1 Chapter 1: My wishes in this new world

As I stared at the sky I was still thinking about everything that happened to me just 2 hours ago. 2 hours ago I was still a normal Otaku reading some web novels on the net when an add appears with some questions on it. Because I found it interesting so I proceeded to answered it.

<1. What is Manga you loved the most that already has an end>

I've always loved Mx0 because it was really a good and interesting Manga, but the problem was that it was too short. I've always felt like the author left a Manga with a great potential to rot in the forgotten Mangas and it has frustrated me to no end up until now.

<2. If you could decide which person you are reincarning into who would it be? (it has to be from the manga you have previously selected)>

Obviously because he was too interesting and strong. Being able to fool so much magician into believing that you hold magic for a whole 6 month without people knowing? Obviously you deserve respect.

<3. Chose your cheat between SYSTEM and BOOK OF EXPERIENCE >

Honestly I just didn't like system in general and I'm pretty sure that even a lazy person like myself will be bored to death with a system if I had it in reality. Just by reading novels and fanfic you can see how boring and untasteful MC's life became after a too quick power up. It's not like I didn't like being powerful or some buls**t like I like hardwork. But being able to do anything, while it seems awesome won't be that great after a few days. And while I didn't know what was the book of experience, knowing that it wasn't a system was good enough for me.

Anyway, after answering the add like some cliché situation I've found myself inside the body of Kuzumi Taiga with all his experiences, memories and feelings. So right now I'm like a Taiga 2.0. And the reason I was watching clouds was because I was at the part of the story of when Taiga was thinking about his whish. Obviously I can't give the same answer that the me before gave because even though I'm Taiga, I've changed.

While I'm not a scumbag and will certainly do everything in my hand to make Aika wish come true, this is not my principle wish. But it was similar.

Having decided I began to return to the principle's office.

As I stare at the principle she asked me "So what is your whish?"

"I... I want to be able to use magic and see if I can find wonders that nobody found until now while helping people" I said determinate.

Then the serious atmosphere was broke by that damn sensei. "Pfff, you discovering something while you couldn't even manage to enter the school? What will you discover? Your mediocrity?"

That Hiiragi bastard! If you weren't Aika's father I would have visit you on your graveyard a long time ago!

"Okay, stop that Hiiragi-sensei and please continue to support him" said Hanasaki-sensei smiling. Putting a smile on my face.

"Thanks you Principle for giving me a chance" I said sincerely as I bow. It was truly a chance for me because it was kinda my second life in which I could say that I will be truly alive with that unknown thing called magic.

Hanasaki-Sensei then take out a plate with a Stylised M and 0 on it. "Because you began to become self-aware of the importance of plate, I'm willing to give you a second chance. The plate that I'm giving to you now is not a dummy one but your personal plate. It's called M0, while its a genuine plate, it doesn't carry any magical power"

Honestly I half listen to what she said because I already knew that, but it didn't bother me a bit when I knew the potential of that plate "It's okay, even if it can't do any magic for now it doesn't mean that it can't do it later right?" I still asked for confirmation because we never know if the informations I have are to be trusted. But to my relief the principle nodded.

"You're right. Because it's a genuine plate, it can evolve like the others, but contrary to other regular plate that we gave to any freshman this one in term of ranking is below even the Red-Iron plate of the freshmen. Among the magic plates it's the one with the lowest rank because it doesn't possess any magic. So if you want to evolve it, you have to gain enough magic points. Magic points are used to evolve your card and increase the number of spell you can cast per day." Start to explain Hiiragi-sensei more seriously. But it confused me a little.

(A/N: So I change the way magic points and plates work a little because even for me it was a little confusing. Like if you need magic points to use every magic every time and it can only be given by merits like exams etc... It means that students have to be really careful in spending points even if its just for practice. And I don't think professor will just give you points every time even if it's in the name of practice)

"But I thought that magic points was just use to evolve the plate, why would I need it to cast spells too?"

"You misunderstood, you don't need MP to cast spell. Let's say that your plate is a phone. Every time you download a new spell in your plate It's taking up space. By evolving your plate not only you can increase the space in your plate but it also increases the quality of your spell as if your buying the new phone of your brand.

Everything is the same with some updates and more space. But just like a phone, it has a limited battery and the more you use it the less battery it has. While for phone you can use a charger for battery everywhere for plates you can only charge it passively in magic concentrated area.

For a Red-Iron plate it take generally five hours to charge it fully. But if you use magic point it will reduce the time of the charging process. And magic point can also be used to facilitate the process of downloading new spells.

As for Spells, they used spell points, like I said it's like a battery let's say everyday you have a 100 SP according to the spells you will cast and the quality of your plate it will use more or less SP. For example the spell [Voice warp] that Aika use. Let's say that it cost 60 SP to cast it, with a Red-Iron plate you will only be able to use it once because it only has 100 SP. But if you use a Silver Plate who has four time the capability of the Red-Iron you will be able to you use it 6 times."

After Hiiragi explanation I now had a more understanding on how plate work and especially the M0. From the Manga, I knew that the M0 used MP instead of SP. And if I had to guess it had to be the fact that to use SP in the first place the plate would have to have magic first, but because it function is to negate magic except if I evolve it or turn it into a Black plate it's impossible.

"Don't think about it for now and just do your best to accumulate more Magic Points." said the Principle as she gave the plate to me.

"Yes, and thank you" I replied while reaching for the plate.

Except that the moment I hold the M0 plate, it start to shine, blinding the entire office in white light.

The Book of Experience? Ah, the cheat I got from that add huh. Well, a wish... It can't be my dream, but it can something that will aid me in attaining it. 'My wish is to be able to use magic to make my dream come true!'

This... I knew it already! That was exactly the reason of why I couldn't enter in this school normally! You didn't need to put salt over it, I'm self-aware of my condition!

Ehhh what does that mean? I will stole their potential?

Just after I read that, I suddenly feel something warm generating in my belly. After just a few second it started to spread out over all the part of my body. The feeling brought by it was incredible and euphoric. I almost fall in it if it wasn't for the warm to go as fast as it came.

{Note. Because the Host didn't have any affinities and potential for magic, the BOOK OF EXPERIENCE was only able to connect the 2 affinitiy space and time with the host. Meaning other than magic with those two affinities the host will never be able to cast magic with any other affinities. Besides because the host chose to use Magic point from the M0 plate, the plate is now bond with host and is unable to evolve into plate ranked higher than M0. Because of the bond, the M0 plate evolved into MI0 which this allows you to use magic with this plate depending on how much magic point you have. An original skill of the card has been kept [M0].

[M0] : You can create a Zone anti-magic. The range of this skill can increase by putting more Magic Point in it. Note that to negate magic, Magic Point are also needed, the more powerful the magic, the more Magical Points are needed}

This.... I didn't know if I had to be happy or not with this situation. On one hand I could now use magic even if it was just with 2 attributes, on another hand I was still dependent on magic points, I couldn't use any other plate and worst of all, my plate will be a MI0 for ever!

Not having the time to think about it the light coming from my plate start to recede. When the light was finally gone, I was finally able to access the surrounding. I saw Hiiragi and Hanasaki-sensei astonished and not understanding what was happening. But they quickly regain some composure. Being surrounded by magical phenomenon every day few thing should really surprise them to no end. Just as I thought that, Hanasaki-sensei start to shine blinding the room once again. Like before it didn't last long instead it was shorter than with me. But then it was my turn to get surprised because instead of the old Hanasaki Otome, what was in front of me was the young and beautiful Hanasaki-sensei that interview us during the exam.

"Ara, my body seems to have rejuvenated without transformation magic. Interesting" She said not disturb at all by what she just said or the fact that she suddenly became young again for real this time! Glancing toward Hiiragi I saw at his head that he was thinking exactly the same thing.

"No, wait!" he said suddenly awaking from this unreasonable situation. "What's going on here! Kizumi Taiga, what happened? Why did it seem like suddenly you transform yourself into some Shonen protagonist receiving some sacred artifacts ?! That plate wasn't supposed to have any magical capability at all! And... Did the plate change???!! Kuzumi what's going on?!"

His outburst wake up the principle too and stared at me putting me under pressure. I thought about lying for a moment but didn't found a real to so I told the truth. "When the plate touch me, it gave me magic capability and bond permanently with me. I am now capable of producing magic points and magic in general without the need of a magic ground. But I can only use space or time magic and nothing else. Beside that the plate gain the ability to negate magic. As for Hanasaki-sensei's change it should be because of the plate. However I don't know what did it do." Or almost the truth. I couldn't just said that I gain some kind of cheat and reincarnated as Taiga Kuzumi too!

Well what I said seems like too much for Hiiragi already, so adding more may shock him to death. "That kind of thing is not supposed to be possible for a plate, especially the M0 who like you just discovered is an anti-magic plate. So for that plate to be able to give someone magic!..."

"Actually it didn't really gave me magic, it's more like it took all Magic Points inside itself then created some kind of mana core inside me with those MP." I tried to explain from what I've understood myself. Which honestly isn't much. First I still didn't understand what was the Book of experience. After that I will try to know more about it. I just hope that it wasn't some kind of system.

"What are you saying still doesn't make any sense" said Hiiragi pulling myself out of my musing "You may not know but plate can become sentient at all. We know it because some already tried to make their plate sentient. But the fact that your plate choose to bond with you and give you magic is a proof this M0 plate is at least a little sentient, which is if not impossible more than a wonder in self. I mean a sentient plate can't just appear out of nowhere?!" I could see his frustration growing as he keep talking, and I don't know why but seeing him trying to make sense of the situation aimlessly made me satisfied internally.

"Well, I don't think that Kuzumi-kun could possibly now the answer of that question so let's live it at that. We will try to follow the falling back from the event. At this point there's nothing we could really do about and it's getting late. Kuzumi-kun you can home, but do call if something happen with that plate, if it's really sentient, while it may not harm you consciously because of the bond it may do it unconsciously if it evolved again so be careful." Said Hanasaki-sensei to me seriously to which I also nodded seriously. Because while I don't think that the card could evolve anymore, but I didn't know what else the Book of experience could pull out.

After telling them my goodbye I immediately took the way to go home. I was honestly tired of everything that happen today, and right now resting was my only wish. With the determination of resting I was actually surprised at the speed I've reach the front of my house. As I was searching for my keys I suddenly heard a familiar calling my name, turning my head I greet my two neighbors and childhood friends. "Yo, Yoshimori, Tokine. How're you?"

"Good, and apparently in better shape than you. You seem exhausted. Something happen?" Asked Tokine with a worried tone.

"Yeah actually, I almost found myself kicked out of my school because of a lost pass. Well I finally found it so its okay but because of it I was stressed out the entire week and now I just want to go sleep."

"Well I'm glad that everything went well at the end for you and I really think you should go and rest too." Replied Tokine with a relieved face.

"But I think that your school is a bit too harsh with their rule. Threatening students into kicking them out for some pass" started to complain Yoshimori. Well if he knew that that 'pass' was a magic one even if mine was dummy, but still, I don't think he would still be spouting the same speech.

''My school is a bit special haha. Well then Tokine, Yoshimori let's see each other another time'' I then bid my farwell to them and inside my house. Then using the memory of Taiga I went directly to my room and after seeing my bed I collapsed directly on it. The weight of fatigue caught up with me and I automatically started to close my eyes and fall asleep. My last thoughts were about how familiar the Name of Tokine and Yoshimori sound to me.

"I think we forgot to tell Kuzumi-kun that from the start we didn't intend to kick him out" Said the now young Hanazaki Otome with a pensive face.

"I don't think this is what we should be putting our focus on" replied Hiiragi Kenjirou a little irritate, before turning serious. "What that brat said was too big. He himself didn't seem to notice, but putting aside the sentient plate what achieved was something magician tried to since we have discovered magic: being able to generate magic on our own without sacred grounds as medium.''

"Yes, and it also seems like we benefit from it too even though we still need sacred grounds to recharge our Magic Points, we don't need our plate anymore to cast spells or generate Magic Points" Otome replied as she made a shogi piece float on the palm of her hand while still having her plate in her other hand.

"Haah, while on one hand that brat brought a great news to us, on another hand if news of his capabilities are to be brought out he will find himself in a great danger."

"I know, which is why I will call my father. But for now I don't think really have to be that worried. While in this school he has us to protect him, nobody will dare to make a move when he is at home" said Otome mysteriously.

"Hum? Why is that? What's so special about his home?"

"Didn't you read his file? His neighbors are exorcists.''

"Oh? But don't think it will be enough to protect him. Most of the exorcists not being a part of those two organizations aren't that strong."

Hearing that, Otome smirk "But those exorcists aren't ordinary at all. On the contrary they are famous for having protected a sacred ground for many centuries without falling the task once. Something like that is impressive when you know that only two families protect that place which is attack every night."

"Wait! Don't tell me, you're talking about the legendary Kekkaishis? I've heard many rumors about them and how they are attached to their territory. Indeed you are right, if it is them, Kuzumi Taiga won't have to worry when at home. But that is only for the time being they won't be able to protect him forever."

"I know, the only thing we can do is to try to prepare him as best as we can and hope that it will be enough."

"In this world I don't think that the future can be built with hope"

Well I won't cheat and say that it was my first fanfic in English because unfortunately it isn't. But it's been like 2 years since my last fanfic so I'm a little rusty. Don't worry though, I'll do my best to improve the quality of my writing. So like you have seen there's a crossover. As the story goes on I will surely add more worlds but it won't be too many. And because of seeing too much fanfic with the similar multicross everytime is starting to make me sick the cross would be with some great Mangas but less know from the big public.

For Those who didn't read Mx0 I really advise you to do it. I decided to start the first chapter of my fanfic start at the middle of the second volume because the story really start at moment. But I really can't understand why it had to end so quickly, because it really had a great potential, but well...

Concerning the schedule of chapters release, I won't lie I'm not confident in being able to respect some program so I won't put any. As for criticism, do so as long as it's constructive, even if it is just to say you don't like it at least explain the reason. I will try to reply to most of you.
