion...]

[16.6 Billion...]

.

.

.

Arcs of green electricity ran out of Daiko's visage... His power shifted the very atmosphere into a dark green tinge... The clouds began to darken as a result of his power... Lighting struck as his power increased due to his anger.

It was clear to them the boy wasn't transformed, yet his strength was rising like there was no end to it as if it was threatening to overflow from his small physique, and the increase was getting larger and larger as the moments passed...

.

.

.

[17.1 Billion...]

[19.4 Billion...]

.

.

.

Everyone was getting worried. The king took a step back at Daiko's glowing, sharp, and intimidating gaze... He felt as if he was being suppressed, even though he was stronger...

Clearly, this boy wasn't the same being all those months ago. The boy whose power not even breaking 100 thousand, now was doing so easily in the Billions, and rising sharply with his boiling temper.

But now the king and everyone could recognize it... This power... it was from Daiko. The energy outburst from all those months ago... The fiendish energy that kept rising without any limit in sight. And now it was standing in front of him...
