CH030

It had all been wrong. The way Lu Fan was using the system was all wrong.

Lu Fan did not know whether it was because he did not have any big ambitions or a sense of urgency, but he had found out during the past week that he had been sleeping on his cheat and basically doing nothing with it.

Yeah, he had been using it to improve tags and professions, but that was truly just a small part of what the system could do.

He had started exercising this week and that was when he found out how stupid his method of using the system was.

He had started by simply watching YouTube videos and exercising alongside them when a [Fitness +20] tag appeared. And that was the beginning of a completely different journey.

Lu Fan did not max out the tag all at once since, what was the point? He had nothing better to use his time for anyway. It was better to enjoy the process.

But it seemed like he had underestimated his cheat. Tags kept appearing from every little progress he could feel himself making and it honestly wasn't any slower than buying attributes.

The [Fitness] tag simply came with all the techniques and exercises that could help him keep fit. The more he used these methods, the more attributes he gained, and the more proficient he got.

He thought that his body would at least slow down his progress, but that was when the [Endurance +35] and [Resistance +20] popped up. It was magical how these tags dealt with his fatigue and exhaustion.

He was not even feeling thirsty and hungry anymore at this point.

But those tags were nothing compared to the ones he gained afterward. He gained the Tag [Health +56] on his third session. This tag was something else.

All his ailments that he had, went away the more he leveled up this tag. His eyes which had started tearing up because of looking at screens for too long were no longer troubling him. The scars that he had gained growing up were fading. His skin was becoming clearer and he no longer felt like his body had been through a rough time. Hell, even the sour muscles that resulted from exercise were no longer a problem. They would heal in at most five minutes no matter how hard he went at it.

And then there was the [Strength +65] tag that appeared soon after. Lu Fan did not know why it took so long for it to appear, but he could only attribute it to the fact that this tag was too broken.

Look at it this way, Lu Fan was still struggling to press more than 70kg of weight even with all those tags before the [Strength] tag appeared. He could indeed press 100 sets or even 1000 sets if he really got into it, but it was impossible to do so with say 90kg.

But the Strength tag came and Lu Fan basically stopped being human altogether.

Press 70 kg for 5 sets and any more than that would be useless since he would have already adjusted to that metric. If 70 doesn't work, let's try 90, but that was also nothing. The first three might be challenging, but after gaining a couple of attributes, it was nothing.

By the end of the week, Lu Fan was basically pressing 500 kg like it was nothing. The only reason he could not press more was that the gear he had could only handle that much.

What was more surprising however was that Lu Fan's body did not change much. And that was because he gained the tag [Physique +87].

Everybody knows that exercise helps the body grow, hones the muscles, and strengthens the bones, as it should. But Lu Fan's cheat seemed to have taken this to a whole other level.

Instead of growing and accumulating mass, his body seemed to be changing its very composition on a qualitative level. It was to the point that when he first got this tag, his body became thinner instead of being jacked. The little muscle he had worked on seemed to be withering away.

He would have freaked out if not for his strength increasing. His body seemed to be getting smaller, but his strength was growing.

That continued until he got the [Stamina +67] tag.

At first, Lu Fan thought that it was the same as [Endurance] but man was he wrong.

The [Stamina] tag seemed to give him infinite energy. While that was an illusion, since it would catch up to him when he was done, the tag seemed to be borrowing the energy from somewhere and he needed to replenish it later with food and rest, but it was not due to fatigue or exhaustion.

The whole thing was just against biology and everything that he knew about the human lifeform. Any lifeform for that matter.

After a week of intense exercise, Lu Fan's body was packed with muscles that made him feel like a god. Of course, that was just a feeling, an illusion. If he faced a bullet, Lu Fan was sure that he would still be helpless.

But that was only if he found himself on the other side of the barrel, which he had no plans of doing. And if he did, Lu Fan had already started preparing.

He had gained seven tags from exercising and at the end of the week, some of them had already been maxed out and they turned in a white talent [Athlete].

When this talent appeared, it was like a whole new world opened up to him. All he needed to do was watch a sport on television or online and he would instantly become a master at the sport.

It did not matter how complicated it was, he could instantly master it.

The thing that surprised him however was when he watched sports karate, his [Athlete] talent started turning green, but when he tried to hasten it by watching other techniques that are not so sporty, he gained a new tag instead.

Muay Thai might have been taken as a sport, but when a [Muay Thai +4] tag appeared, he instantly thought otherwise. Limbs were just as deadly as bullets if used well enough.

This made him realize that no matter how good his body was if he met someone who knew how to throw a punch, he could only take it like a champ. But who wanted to be a champ? His perfect smile was more important.

He was also not a masochist and would rather be the one throwing the punches.

Lu Fan was currently working on that.

He had searched for hundreds of online tutorials and manuals of all techniques out there and he would max them out instantly.

Martial arts techniques were different from simple body exercise methods. If he messed up, he would easily get injured.

Something like Muay Thai was very dangerous and an injury could cost you your life at worst and a finger at best. He did not want that.

After doing all that, he got five other white talents in his repertoire.

[Martial Arts] was expected after learning and leveling all those techniques, but he also gained [Weapon Mastery] which gave him pretty much instinctual mastery of weaponry and their accompanying techniques.

Martial arts like Bajiquan and Wing Chun had techniques for the usage of weapons.

Krav Maga on the other hand directly became a [Close Quarter Combat] white tag when he maxed it out while Systema became [Hand to Hand Combat].

It truly surprised Lu Fan because these tags came with something more than just mere techniques. Let's just put it this way, these tags enabled him to kill without even thinking about it when he felt threatened. It was muscle memory at this point.

There was also a [Military Combat Technique] tag that showed up after watching a ton of material on other military forces out there.

There were other small gains like when he learned Tai Chi he gained [Internal Martial Arts] and [Meditation] white talents.

This helped him control his strength more efficiently and calmed him down. Learning and mastering hundreds of techniques affected his temperament and made him easily irate and aggressive. These two talents helped him get rid of all of that.

The [Internal Martial Arts] tag especially helped him tailor a technique for Chen Lu and the other ladies that he was planning to teach them. The beauty of this technique was that it did not have a high requirement.

It was even closer to a combination of Tai Chi, Qigong, Pilates, and Yoga and it was made to strengthen them with accumulation. Add that to his ability to gift others attributes…

{A/N: Hello everyone. Just got a few things to say.

First, this novel will not suddenly become a martial arts work, I just thought that I should get this 'part' done. That is why the chapter is so long.

Second, I don't know how many are still reading this novel. If you are, comment so that I know who is with me. I might drop if there are no readers.

Third, Give me your power stone. We both know you got nothing better to do with them. So, throw them at me.}
