Chapter 2: Tutorial

[Welcome to Hellmode Hardcore Leveling, in this game, all you need to do is survive]

[Each of you is going to be given a role suited to yourself]

[You can view your status by saying "Status Check"]

[A window will pop out containing your player status.]

[Defeating enemies can increase your level. You can also progress by getting treasure artifacts, and finally, killing other players can also increase it.]

[There are six tiers of artifacts grey for common, green for uncommon, blue for rare, purple for super rare, yellow for legendary, and red for mythical.]

[There are different sources of monsters, each with different difficulty level]

[Defeating the boss monster will result in more experience. Some bosses will also drop artifacts.]

[The world terrain will be altered]

[There will be safe zones scattered all over the world, this place can provide safety and respite throughout your journey]

[In the safe zone, there are quests available for adventurers. Some will have specific requirements, so do your best.]

[Some quests are one-time only, after it is done, there won't be any more quests of the same variant and rewards.]

[You will complete the game if you can survive and defeat bosses from quests.]

[After completing the game, the world will return to normal]

After hearing the speech that the creature did, people started a commotion, asking questions and demanding answers.

"Where did the kids go?!"

"What is going on?!"

"What do you creature want?!"

The commotion of the people suddenly stopped as they all returned to their places.

The room filled with silence.

Zaine opens his eyes and looks around. He realizes that he is back in his humble apartment.

Zaine heard screaming, growling, and roars coming from outside his house.

He opens his apartment window and sees the sunshine entering his house. But something feels different. The view from his apartment is nothing but ordinary. The road is filled with chaos, crashed cars, and people running in a panic.

Zaine's face filled with grim as he watched people being mauled by monsters of all kinds, tainting the road with a bright red color of fresh blood.

A Goblin notices Zaine looking toward him in his apartment and starts running toward him.

"Ahh, fuck he saw me!" Zaine, in a fight-or-flight scenario, decided to fight for his life. He took an old thick plank that had fallen down his ceiling some time ago and held it tight in his hand.

It  jumps through the window of the old apartment and engages in a fight with Zaine.

Without thinking much, Zaine smacks it with the wooden plank. The plank has a long stick-like shape, with a width of 2 inches and a length of around 20 inches. It is not much, but Zaine desperately manages to hit it with it.

It got knocked into a wall, confused and dizzy. However, it continues charging towards Zaine.

Zaine hit It again. This time the stick landed precisely on his head. It got flung into the road, and with blue blood smeared across the wooden plank, Zaine finally killed his first monster.

A holographic message suddenly popped up.

"Sigh... It finally died." Zaine's mumbled to himself as his body surged with power as he leveled up.

"Skill points? Goblin soul? Did I level up? I can summon a goblin?" Zaine mumbled to himself as these things were happening to him.

Zaine knew that the monster he defeated bore similar traits as the goblin from the game Hellmode Hardcore Leveling.

'Maybe the world did get merged with the game.' He thought to himself.

Zaine reverts his gaze towards his PC that is still logged on to HHL. he decides to sit back in his chair, temporarily avoiding contact with the outside world, and see what is happening.

As he sat, he saw a map on his PC desk, with the PC screen cracked. Zaine looked at the map. It looked the same as the world's current world map. Weird marks pointing toward boss monsters and artifacts can be seen on the map, though its size is limited.

After touching it for a moment, a notification popped up.

"Of course, yes!" Zaine presses the button.

An image of the map can be seen in his peripheral vision, in the upper right corner, showing him the place around him and giving information on the surrounding monsters.

He resolved to go out for the first time since he decided to lock himself in as a neet.

Zaine remembered the tutorial that he was in before and decided to check his status.

"Status Check!"

A holographic board appeared before him, showing him his current status.

"Whoa, the Map is a red mythical item, and the egg is colored white with a tag 'God'? I don't think there was a tier for white in the game. Must have been a bug." Zaine shrugged.

"Summon Goblin!" Zaine shouts at an open space to hopefully succeed in spawning a goblin.

A green creature popped up from thin air, bowing itself to Zaine.

"Nice, it works just like in the game."
