15 Chapter 15: Neo-Nephilim
"This is Sir Mad Immortal? And he is our what?"
"Yes, he is Sir Mad Immortal. And he is your great something Grandfather."
Leonel suddenly said, "The big question here is, what are you? Cause you sure as hell ain't a Demi-Human. Your blood feels much more...primal."
Zeke and Katherine exchanged a look.
"You guys, we just went through a lot of changes and need some time to examine ourselves. Also, we are tired and need to rest. Can we continue this conversation tomorrow?"
The three adults had witnessed the intensity of the Trials themselves and knew that Zeke was right.
Leonel replied, "Then I will visit your house at noon tomorrow."
"We will be waiting."
After that Leonel flew off. Katherine and Alexi heaved a sigh of relief. They looked at the boys who looked very sleepy. They all drove back home and the boys fell asleep as soon as they hit their beds. The Trial had exhausted them both mentally and physically.
They woke up 22 hours later feeling completely refreshed. It was midnight but Katherine and Alexi were awake, waiting for them. Katherine had cooked up a feast and the boys ate voraciously. After they were done eating, it was time to address some important matters. They moved to the living room.
"Did you know about Sir Mad Immortal?"
"Nope. I had no clue at all. Sir Mad Immortal and all his family members suddenly went missing about twenty years after our Awakening."
"Wait, what are you guys talking about? How does Zeke know about something that hasn't happened yet?"
Cass was very confused as to what was going on. He had already guessed that the other three were hiding something from him. The other three exchanged a look and nodded. They then asked Cass to take the same System Oath that Katherine and Alexi had taken and told him everything.
Although he was dissatisfied that they had kept him in the dark for three years, he also understood why they did it. On the bright side, they told him right after he had unlocked the System and became capable of taking System Oaths. He then hugged Zeke.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through that. But don't worry, I will not let anything happen to you. I will become so strong that nobody would even think of hurting my little brother."
Cass was a kind person. He would have refused to torture the subjects if he had another choice. He would never willingly harm another being if they didn't harm him first. But something changed inside him when his brother was involved. He was fiercely protective of Zeke ever since they were kids.
Six years ago, when they were four years old, Zeke was being bullied by a six-year-old boy. When he found out, he had broken that boy's arm. Thankfully, their mother had a healing skill and healed the boy, so his parents didn't make a fuss.
[They didn't make a fuss because compared to them, our parents were very strong and they were angry that I was being bullied by their son. If they had made a fuss...well, let's just say that the boy wouldn't be the only one with a broken arm. And no, our parents did not have anger issues. It was the influence of the bloodlines. Probably.]
But something was different this time. When he heard how other Zeke was killed by that Fae, rage started bubbling inside him. The amethyst flecks in his eyes brightened and he subconsciously released his mana.
"Cass, calm down. I'm fine, aren't I? Besides I will kill that son of a bitch myself. Even better, I will make him beg for it. Beg for the divine mercy that is death."
Ironically, the amethyst flecks in his eyes also brightened and he also released his mana.
"That's enough. You two are getting very emotional. You boys have better control over your emotions than this. We will continue this conversation after you examine your System Windows and find what is causing this."
Zeke realised that Katherine was right. The him before he unlocked the System would never say something so cringeworthy. They headed to the training field. They had built the training field for Alexi's subordinates.
Zeke and Cass said 'Status' at the same time.

3. Battle Machine: Seals all emotions allowing one to think objectively in battle. This is an active trait and can be turned off at will.
4. Insatiable Thirst: Grants an insatiable thirst for knowledge, if you want it. Although an active trait, once it is used, it cannot be turned off and evolves into Mad Scientist.
5. Mad Scientist: Condition-based trait that removes all inhibitions when it comes to research, experiments, and overall pursuit of knowledge.
6. Celestial Trinity: (Uninitiated) Each of the three Vessels take inspiration from celestial bodies to evolve.
Innate Abilities:
1. Stellar Ignition: Grants the ability to channel the radiant energy of distant celestial bodies into their Starfire, creating intensely powerful and focused Starfire flames. These flames possess the pure essence of stars and are capable of purifying and incinerating their foes with a celestial inferno.
2. Eclipse Manipulation: Harness both Solar Light and Lunar Shadow to create dazzling eclipses, altering reality and affecting their surroundings.
3. Soulbound Dominion: Grants the ability to forge pacts and alliances with beings of various realms, strengthening their bond with otherworldly entities. Through these connections, they can manipulate and control souls, forming unbreakable bonds that grant them dominion over life forces, the spiritual realm, and their enemies' souls.
4. Phoenix Resurgence: Grants the ability to heal and restore souls while mastering the art of rebirth, allowing them to resurrect from ashes. This ability can only be used once per Grade.
5. Divine Synthesis: Grants the ability to merge multiple affinities, creating unique and immensely powerful abilities by combining Star Fire, Solar Light, Lunar Shadow, Life, and Soul.
6. Ethereal Strategists: Analytical intellect superior to Ash Demons, granting the ability to swiftly decipher complex situations, devise brilliant strategies, and create powerful solutions.
Acquired Abilities:
1. Primogenitor's Blood (EX): Grant your bloodline to a gestating unborn being. (One per Grade)
2. Gemini Fusion Harmony (Unique Gradeless): Twin souls unite, melding energies in perfect harmony. As one, their strengths intertwine, forging an unparalleled force that transcends individual limits. The fusion of Gemini essence creates a formidable entity, embodying the seamless blend of their powers.
3. Supreme Creator's Insight (EX): Provides an innate understanding, allowing one to analyze every intricacy of their crafted entities, from the grand design to the minutest atom, unveiling the essence and secrets within. Also provides subtle hints for the improvement of the item.

Cass's Skill Window was the same except that he didn't have the Supreme Creator's Insight skill. Both of them were left speechless and they weren't even done yet. They still had to check the System Achievement Window.

Except for achievement number 3, Cass also had all these System Achievements. The reason that he had achievement numbers 5 and 6 but not 3 was because of contribution. Zeke and Cass had contributed equally when they created the Blood Soul Slimes. They had both bled together, tortured the subjects together, and even fed the souls to the slimes together.
In the System's proverbial eyes, that was an equal contribution, at least as far as the Blood Soul Slimes were concerned. The recipe for the elixir, on the other hand, was solely Zeke's brainchild. The System merely recognized his merits and rewarded him for that. Just as they finished reading, both of them got a System notification.
"System Achievements: Gemini Primogentitors, Hidden Predator, Creator of a New race, and Destroyer of a New Race have given birth to a Myth."
"Myth: Twin Arbiters of Equibrilium has been recorded."
"The news of a new Myth will be announced to all worthy beings. Do you wish to spread this announcement?"

They didn't know what was going on. What Cass and Zeke did know was that unwanted attention was the last thing that they needed. They both chose 'N' without hesitation.

Suddenly, the boys felt a burning sensation on their solar plexus. It only lasted for a minute but it was very intense. A tattoo had been tattooed there.

Katherine smacked Zeke's head.
"What was that for?"
"That is what you get for cussing. Now tell me, what just happened? Why do the both of you have tattoos?"
They explained their race and abilities to Katherine and Alexi. Then, they told them about the new skill.
"Congratulations. The two of you are officially overpowered. I don't know about the Myth stuff but that Gemini skill reminds me of a move from an anime."
"Dibs on Goku."
"Huh? You can't do that."
"Why not?"
[Even the end of the world couldn't stop weebs. More than a millennium has passed but anime, it is eternal.]
They stopped bickering and tested all of their Innate Skills and Racial Traits. About three hours later, they went back home and took a shower because they couldn't take a bath. Showering with wings was a nightmare.
They went downstairs and saw that it was already quarter to twelve. Mad Immortal would be arriving at any minute. After a few minutes, the bell rang. Zeke went and opened the door. It was Mad Immortal. Mad Immortal was smiling but his expression quickly changed into shock.
"How the fuck do you have a Totem"?
