1 Chapter - 1 : Prologue

(Third Person View)

The evening sun cast a warm, golden glow through the dusty window of a Young Man's small flat, illuminating the room's humble furnishings.

It was a cosy space, filled with well-worn books and the comforting scent of old pages.

Rohith, a young and introspective man, lived a modest life in his small flat.

He is a 22-year-old with an average appearance and a sharp intellect, and he stood out as a diligent student in his third year of college.

Life hadn't been easy for him.

He had been an orphan from a young age and had learned to rely on himself. As a result, he had grown accustomed to solitude and found solace in the pages of books.

As he delved into the pages of his latest read, he couldn't help but wonder about his own life.

He had always been a righteous person, believing in the value of hard work and integrity.

But somehow, this had made him different from his peers and led him to become somewhat anti-social over the years. While others were out partying and socialising, Rohith was content to lose himself in the world of books.

Without any close friends to confide in, Rohith found companionship in the world of literature.

He wasn't a devoted Bibliophile(:Bookworm), but he did enjoy immersing himself in tales of magic and adventure.

Books offered him an escape from the mundane realities of life, allowing his imagination to soar to far-off lands and fantastical realms.

One genre, however, that he always steered clear of was harem. The concept of one person being surrounded by multiple admirers failed to resonate with his ideals of love and companionship.

However, being a prudent Young Man, Rohith was cautious with his expenses. He yearned for an endless supply of stories to satiate his appetite, but he preferred not to spend money on his beloved hobby.

Instead, he sought out platforms where authors willingly shared their work for free, as long as readers provided honest reviews in return.

It was his way of appreciating the writers while enjoying their creations.

Although piracy was an option for many, his strong moral compass prevented him from resorting to such acts.

Rohith held profound respect for authors, acknowledging the tremendous effort they put into crafting their stories.

He believed that obtaining their work without fair exchange was a crime against their hard-earned creations.

Guided by a strong moral compass, he refrained from any illicit means of accessing literature, remaining committed to his principles.

.

Overall, Rohith led a decent life, working part-time to support himself and being quite content with what he was doing.

As he turned the pages, his thoughts wandered to the future. If there was anything he could point out as an emptiness within him despite his contentment with his circumstances, it was that he longed for a genuine connection–A person to share his life with.

He sought a good-hearted woman, someone understanding and supportive, who could be his lifelong partner.

Apart from the initial attractions that came and went, he never found someone who felt right beyond the superficial level.

Yet Rohith was neither desperate nor in a hurry.

He possessed unwavering confidence that the right person would enter his life at the perfect moment.

The longing to be with a loving companion fueled his daily motivation, driving him to do better and improve himself.

.

On this ordinary day, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across Rohith's cramped room, he found himself engrossed in yet another average novel.

The tale he stumbled upon lacked the enchantment he often finds in the fantasy genre, but it was a free offering he discovered on a light novel platform.

With his phone in hand, Rohith lay on his bed, following the lines of the story, oblivious to the world around him.

As he delved deeper into the narrative, a sudden pain gripped his chest, causing him to gasp for breath.

The agony radiated through his body, transforming the ordinary room into a battlefield of life and death.

In that terrifying moment, Rohith's mind raced, recalling an article he had recently read about a phenomenon plaguing young men and women aged 18 to 26.

They succumbed to sudden heart attacks without showing any prior health issues or signs of frailty.

The article detailed the tragic fate that struck them in an instant.

Little did Rohith know that he would become one of those unfortunate statistics, his dreams shattered by the ruthless hand of fate.

The pain intensified, writhing within him like a vicious beast.

Rohith attempted to call for help, but his voice failed him.

The soundless cries of desperation echoed only in his own mind.

His body convulsed involuntarily, the phone slipping from his grasp and clattering onto the floor, the sound swallowed by the suffocating silence that filled the room.

With each passing moment, Rohith's life flashed before his eyes, like fragments of a forgotten dream.

Regret gnawed at his soul as he realised he would never find the One he had longed for.

In his final moments, he yearned for a love he had not yet experienced, a connection that would endure until the end.

.

As Rohith's spirit embraced his eternal slumber, the world he left behind continued its relentless march.

The novel he had been reading lay open on the floor, its words frozen in time, forever incomplete.

The untold stories and unexplored adventures within its pages mirrored the dreams and aspirations that had died with him.

In the realm of fiction and reality, Rohith's story reached its poignant conclusion.

His life, filled with solitude, ambition, and unwavering hope, had left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who would never know him.

The room remained unchanged, a testament to his quiet existence, his love for literature, and the eternal search for a love that had eluded him.

Then, silence.

...….

...

.

However, no one would have guessed that the above lines only captured his life on Earth, and he has many things to do elsewhere.…

And so, as the world turned and new chapters unfolded.

.

.

Moments later, his eyes flickered open, and he found himself in an unfamiliar setting.
