426 Chapter 436: Shut The Portal

Perseus POV

"Oh, I'll ask for a kiss on the cheek at most." Anna said

"Really? Like cheek cheek or is it the other kind of cheek?"

Since Anna was going to be the head of the project, I decided to give her a visit on my way back and discuss with her what happened, just so she could get a slight headstart, she noted everything down and noted her ideas on how to create these vessels.

"Who do you think I am?" She exclaimed, "A pervert? Wait, don't answer that."

"So just a kiss on the cheek, I can do that, easily."

"Not finished." she stopped me and pointed to the part of her cheek that was close to her lips, "And it has to be in front of your girlfriends."

"Do you want the both of us to die?"

"I'm not going to move my head and put my lips there, I just want you to get hurt a bit for rejecting me all this time." she shrugged, "And you'll have to not let them know beforehand, just kiss me with no context and explain it the best you can afterward. It'll be funny."

"We'll still both die!"

"You said that you'll die many times and your girlfriends haven't killed you yet, so..."

"Good point...that's it?"

"Would you rather go on a date where you'll actually have to kiss me on the lips and act like my boyfriend?"

"No, fine, kiss on the cheek and let you watch me suffer, I can do that."

"Good, now I'll gather my crew while you handle the fights."

I got prepared to go home and cook since my grandparents weren't here to do that anymore, and I rather not stand in line at the community mess hall. But I sensed it...a large powerful energy, familiar enough to recognize it within a second. Dawn came in later and warned of the portal from the other world and I rushed to the scene, it was in the northern islands.

It was snowy and cold as hell, but that's what I'm worrying about. Before me, the sky had fractured, giving birth to a massive, swirling portal. It loomed like a hungry abyss, a tear in the fabric of reality, with jagged edges that crackled with sparks of otherworldly power. The portal and cracks were bigger than any other I've seen.

I see Isfrid in the distance, but he just watched it and didn't say a word.

The rift in the sky had widened into a formidable gateway, stretching beyond the limits of imagination. The edges of the portal glowed with bright white light, pulsating in sync with an otherworldly rhythm that resonated through the air.

As the crack in the sky deepened, I could feel the vibrations intensifying, resonating through every fiber of my being. The air hummed with alien energy, and I knew that whatever emerged from there would be some of the most destructive beings I was going to face...however, I can delay it just a bit further.

"Dawn, Lilith...when the portal opens, shoot a powerful spell to it, make them close it up, and delay their invasion."

I need to delay it just a couple of days for all of us to gather materials for the vessel, after that, it's full-on war and chaos, I also need to relocate them to our back-up bunker, so that they can do all of this safely as the village is dangerous at the moment.

"Already planned on it." Lilith replied

And after a couple of seconds, the other seasonal gods arrived as well.

"In the middle of me fucking too?" Saber grumbled as he walked up to us, "Hey mom."

"Please don't look at your own mother with those eyes." I intervened before it got weird.

"That energy..." Cassius chimed in, "It's from the other side, the one where you and the heroes came from."

"It's inevitable mate, one of the people that's coming through is God, Phineas' guys' religious figure, or whatever." I then describe the looks of all the gods that are coming our way.

I also described Gabriel and how we need to spare him, Cassius, the narcissist listened and heeded my advice, but the other 2...didn't believe me at all when I mentioned Lady Time. So, they don't believe in her 'warning', and they'll just indiscriminately going to take out every invader there is.

"You know you're stupid when the narcissist is listening to others rather than himself." Ruka mumbled under her breath

"What was that?" Saber raised his voice

"I said that you're an idiot, got a problem?"

"Guys, let's not fight." Maple intervened, "We have to worry about the invading gods, we'll settle this between us later."

"Oh shut up, this is your fault cuz you went there, the fact that I'm here and willing to cooperate should be more than enough for you."

Oh man, when I'm done with everything, I can't wait to kick his ass, I find and have someone to replace him, but I got more pressing issues going on.

I gathered a lot of power within me, channeling the force of crackling lightning and the sun's force into my very being. The air around me crackled with electrifying energy, and my form shimmered with heat that mirrored the sun's intensity. As I raised my hands, arcs of lightning danced between my fingertips, intertwining with strands of blinding light. The power surged within, a fusion of nature's most potent elements converging into a singular force under my command.

I directed the concentrated power toward the colossal portal that was in the sky. The combined force of lightning and solar brilliance erupted from my outstretched hands, forming a radiant beam that streaked across the heavens.

Lilith released a barrage of powerful magical arrows and Dawn released a powerful blast of intense flames into the portal. The portal quivered under the assault, its edges flickering as if unable to contain the overwhelming energy being thrust upon it. The very fabric of the portal strained against the onslaught, and I could sense the invaders struggling to maintain control on the other side as the portal's edge quivered.

It shut off within the next minute, but...this is only temporary, I left the gods here and went back to gather the materials and help the crew for now, I'm going to need to use everything I've gathered until now.
