50 A Bit of Manipulation Won't Kill You, right?...

~Daiko's Pov, A couple of days later~

Nothing is making sense—absolutely nothing. This 'Peter' guy hasn't shown signs of needing to be executed. Convinced, but not killed. God said I would have a hard time not doing so. But, this all didn't add up...

'I need more information... For god to even intervene, it must be detrimental...' I thought to myself again. I might need to actually step in and snoop around for more info on the guy...

And that wasn't all either, throughout the fight the last couple of nights ago, his moves didn't feel coordinated for someone that was argued to be 'cunning', clever yes, but not really screaming intelligence. Still, I knew he was somewhat testing my capabilities.

I made a mistake not looking at his status, I had underestimated someone god had an issue with. A fatal flaw that I would correct from now on. Now not only that, he knows that I likely have a system as well. But the confrontation wasn't without waste, he might have known I had a system, but I knew even more of his abilities.

I know at least one thing, he isn't afraid to kill, that was for sure. If I didn't have my martial prowess that night, I would have likely been dead. Another reason for ending his existence was now on my list...

"Fuck! I really need to find him, I feel as if I still know nothing..." I grabbed my head in frustration. Not only that, I felt my gut telling me I needed to act quickly. Everything about this situation just felt, off...

*Knock!*

*Knock!*

"Huh? Who could that be?" I quickly went to the entrance of my building, only to smell a familiar scent. Looking through the eyehole, I spotted someone familiar once again...

'Felicia?... Wait a minute... This might be good. I can use her to get to him...' I thought, as much as I don't want to be an asshole or a manipulator, still, she was truly an efficient way to get to my enemy and hit him where it was effective. Why?

He might be planning to move cities soon, especially now that I'm here, and I need that kind of info... Sorry, Felicia. Even though we only knew each other for only a couple of days, it was still pretty fucked to do what I was going to do...

I opened the door with genuine surprise. I didn't think she would actually come so soon, especially since we met once. I just hope she doesn't actually get interested in me, since I won't be staying in this universe...

"It's you again... Need something?" I asked.

"No, I just wanted to repay the favor I owed you from the last couple of days ago. I hate owing others" She said curtly. I felt as if this excuse was overused now/

"Alright, hop in..." I moved out of the way to let her inside.

"So... What do you have planned?" I asked. I needed to get the conversation going. The way Parker was last night made it seem like he was especially close to her, or the opposite.

"Well, nothing much, I was just bored, so... Just small talk for now... Unless... How about this, you ask me something, and I ask you something? Is that cool with you?" She asked. Now I knew her real reason, she was just bored.

"...Sure, we can do that." I told her, following along.

"Well, I'll go first... Where are you from?" She asked.

That one caught me a little off guard...

"That's quite the question, but... Let's just say I'm from the Amazon..." I said, somewhat telling the truth...

"That's interesting... You kinda do look it. Well, it's your turn now, nothing perverted either." She replied, smiling.

I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway, do you have a boyfriend?" I asked, and visibly she stiffened at what I said. I came off a bit strong, but it wasn't anything perverted. I was a stickler for rules after all. Though the slight reaction is noted...

"...I did, but~ I'm single at the moment..." She replied. I, on the other hand, feel like I shouldn't be continuing this line of conversation.

'Ahh shit! I can't do this to her... I'll find another way. I'll ask other questions' I thought resolutely.

"Well, my turn. Are you seeing anyone?" She asked. I thought for a moment.

"No. I'm not. I'm as single as a guy can be..." I said, which was the truth, I had no relationships, not that I didn't really want one, but relationships could be a drag, caring for others take time and physical effort, and it wasn't that anyone wasn't close competitors, like Vegeta's mother, Rosetta.

I was attracted to her, I can admit that proudly. Rosetta, was indeed beautiful, and Darles was equally too, but the latter, she felt like a cute little sister to me, Rosetta felt like a seasoned warrior, toned and sexy, but that's beside the point.

Furthermore, I had no time for that now, I wanted more strength, and knowing my universe, I couldn't afford to be lacking in that department, especially with the surprises of the unknowns in my special, AU-like verse.

"I don't know, a guy like you not having a girlfriend seems odd... But I feel like you're telling the truth. Your turn." She stated.

'Good.'

"Do you mind me hanging with you and your friends? They seem like cool people." I asked, already having a plan in mind.

I saw her features shift to curiosity, and then quickly to a look of acceptance.

"Sure, plus, you don't seem like you have many friends, I'll have to make reservations with a friend, do you mind?" She asked, I nodded quickly, giving a slight smile... This was a bit easy, it seems like she is a bit attracted to me...

She flipped out her phone and typed a number out, calling someone. It didn't take long for that someone to pick up either.

"Hey, Parker! Mind if I bring someone to our little outing this Tuesday?" She asked, and luckily with my hearing I could listen in on their convo, and as I guessed, it was Parker.

"Sure, mind telling me who's tagging along?" He asked. I on another hand, hated his goody-two-shoes voice...

"Yeah... Remember that one friend I told you about? I wanted him to tag along with me." She added.

For a moment, a minute of silence spread through the air, a pin drop could be heard, that was until she broke the silence...

"Ahhh. Earth to Parker?..." She added. She shot a glance at me, I simply shrugged at the whole debacle.

"...Sure he can come, I was doing something so sorry for the long response, see you next Tuesday!" He said, hanging up. I bet that must have rocked his world. Good.

"That was weird" She added, looking toward me. She then packed her things...

"Sorry Panther, I've gotta go, I need to... Check up on something, see you next Tuesday. Oh and, Dress formerly, he's taking us to a fancy restaurant. Can you keep up with the price?" She asked.

I nodded. "I'll need your contact before you go," I asked. She took my phone and placed the information in herself.

"I'll see you soon, and I'll text you when and where, later~" She said, waving goodbye. I on the other hand more things to think of...
