Day 161: Meeting again (III)

With those simple words that he could hear, Blake realized that the idea he had in mind was correct, the girl with the name Mei seemed like she was actually the master that Shino had told him about earlier... But this itself made Blake feel somewhat confused since that girl was clearly younger than Shino.

A silence fell after Shino's greeting, but it didn't last long when Mei spoke once more.

"I'm not sure I still have the right to call me your master after what I did." A somewhat complicated combination of feelings could be heard in her voice when she said all that, obviously Blake didn't understand what they really meant, so he just remained silent appreciating the situation.

"You don't need to feel that way, I will never doubt the master's decisions, that's why I can be here right now, hehe." Shino had a huge smile as she said that, it seemed that she didn't was affected by anything that was on Mei's mind and that very expression made the atmosphere in the room quite pleasant.

"Sigh... Seeing you like this; I can't try to feel guilty... Since we're already together, I guess you can enlighten me a bit while I tell you some interesting things, but first..." And kept a little silent, the look de Mei focused on the figure of Sakuya. "Seeing her makes me realize that the years really do take their course."

Mei said all that when unconsciously she was touching Sakuya's head. "You look like your mother when she was your same age, I expect great things from you."

Sakuya just nodded several times as a sign that that is what she would do in the future, the way she was acting might not be normal for her, but that was due to the situation, she was in front of her mother's master, and for all she knew, she couldn't be more than grateful to Mei.

"Ufufu, I had waited so long to see this scene, I had even forgotten that cute side of the master" Shino was just laughing at the scene, but actually many happy memories were filling her head at that moment as Mei realized what she was doing and resumed her upright position from before letting out a small cough to emphasize that the conversation should move on to another topic.

"Just seeing both of you in perfect condition makes this trip not wasted, makes me breathe easy… And ending with that, I guess it's time for a few more introductions, isn't it?" Now the gaze of the women in the room unconsciously went to the two boys who remained silent.

"That's quite on point, then... How about we start with the lovely boy you brought with you, Master Mei, should I celebrate this?" Shino laughed again after saying that as she noticed that Ragna had a confused expression and Mei shook her head once she heard one of her typical jokes.

"Sigh... Your mentality is just as free as in the past, but throw all those strange thoughts into the trash, you know very well that I'm already over three hundred years old." That itself surprised everyone present except for Shino. Blake turned his gaze to Mei thinking that it was not good to judge someone based on their appearance, but at the same time he was wondering how she might have been that age, basically that meant that she was possibly older than Wells. "In short, his name is Ragna, his father asked me to bring him with me to Laguz and I couldn't refuse after seeing the boy's insistence."

That seemed like a rather simple explanation, but Ragna couldn't help but open her mouth.

"Really? I thought you took me because dad gave him enough rune crystals for the teleportation array, master." And after that, Ragna realized that she said something she shouldn't.

"Ragna... What have I told you about speaking up when your opinion isn't asked for?" A look of death was on Mei's face and it was totally directed at the figure of Ragna who was now in what seemed to be a fetal position trying to disappear at that moment, but Shino's voice was enough to get everyone's attention.

"Wait master, Is he?..." Mei realized the question that was coming and answered with total sincerity.

"Yes, you heard right, I have taken Ragna as one of my disciples, the boy has a lot of talent and it would a waste not to take advantage of it, so you could think of him as your little brother if you wish." Hearing that, Ragna then realized that was true and wasn't able to avoid calling Shino older sister making her feel incredibly happy for some reason. "And since that was relatively clear, now I have a question... Who exactly is he?"

And in the direction of that question, Blake found himself sitting sipping the small cup of tea as he realized that all the attention was on him this time.
